Yes - It's only a little over a year since the first time I played Journey as well. I got it when Sony gave it for free in April-early May 2020. Later on in the same year I grew curious about flOw and Flower so eventually I got them

updating the new interface makes a lot of things difficult and I feel more and more errors . This makes me really frustrated with the game. You can collect symbols which serve the same purpose as wing buffs and collecting them all will ||unlock a white robe which has the power to auto recharge when on the ground||

Journey encourages you to replay the game for a different experience each time and emotionally feel attached with your companion along the way. Sky is focused on social features and cosmetics for the most part. So both games, despite their similarities, are a lot different when it comes to main focus and goal

The 3rd flOw creature is the hardest one to control in my opinion. Activating it's special skill can be used for a quick getaway, but I think it causes the tail to become shorter every time I use it

there's a version that was released before the retail stuff from the author's thesis, here's the official site, its a version made in adobe flash, you can play it on the browser if you have a supported flash plugin which is hard to come by since its EOL but you can download a flash standalone player version

Nah I never did dig its files. I only opened the graphics settings file to screw around because the game was a bit slow on my computer. I've been playing Journey for a bit over a year. I got it for free when Sony gave it away in April-May 2020 and I was on PS4 at the time so I played it there. What an experience
Some time after, I returned to the PS3 and I've been playing there ever since. With some of PS4 again and a couple of journeys on PC

it maps the controls to the camera screen, like if you were to put a controller stick on the screen

By a glitch you can connect to yourself in Journey and you can see a duplicate of yourself merging with you. But it only seems to work on ps4 and pc (steam, probably epic too)

So apparently you start the game offline and go to watch the final cutscene of a level with the ancestor (seems to work on pink desert), when the cutscene shows the side scrolling glyth you connect to the internet and after the cutscene ends you jump off the platform and get some distance from it as you're falling (flapping helps)

You might connect with yourself and get the infinite flight glitch or see a traveler sitting and freaking out

Differences between PS3/4 are minor details but in a game like Journey details make a big part of it (at least for me). PC version is busted the most but it's still the same game. Music and sounds aside it works well

flower is available on steam, epic and gog
journey had a year exclusivity in epic, and also in steam. however crossplay is not compatible between any of the platforms, including epic and steam.
there were a lot of issues in epic regarding companion connectivity, steam is recommended because it uses steam client's excellent p2p system.
and sadly the iOS version is just inferior

those freezes especially the latter can take up from 5-10 sec to as high as 30-40 sec

In flOw you play from a top down perspective and eat foods and attack other creatures. There's no storytelling, it's a simple and straightforward game

Flower is an adventure where you need to go from one place to another by pushing flower petals using wind and solving (easy) puzzles. However I wouldn't recommend if you suffer from motion sickness

Personally I adore both of them but taste varies, I hope I explained them good enough

journey is so worth purchasing. its not like sky where you get new things every so often, so it does end up after awhile getting dull and boring, but its always nice to pick it up after awhile, and look for new travelers to have a journey with.

Sky is made after journey which have similar creature like stuff such as butterfly and krills. Other than that some part of the map have similarities in it and the game mechanics are almost the same

Btw I wanted to mention that the first time I played journey I played with someone very kind and at the end when we were both.... cough about to beat the game they drew a heart for me in the snow. I still remember and look back on it fondly, I doubt they know the impact it had on me but just in case that person is here and remembers, thank you. I was a child and really needed that small kindness in my life

yes they're games. they're what some people call "low play" games, but the player has to manually explore to progress (in journey and sky at least. i havent played flower or flow). there are light platforming/puzzle elements as well

Technically they are games but personally I prefer to call them "interactive art", because tgc's games genuinely stand out more than other games in a good way

Calling them simply "games" feels under-appreciating and I'd feel like I throw them in the same category of other games that I wouldn't call "art". I speak for me personally, if I see other people calling them "games" it doesn't count because we all have different mindsets

hello! so I'm interested in testing out Journey, as well as a few of my friends as well. I was wondering if the multiplayer feature of the game is the same as Sky's ? (e.g you can teleport to them and whatnot) , if not how are we supposed to see and interact with one another? i read the wiki and i got really confused so i came here for clarification ^^

Journey encourages players to play with a stranger and you can play with one person at a time. You can, however, exploit the game to connect you with a friend to play together by arranging to meet in a certain area

Oh, also it does not have crossplay so make sure you and your friends play on then same platform

my friend sent me a stream saying "oh hey this guy's playing journey" cause he knows I'm a huge fan of sky and journey, and turns out one of the ONLY other people streaming journey (on twitch) at the time was the person he was playing with, and their respective chats told them so
