it's actually not important in terms of beta testing that all players finish the season. it's important that the mechanics get a good run-through, but beta is about us helping the company put the game through its paces, not about the company giving us free stuff!

How do the travelling spirit works

they come on the weekends only ( 12 am friday- 12 am sunday pst) and offer up cosmetics and emotes from past seasons that will not repeat
we don't know if the spirits wilm repeat all that often but from what is stated in beta it seems they will return, but not as often as we expect

I don’t know if this has already been discussed but I was surprised at the changes in Prairie - bringing the entrance to the cave and bird’s nest area down to ground level - I’m fine with it either way but curious as to why that was something they felt they needed to change. Was there a problem that needed addressing that I just wasn’t seeing?

and i like that it makes it a bit easier to go around, esp to bird nest (which some players w less wings would find harder, esp since its the second map) since they either have to manuever up from the ramp or they have to fly off from somewhere high

There has been only one progress wipe for economy testing yes, but access wipes could be more frequent. We had one near global launch that removed access from everyone so old and new players got the same chance of joining the beta, but all progress was safe even if you didn’t make it in that wave

When the Great Reset happened and progress was wiped, no one lost access. After that when access was revoked, progress was safe. So it’s really just a matter of what they want to test at the time
Economy tests required everyone starting from scratch, but when they wanted to give new players and have more active testers a progress wipe wasn’t needed
So we just have to follow the #beta-announcements channel. Any decisions will surely be shared there

The time remaining of season in Beta is arbitrary, we just set a number for testing purposes and is subject to change at any time. During the Season of Belonging test cycle we increased the amount candles forged from the wax gathered from the seasonal candle nodes as well as made all 8 clusters available each day instead of the standard 4 you see on Live. We also extended the length of the season on beta so that people could continue to fiddle around with the content and provide feedback.
I cannot emphasize enough that Beta is for testing and things will not go Live as they appear in Beta. It isn't meant to be a loophole to avoid paying for content, which is why the risk of account progress being wiped at any time exists, sometimes we wipe the slate clean so that we can gather clean feedback from players that don't have accounts that are in varying stages of progress and can't actually experience new content/features as they are intended. That being said, if we ever do a progress wipe on Beta, we will announce it well ahead of time barring any catastrophic need to do so to address a greater problem.

the hide and seek spirit never got their wig snatched, that tall body we see isn't the spirit, secretly the real spirit is so small we can't see them under the wig, having worn the chibi mask for so long
They just got spooked by the quest giver and ran off, keeping the wig with them

The spirit being located behind a puzzle door, on the other hand, is intentional. We typically have Seasonal content that require some teamwork with your fellow players. It is a social game after all

The cool thing is that the spirit that visits is one from a previous season. They offer you the cosmetics from an older season.
You can buy the items for regular candles and hearts and ascended candles while they are here

Seasonal candles and spirits are going to be gold again for future seasons. The candle color/seasonal color variation was a sacrifice made in order to devote more time into items like cosmetics and story which matter more! (Basically gold is easier to tie into multiple colors which would be in season cosmetics vs harder colors to match like purple or green)
