The 3-pass gift bundle is still available. We added the single gift pass option in this patch as we've received a lot of feedback of people wanting to gift more than 2 passes in a season. Some things were reworked to accommodate that change on the back end.

Speaking to MCV, thatgamecompany co-founder and creative director Jenova Chen confirmed that the studio’s social adventure game will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

Once you standardise the data, it's all gravy. Pass the data to AWS, they do their mumbo-jumbo on the server side, and cross-play should be compatible regardless of system

The auto-fly-land system is also very finnicky, so trying to collect light, fly around and burn darkness is a really challenging task using a controller

There isn't really a way to reconnect with an old beta account, other than to be able to access again through an invite link. If that's what you're asking? But I was also curious if the actual account data is wiped. Perhaps we'll know more soon.

Your Sky id is visible from within the app, through the settings menu. There is "recovery code".
But are you talking about your Live account now? Then perhaps you should just contact Support instead. 🙂

Problem is the recovery code is difficult to understand

In my phone's settings I can see my Sky user id for both beta and Live. That's what would be your identifier. If you don't have that, I think it's very difficult for them to help.

In any case, for Live accounts this is the wrong channel 😉

@ atipleb: it's likely their cached info with the server got cleared so it just defaults to that blank looking skykid. If they log back into their accounts, their saved data will still be there and will update accordingly.

@ astro: all is not entirely lost, we might be able to cross-reference her account with yours and find the old account. I can't promise for sure but it's something that CS can look into.

If you’re on iOS, it will be a TestFlight link. You need the TestFlight app that will be linked to your iCloud account

Is there any indication of beta making it to Apple TV yet? I know the focus is still on trying to get Android done, but really, Apple TV should be like a week, maybe 2 weeks of work if you accept that chat would be disabled without a phone. Last time I tried the controller, it worked pretty darn well. Building for tvOS is just another build setting. I've got 4 apps of my own on tvOS, so I know it's not that much work to take a fully functional app from iOS to tvOS. This was supposed to be the first home for Sky right from the start.

@polar monolith the deer mask is supposed to get put into the in game store. They’re gonna remove the winter season pack and put in a Gratitude season pack.

At least that’s what they said in the release notes.

So far there has been no indication or mechanism introduced that will give a way to access ultimate rewards after completing traveling spirits. IMO it’s unlikely.

Unfortunately the demand to be a beta tester will always be astronomically higher than our needs as a developer to open up slots.

Beta isn't meant to be a substitute for the Live game, nor is it a free pass for early access to unreleased content. Beta is a test environment for us to identify and fix issues that did not occur during internal testing.

That’s definitely a misconception that I’ve seen in other Beta programs as well, not just this one.

Participating in a beta means 2 really important things:

If they run through all of the seasons, that’s 24 spirits that we already know about, putting the max at 140 just with the seasonal spirits we already know (including Rhythm/Winter).

Well it’s the most you can obtain but for the sake of conversation I would argue (semantically) that that’s different from a cap. It’s just that there aren’t more available. It's not uncommon for systems to be built beyond their intended scope. I don't have the time to get into the semantics/pedantics of it, but i'll leave this: if we had built it only to accommodate the wing buffs from the base game, it would have been next to impossible for us to add the winged light that we did for the Season of Belonging. That is why the system is built from the beginning to be capable of handling more than what is currently possible within the game's current constraints.
