Hiding has always been the main solution for avoiding krill.

There's a reason people used the tricks and the spell now exists, so there's obviously use for it

I think the issue with the spell tho is it takes a few seconds for a spell to activate. Without mentioning beta👹 We don't know how it will be like, but since it's a spell, and spells do take a few seconds. I don't think it would be useful for that reason, you're panicking, scrolling through the spell section, tapping the 'Yes I want to use it', the little sparkling animation- By that time the krill would be having a full sky kid feast😭😭😭
It would be useful for if you know you will get krilled tho, like using it whilst flying around certain areas of GW, but hiding would be better if you're already spotted

The easiest way to dodge anything like that is just using it before you go to an area with them. They only exist in gw ||eden and office|| and unless you're 100% fresh (and thus unlikely to have the spells to begin with) you will already know where they are

Another thing you can do is as soon as DoM starts you can send in feedback wishing for them to perhaps be auto used if seen rather than a spell you have to use yourself, but I can see a lot of issues with that too (like that first one you see eating a manta which is super easy to dodge even if seen)

Having to balance school and game is always hard but maybe farm atleast 2 or 3 maps which yields you the most candles (personal suggestion would be Valley, Prairie and/or Vault) then make your last save to Polluted Geyser and set an alarm for each time stamp the Geyser will go off. That way, you can do school or IRL stuff while waiting for Geyser to reset.

Maybe aim for atleast 10-15 candles daily and last but certainly not the least, take break/s if necessary to avoid burnout

For getting wax, i just candle walk. Not run haha. I appreciate the game more that way. I usually just aim for 10 to not burn out and 2 realms (daily + cake realm/prairie) are enough for that. I always leave geyser last to save as checkpoint so that I could come back if ever i have time.

Adding to this, this is all subjective, and it depends on the player's perspective.
Try not to be pressured by the events or TS. Get what you want, with what you think you'll use the most. That way you can manage your currencies

Well i also do still fly! Just not in a rush you know? I think that's what makes candle running so exhausting; everyone's just.. running. It helps me notice other players too and if someone's honking for help haha. But i do understand that most people don't have time to slow down.. :'(

There's no quest giver out in the realms for any of the first four seasons (Gratitude, Lightseekers, Belonging, and Rhythm), yeah

I believe the reason that there is no quest giver for gratitude through rhythm is simply because those seasons had no seasonal quests. They simply consisted of the daily quests for seasonal candles, the seasonal spirits from whom you could buy cosmetics and seasonal hearts, and the quest giver from whom you could buy ults using seasonal hearts. But that’s just based on what I’ve read on app unwrapper, my first season was prophecy.
