Spirits not return as it appears now, it will be replaced with TGC alike spirit when it returns as TS, the area stay remain

If you think you'll be tight on candle budget, you can always skip an item or two, from TS Friendship Tree since they will eventually come back (not unless you really want the TS Item/s right away)
Sword Suit, on the other hand, won't come back once season concludes.

The area will remain and I believe the spirits will have a chance to return as traveling spirits because they are TGC’s original creations rather than used from the story.

The seasons have been getting tighter and tighter. I believe this season if you bought the pass from day one you would still only have about 14 days that you would be able to miss

I usually candle run valley for a bit from valley social space to ice rink, then I go home because that would probably give enough time for the candles to be unlit at home. You can also head to gw social space and check if the candle cake is unlit and if it's lit you can go back home, wait for 3-5 minutes and then go back.
