I was contemplating on buying the Adventure Pass in a few days, and was faaaairly sure I was gonna do so. Then, about 15 minutes ago, I went looking on Youtube for the "handpan" instrument added in this season.
As I checked out the thumbnails, I noticed something.
There was one video with an actual, IRL handpan in the thumbnail.
And as I saw that, I remembered that I actually knew what a handpan was!
The sister of one of my best friends actually showed me what it was about a year or 1 1/2 years ago, and we listened to a fair bit of handpan music!

I had zero idea I actually knew what a handpan was, but now the sound is so familiar, and now I definitely NEED this Adventure Pass and Handpan instrument, especially thanks to/for the memories!

I was lucky enough to catch someone else in the midst of doing the mountain one! We helped each other out, with one of us standing on the next platform to "catch" the light in case the other ends up falling, so it did take about 10 minutes, maybe longer, but it felt satisfying to finish it!
Unfortunately, the other person didn't end up at the top while I was there, hope they didn't miss the spirit ^^'

I had one slight issue with seashell collector because being chibi makes it hard to trigger the next step when you go down the slide. I kept clipping out of the way and not touching her spark

Fountain escort was more entertaining (read also difficult) in chibi because of the clipping issues. Quest giver is also too tall for me to grab my daily quests unless I look directly up. However I will never not love being chibi.

But I can definitely imagine it comes with its own set of challenges!

After you drop down from the Hidden Forest's social area with the campfire in the middle, then fly down to the grassy hill with lots of trees, there's a gate at the top of the hill letting you into the rest of the area!
Seems you probably already know now, but around the hill, flying around the trees, the light should be!

I guess? I mean I rarely activate glide mode unless the game forces it. You get less air in glide mode

If you do a flip while boosting, then gliding will actually take you higher

To do a flip in the air (which can only be done while gliding) swipe up quickly on the left side of the screen. Just a small fast swipe up should make you flip.

@stable wing the general advantage of being in a group is that the crabs' attention gets divided over more targets, so it's more likely that someone will always be staying with the spirit to stop it from timing out due to being left alone; more players also means that you've got more people trying to do deep calls to flip crabs over, but they can occasionally clash with each other and flip them back upright

it's still slow going, but even while you're getting knocked around, you can keep pushing the progress forward more easily as you're taking turns distracting/getting knocked around than if you're purely solo i'd say

i've played meatshield both inside and outside of the guidance circle, i find it's just generally helpful to have a bit of support for those quests (especially to keep your light topped up)

that's also a good point: the spirit's a bit harder to guide when you've got players pulling it in multiple directions, which is why i actually like to hang back a little for the mountain climbing one (trying to recharge the guiding player's light while not interfering with the route they take where possible)
