A paywall for the Traveling Spirit would ruin its purpose in my opinion; to allow new players to experience specific seasonal spirits that they missed. If I were a new player and the game immediately asked me to shill out 5 dollars just to unlock a past spirit (which I would still have to get the candles / hearts for), I would probably be disappointed or patiently wait for the season to come back (if it were to come back).
I’m not saying “remove the AP!” or anything, but I think the non-AP Live players deserve to at least get the Ultimate Gift, if not a cape.

If you look at this game from it being a free game standpoint... it is an amazing game that is free to download and 100% free to play and have fun, with NO ADS! That is really hard to find in a game. Seriously, not one ad. The developers need to be supported. I do understand your point and I don’t have money to throw around either, but I don’t want to miss out on the exclusive items, so I buy it. All the games I play with passes, the pass items are exclusive limited time items. If they weren’t, I wouldn’t buy the pass.

Hmm odd. As for the portals they behave differently now. Instead of putting you at a checkpoint they will always put you at the start. You have to sit at the shrine in the middle to teleport to your checkpoint.

I think what will happen is that they got those emotes already.

When two players merge, one player gets chosen as the authority of that server.

Before gratitude ran after global launch it was tested in beta for only 2 weeks

We don't really know. Patch notes says it is "mysterious".
Presumably it measures how friendly you are towards others, such as helping newbies, joining in opening multiplayer doors/elevators, doing joint quests.
Sending hearts is not included, though. Probably because it could be misused.
