I don’t think this restructure is malicious or terrible. There’s a bunch of other games that do similar things. One of the other mobile games I’ve played for years (Dungeon Hunter V) has an event every two weeks where you can get certain cosmetics and battle armor but you literally can’t get them without paying money. Then they bring those old items back later with the ability to get them for free through a separate event, but you have to put in an exorbitant amount of effort to do so
