I got the prairie one but was denied it due to a bug. When I went back to try again, the door said I needed 5 of the seasonal spirits to even get through the door. Muscled past the terrible one in the hidden forest, still can’t get the one in the vault after 4 tries. So tiring to go through it over and over and lose it at the very end. So after I finally earned the right to get through the prairie door again - can’t get the spirit because even though I don’t have it, the game thinks I have it.
I reported the bug but so far no fix for me.

- if you cast a glow spell, the umbrella will be affected as well

I think the main thing missing with the maps is what was present in beta maps though - the old maps had more depth and detail that better encouraged curiosity and created a better illusion of space

I was able to climb up one, but could not go back down any of them. There’s an invisible floor just below the top of each skylight.
On the plus side I can stand in midair in the larger skylights and chirp at people below who can see me.

I gotta say, I love the masks this season. The masks in Gratitude and Winter were large and flashy, and didn't easily fit in with the style of the standard cosmetics. These seem like they can be combined with the regular items much more nicely.

I think it’s helpful to see the betas TGC do not as content to come specifically but things they’re testing - in game development you fling a lot of stuff at the wall and most of it doesn’t stick, and that can be seen with the two years the game was in beta before release.
TGC just seem to be more public when testing new ideas out to get feedback and data on them so they can make more informed decisions. There’s always things you don’t think will work but do, and things you do think will work but dont, which is why tests are vital.

My guess is that the badge is there to signal to others that you are someone who can help. But the weakness of such a system is that it is not a role the player themself has chosen, so they may be "accosted" by all and everyone even when they just want to play on their own.
It's going to be similar for anyone who wears the beta cape in regards to the secret area.

My favourite mask is the “fall dead” spirit’s, but most hair tends to clip through it.

Have they reduced the candle yield from wax back to live standards? I noticed quite clearly at the beginning just how easy it was to earn candles at the start of beta, but it’s slowed down now. It led me thinking. If they increased the yield in game, make it easier to earn those candles, it would reduce the grind significantly. Keep the grind for seasonal stuff, but make it easier to earn normal candles in game. The wait wouldn’t be so long to finally earn enough for cosmetics you really want or to unlock higher tier friendships, and the seasonal stuff you can work towards. Ive noticed, particularly now I’m playing both live and beta, and have responsibilities in real life, I don’t have the time to do a thorough candle run in one, let alone two games. If the goal is too far away (it’s going to take too long and I can’t see significant enough progress), I’ll get bored eventually. I buy the occasional candle pack if I need to, a quick 3 candle to return a heart to a friend when I haven’t got enough and don’t want to leave it hanging, and occasionally a bigger bundle because I’ve run out of patience for something, and I don’t think a bigger candle yield would really affect that. If you’re one who does IAP on occasion, you’ll still do IAP regardless. I love the game and I see the IAP’s as a way of supporting the devs and contributing to bigger, better things. So. Easier to forge normal candles, onus on the seasonal stuff. I’ll be buying my seasonal pass no question. The more I’m able to unlock, the more fun I have, and the more I’m brought back into the game if I have friends I can do fun things with or help others with difficult bits. That’s the pull for me.

In the Android beta, I can't actually get the cape from the first child of light. I automatically walk up to the child, some action appears, I click it, and nothing happens.

@spark lance If you are talking about the height spell, I think you can get it randomly from any spirit. As for the chibi mask, the hide-and-seek spirit in Forbidden Forest has it.

The spell is kind of cool because you can wear whatever mask you want and be chibi for 5 minutes. I had fun running around with Fox face on being chibi in live. Just keep unlocking those spells, you’ll eventually get given one!

We lost someone during the wasteland spirit. There were three of us working on it. Did great until we had to drop down from the top of the ship. I saw the ref light and just dived off the edge, hoping for the best. One got hit, the two of us carried on. Felt bad, bc we all worked great together, keeping the crabs at bay. Didn’t expect the krill to see us.

No, but I felt it rather confusing, and also saw some people reporting it as a possible glitch.
I fell down fast there, missed the spirit and had to challenge the falling twice more to reach him. (And the only reason I knew that I did not successfully complete the spirit's path and had to try reaching the spirit again while he's still there was because I was playing with my family beta player who could see my screen and point out that I don't have the spirit's emote yet.)

The actual beta cape is only for the people who were in beta before live launch. New beta testers won't get a reward which can be used in the live version of Sky.

I’m going for white cape in beta because why the hell not? I’ve got proper goals in live, and had a stupid amount of candles in beta so I’ve bought up all the hearts from the spirits and I’m close now. It’s a sea of beta/founder cape in there. Virtually every player now.

I hate the table. It’s the griefing. The blocking portals, the sticking it right on top of the constellation table so you get stuck in it, the chasing you down wherever you are to demand hearts (one (now blocked) friend did this every day). I get a shudder when I see a table. It wasn’t fun.
