i believe after you find a light, you need to return it to the quest giver at the ark before they give you a hint of the next light's location. once you've been given the hint, you can search for the next light

Green Light: located in the Birds Nest area of Daylight Prairie. The Birds Nest is the area to the right of the Butterfly Fields (the first area of Prairie with the large spherical rock structure) behind a constellation gate (the area with the floating islands). You may need to wait a few minutes for the manta the light is on to drop the light and/or get into range so you can fly to the light

You can just wait on the island where it drops.

Higher up in the sky there is a teleport “wall”, much like in all levels.
