It's more for the message boats than the game as a whole, what would be weird is to shut down the game and then do the maintenance of something small

A lot of games do live maintenance when the thing requiring said maintenance is smaller, like the message boats. In MMOs, they can lock off one zone for quick hotfixes if needed, leaving the rest of the game up and only restricting access to that one area

Well the actual point, that Sky already mentioned, is to buy cosmetics to dress your skykid. Seasons are limited and so are the cosmetics. They come back as another feature of the game called travelling spirits. A lot of people like to express themselves through their skykids with the cosmetics. Others create OC's and whatever else they might find fun. There's no real goal to the game. It's just a social game about friendships. I would personally disagree but that's for another convo TGC intended for the game to be about socialising, kindness and making friends. Games like these are not everyone's cup of tea for sure, so it's perfectly okay if you might find this game boring and whatnot^^ I'd just take the time to explore and avoid diving into guides and all, personally they can ruin the experience for a game like this but how you play is totally up to you

You can create your own long term goals, for e.g. the base constellations, which can take months and even over a year to complete depending on how you go about it

I never bothered with the abyss quest .... i just passed out on it ... tho perhaps shouldve done the questline for free hearts ... eh. i can pay 3 candles per heart at some point..

I did however did the 1st quest for the swimming stuff

For the swimming ability you didn't need to do any quest. You could get the initiation in the cave near the boat prior the quests

Now new players automatically will have the swimming ability if they progressed enough in the game thanks to a post abyss update

if you mean other seasons, they can only return as traveling spirits.

in your home platform select the constellation above the middle shrine, that is where the current season of performance appears, with each spirit friendship tree.

Seasonal Currency FAQs

Seasonal Passes and Gift Passes

With each season, players get to buy seasonal adventure passes and gift passes. Once you purchase an adventure pass, it is automatically activated for yourself. Please note that the seasonal pass is only valid for the current season and you will need to purchase another for the next season. As for gift passes, these are the passes which you can give to your friends. To do so, first make sure you are friends with that player for at least three days. Next, simply access their friendship tree and then choose to send them the pass. Gift passes which are not used during the season will carry forward to the next season as gift passes. You will not be able to give the gift pass to yourself.

What do you get with the seasonal pass?

The seasonal adventure pass unlocks exclusive experiences for you during the season. While all spirits will be accessible regardless of whether you have the pass, some of their emote upgrades, some cosmetics and all ultimate prizes will only be available if you have the pass. With an AP, you also get one extra seasonal candle daily from the home space statue. Finally, buying the pass helps to support TGC!

What happens to seasonal candles when the season is over?

They get converted back to standard candles with a 1:1 ratio. The same goes for the seasonal hearts - they get converted to standard hearts.

Yup, and those are permanent. (kind of) (for now)

They are not at the exact same locations everyday, but there will be 3 big clams there, and 5 big clams in another area. (again, for now)

( This is maybe version 4.2 for clams I think, it roll back to be the same as ver. 4.0, don't know if tgc going to adjust it and make 5.0 after update...)

Since the season that area was quite abandoned by me and my friends. I love to hear and experience there are more clams in treasure reef and it's not the best but better worth to visit it now. I also feedback this great improvement

if you're looking for something to spice up your eden trips you can also oob during ||the ascent to orbit. there's a window to the left side of the main pathway where the sand starts. the window looks closed but can just be flown through like it doesn't exist. from there you can get to a "disney/harry potter" castle area where u can land on the buildings as well. also faster than normal ascent || let me share an old picture if I can find it

The ult gifts are on the right of the quest giver tree, the ones costing seasonal hearts

If you're talking about the item/s costing regular candles, they aren't the ultimate gifts and are just an extra cosmetic/s that seems to be a thing since Assembly. It looks like it's the mask on the left after the 2nd quest and there won't be anything else, looking at the closet- Unless there will be some update that'll add something else

It used to be how you would watch the final cutscene in early seasons, but now that we do that with the quest giver it's become obsolete
