For the longest time I didn't get full points from Village of Dreams and suddenly I do. It's strange. Treehouse is fine in a group and Jellyfish is my favorite but really hard solo. Those 2 are also the worst for merge glitches.

There’s one seasonal heart at the top of each spirit’s tree. This late in the season you should probably use a calculator to see what you can afford through buying/taking on adventures

having a friend honking you will recharge your light, which will help if you need to move quickly (plus having someone else around could help with the fear !), there's also many plants that you can recover oxygen from, and fish and other light creatures will also provide air

Well the light activity is kinda difficult still but burning is easier because of the less red rocks, theres usually at least double 😭

I don’t remember the song names myself, but when you’re jamming with spirits you can usually tap into the music sheet menu, which will show you what song you’re in the middle of.

To add to that...the music sheets can change each time you complete the activity.

It'd be worthwhile if we could see tall stalks of sunflowers rather than just 1 or 2 in the field

Ngl I realised how silly it is that skykids are used to flying around that the bucket full of water weighs them down more than they expected, hence the slow climb out of the pond

They're all children after all yet the players just, want to get it done fast, not completely used to the slow paced activities 😔

Yay! My favourite daily quest is back! Flying with the butterflies, I will challenge myself again to complete it with out touching the ground. I will try to record it and may post it later.

Also a reminder to solo players, there are multiple seasonal quests that you can relive to hold a friends hand. Blue bird is one, my favourite (because I believe it is the easiest for moths) is the first quest in the 2 Embers, just go to the cinema, activate the first quest and hold hands with the toy maker, you don't even have to complete the quest.

I feel like Lightmending is one of those Seasons with the most quests. (Unless there is another Season like Lightmending with a lot of quests...?)

12 total quests is a lot for me but it's good how there is something to do during the Season. I did calculation-ish and after the last quest we'll have one more week of Lightmending

Lightmending, cosmetics wise is a little too formulaic while Migration was varied, but gameplay wise?

Lightmending for the win!

I love having something that requires effort while I CR.

And with every lantern having completely swapped obstacles and crystal locations, and throw in devices in the mix, it doesn't get old for me! (Minus the unskippable cutscene after completion).

Now I wonder if the final device is some bombshell of a surprise.

tbf you didn't even have to mend a lantern to do the quest, just clear off the platform. so it's not like they were lengthy like migration

I see it as a 1980s cartoon show. It is the same general "save the spirit memory" goal with a different device each week.

i enjoy the implications of lightmending enough to forgive its relative lack of story, although i do hope broken memory lanterns return as a thematic element to be explored further

the whole idea of spirits and how they relate to memory is fascinating to me and i want to see more of it

It's a very interesting that the lightmending map is procedurally generated, so there's never been the same exact map every day, which is new given that for the past challenges there would always be some infographics prepared by other players

I like that also, however there are some maps with really out of the way and tight spaces where the fragments hide, I see many people giving up and going back home when trying to find these. I just use the fragment finder and my tournament torch for recharging

Not to mention a really evil spot a candle cake was once in, it was right deep inside the stack of cubes

I did wonder at first if the spirit in the memory provided the key for the procedural generation, and therefore that spirits lanterns would always be the same each time, but I am glad it is not.

Yeah! There are a lot of randomisation factor to it; which section of the larger terrain map, the water levels, the giant assets and the candle cake locations etc etc

nowadays I just go for the candle cake and leave

and im usually alone in the lightmending maps now, I suppose most have given up trying to lightmend

Sometimes I like being alone, that way I get to try to find everything, other days I am just too tired and don't mind if others find them. I just collect the extra wax after they have left.
