Today i got two rainbow trail spells from boat, that count to 4x2 rainbow trail spells with the cost of 450x2 candles(two accounts) this DoR. Expecting to get another rainbow trail spell in the next 200-250 candles

Season pass costs IRL currency. Hearts are in-game currency and it's a violation of the Sky terms of service to use in-game currency as IRL currency equivalent. So there's no way to estimate cost and you should not attempt to buy or sell passes for hearts

sorry if you’ve moved on already and I’m pinging you unnecessarily their existence doesn’t break any rules really, but they can very easily be used as a means to ”gain an unfair advantage over other players” - which is a direct line from the ToS. basically, you’re fine to create alts for either testing purposes, to experience the game’s early stages again, and for many other reasons, as long as you’re not using the alt as a stepping stone to violate the terms of service

you'll have to preplan your sky life ahead of time now which is pretty awful but what can we do when we're a "margin of error" to game devs. we don't currently know the schedule for the events but as soon as i find out I can let you know if you want. for normal candle runs just plan to be on when the events aren't happening. for the events themselves it'll take a lot of planning and coordinating but if you get a group together you can make it work. make sure to have 8 players total who know you and know your needs so you fill your server and don't risk merging with strangers who might make flashiness worse. hugs/highfive and any other friend actions will instantly charge your light even if you're grey so you don't need to deep call. keep your camera zoomed out and facing down towards the ground to reduce the shaking and reduce some of the bad lighting. I can't explain some of the more "spoiler" tips on how to safely navigate these events here since the season isn't live yet but I don't mind dming you or coming back after the session is live if you want the post to be referencable to others who might need these tips. hope you're able to navigate the season and the future of sky safely

oh my gosh thank you for this reply. sometimes i feel like im the only one who deals with these kinds of issues with Sky and what with the lack of accessibility options for lighting (ESPECIALLY ON THE SWITCH AGHH) it sort of feels pretty isolating. i really like the cosmetics of this season and i'd like to get them all but just from what ive seen it feels like its gonna be a struggle to consistently play. i'd def appreciate more tips once the season goes live, thanks a lot for all of this

my main concern is gonna be the first week considering that the eruptions are going to be more frequent and possibly further randomized until they "settle" into a more structured format, but i hope that there's still gonna be the ability to figure out a guide of some sorts even if its just temporary

usually there are players who work on guides for determining when events will happen in Sky and continue testing throughout the season for any changes so you should hopefully have that too

keep an eye out for those as the season progresses! usually people like clement and io and other people who frequent #questions-and-help will post helpful guides

you're definitely not alone. I've been fighting for accessibility since rhythm. if you want i can add you and we can coordinate working together on these. I have a few people who are safe to do the events with too if we can match schedules

another way to prep for the season is, like kai said, to let other people know that deep calling can be DANGEROUS to photosensitive players and can easily be replaced by hugs or high fives. making sure other people know this can go a long way in helping to minimize the danger

also def mention any and all concerns in #live-feedback as the season progresses so the devs know that players are concerned about a lack of accessibility in the game

i posted a video in #screenshots-and-videos a few weeks ago immediately after the latest update showing off an area leading into Eden that just constantly flashes the bloom off of everything lit up due to the "fog" particle effect and the wind moving around quicker. i took a vid of it both on Switch and on mobile and submitted it to feedback but i havent been able to go back to Eden due to it being an unavoidable section i have to cross through

afaik we dont have the same particle effects and wind happening during the shard events but it was def really uncomfortable and made me feel even more worried for lighting accessibility

if you’d like, I can show you how to skip large parts ||of the ascent to the point of no return. outside of testing, I haven’t gone to eden without going out of bounds since 2020. it doesn’t solve the frankly appalling lack of accessibility options, but it might make it easier for you to suffer eden. though even the oob route brings you quite close to the (now even more flashy) red beam||

well if you're feeling that pressured I'd suggest you at least avoid the first week of live release, as stated in the blogpost "During the first week of the Season they’ll be particularly intense, so it may be best to tackle them with others. They will gradually settle down in the following weeks of the Season though, for a mix of regular and stronger eruptions as time goes on."

Hello. Even though I don t think I am photosensitive I am concerned about accessibility. Know beforehand what to do is a very good idea. Maybe choose an icon to add to that friend to easily remember they are photosensitive can help as well. Too much/bright or too little light and flashy lights can be an isssue even if you dont have a serious problem with them... Are there any other suggestions or ideas to help others with this?

True...wax count is complicated. I ve noticed a few things about that if helps others. One thing is that after being at grandmas dinner (starting with 3 chevrons) grandma gives me 6 candles and the plants from turtle big plant + Beach Clam gives me 1 more candle.

The turtle is sometimes bugged and it might teleport you in a random place if you stand on it but you'll still need to swim yourself to the bottom of the trench to collect the clams. Also make sure to get all the clams because they'll dissappear once the sunset is over

Yess! You can find them swimming around on the trench that is located near the islands where the friendly crabs are

They last for about... Roughly fifteen to twenty minutes not sure how long they last

But the first ten minutes they leave a wax trail which you can collect and after that they just swim around for some time

They start on the 50th minute after reset and repeats every 2 hours

Along with the clams :3 (clams despawn after 10 minutes and you can only collect them once)

The main thing we're not sure about for the season is how frequent the shard events are going to be in live, because TGC hasn't announced the schedule or anything. All we know is that it will be less frequent than it was in beta, which was every 30 minutes for testing purposes

No, once you have a gift pass it will remain on your account until you decide to gift it to someone. You can choose to gift it during this season, or you can keep it to give to a friend in a future season if you want

The shattering start around 00:05 at the hour with the impressive explosion of the Eden mountain. The background of the mountain start to turn red and as lightning intensifies the entire mountain top become illuminated and a loud bang can be heard while the ground start to shake. Around 00:08 at the hour , volcanic rocks can now be seen emerging from Eden and flying in every direction. These volcanic rocks may help you find the locations of the shattering.
