@chrome cliff - they follow a pattern. There are some great YT walkthroughs that show you how to avoid them.

I had only returned to ||eden for a second time once between resets, and I incorrectly remembered them just staying lit up, not gone. On the bright side, I only found one statue during the misadventure with my moth, so I know I've got The Eye down.|| And I can for sure get them through air and fire lickety split. I rarely die more than a few times in either one.

@sick nymph - you wanna take the trail of candles to the left of the checkpoint. Wait for the 3 monsters to pass- one from over the wall to the left, the other two come towards you and turn down the hallway in that same wall. Once they've passed, go through that same hall. You'll reach a candle where the trail turns sharp left. You can stand at that candle safely until more smoke monsters pass, then book it down that path and make your way to the right when things split. After that it's hard to describe.

Right after the checkpoint, once the first monster passes, you can wait at the candle right before the left turn into the hall if you're careful.
But yeah, just past that hall, you book it straight, and when you come to the end of the line of candles just stop, you're safe. The trail continues to the left, and you take it once the monster goes down that path. I think the hardest section is just after that because of the multiple branches, but you can kinda just try each one and do it over when you die then try another till you get it right. The section after the 3rd checkpoint is easy peasy.

No, there are absolutely candles where the monsters can't get you. My first time through I was with a friend. When we'd find a safe candle, I'd wait there and they'd venture off to find the next checkpoint. When they'd die, they used warp to get back to me. There were single candles where I stood for 10 min or more.

@sick nymph - It's so hard to describe, a video is better, but I'll try again. 1) wait at checkpoint, facing into the room. A monster will come down over the wall to your left. Advance a couple candles then stop. This candle isn't safe forever, but it is for a bit. 2) two monsters will come right at you, then they turn to their right (your left). Give it a second then turn down the same path they take (to your left) 3) now book it straight through a line of candles and stop at the last one. That's the one where monsters can't get you. You make a sharp left from there once the monster passes.

I'm so proud of my moth! They asked for help with air, and I thought they wanted an uber, but they insisted on doing most of it on their own. I watched them fall so many times but they persisted and did pretty much the entire trial up to the final checkpoint without anything more than my encouragement. They ultimately acquiesced to letting me Uber them through the last two jumps after the final checkpoint, but they tried so hard to do it on their own.

Any advice on ubering Skykids through the Trial of Fire? My friend kept burning out, even when no smoke monsters were near. I thought both were supposed to stay lit while holding hands.

Even if you do have a friend, you will burn out if you're not near those white candles - it just happens a bit slower
Also holding out your candles helps to brighten the place for better vision

So I had fun doing a CR/WLR in Trial of Water with a random Skykid, and we were emote spamming in the cave after, and I did a follow me emote towards the earth trial, and they did a point emote in the same direction, and we ran through the doors and as I knelt down in the circle I could see they were trying to friend me but it was too late and I ended up in the trial alone. I originally plan to saved extra two hundred candles on top of finishing constellation (candles), now I feel I won’t able to make it soon.
It feels like each TS costs around one fourth of the constellation total candles cost

Question; I need to have 158 seasonal candles to complete the season's constellation and get the ultimate award. There's 24 days left until the season ends. I currently have 50 seasonal candles. Do I have enough time to collect all the candles I need before time runs out without paying for more candles and just doing the quests and stuff?
I suck at math pretty badly so uh I haven't been able to figure it out on my own.
