I'm afraid that's only applicable to Due Workshop, being able to trade off dyes with twice the worth of dye per week. Dyes collected per day via Realm is still the same.

Argh! I just got krilled. I faced the dragon not a problem, but then someone went through and pulled it into an area which is usually safe while I was burning a plant. My spirit buddy got in the way of the camera and I couldn't see which way to go, bam! I lost 4 WL. Very frustrating just because someone wanted to play fast and loose with the krill.

That's the advantage of it, no need to venture in Eye of Eden just to get a blackdye (while event lasts), as you candle run, you can easily fill it up.

When your 30 minutes is up then the spirit has a heart at it's centre or on it's spirit ball that flies around, then bring up it's menu and click the heart, you should see the friendship line highlight further upwards. Each tier requires more adventuring than the previous one.

We’ll see how it plays out but as a concept I think this season fell flat on its face. Why revamp spirits that already have their story and setting, instead of play off of two embers showing the beginning of the migrations form the danger of the shattering approaching, or have a new group of peoples move into the realms that are alive like moths are. Or have a flash back season again too to before the shattering where a new group of peoples or light animals come and brings struggles or challenges or companionship and new methods or something

i don't necessarily think the job of the seasons is to constantly expand upon and explain the lore of the game, since a lot of sky's storytelling is wordless for the purpose of leaving things up for interpretation—rather, i think the job of the seasons is to tell stories within the setting that's already been established. two embers pushed that a little bit because it's the lore season, but even it follows the trend of telling the stories of individual spirits within the setting during the actual quests

the mannequins and shattering spirits are also difficult to bring back into the traveling spirit ecosystem, seeing as how the shattering spirits needed their own group event to be able to return

you could also say that bringing back and developing/revamping old spirits reduces character bloat, although i think sky is less prone to that in general since the characters aren't constantly talking at you lol

also from what i am assuming the spirits were picked because they're related to the animals of sky (butterfly charmer, jellyfish/bird/manta whisperer)
though i think they're not meant to be the main focuses of the season unlike the guide and migrating bellmaker

maybe their respective animals could appear in the season quests?

Also we do get the little moments with those spirits which gives us deeper perspectives into what they are, further than just their relives alone. We get to understand what their personalities are like too

Also expecting this season to follow what Two Embers P1 did is a bit unrealistic bc tgc is obviously saving a lot of chunk of lore for Part 2 later on. So right now this season is a very nice and calming season to me to recover from the previous season

also I think it's tgc's way of expanding on the existing spirit's story, giving them more depth than what they already are. Like I'm surprised that they revamped the basegame spirits!! Look at the glow up of the manta whisperer spirit they feel a lot more like what the Valley racers would've looked like! That's incredible, even it adds some lore to the ordinary people in the realms

It also gives the idea of the Valley people's style too, considering they share the similar aspects to the Tournament outfit and the AURORA's pants

Really hope tgc holds another dev talk again. So that they can share what they thought while developing this season I just don't want people to paint tgc as lazy again lmao

Yeah, it needs good mechanics and exploitability if there isn’t lore. Something Sky lacks. The social culture in Sky also totally dropped off from before my hiatus. It’s much more anti social now and people would rather glitch or chibi fall past you at a multi door than take 2 seconds to help you

People use it as a gatcha game or closet collector now

I doubt the social culture has dropped off. Back then it was because of pandemic and people had nothing to do out there so they spend more time in game and socialise more.

I don't experience the people refusing to help more either, it's always been the same over 3 years. It's like 80% still are willing to help

Every player has different play style, if this game isn't for you then honestly find something else

I do understand the frustration with doors. It's difficult going to vault right now because a lot of people have accepted that glitching through those doors is the norm. There are some level design changes like not making the candles appear yet that could help with that though.

I think for older players it's easy to get a sense of the game being colder because the friends you made when you started might have left. It can be hard to revisit the constellation and get back into that moth mindset of adding new people and making friends again when people have drifted away.

And personally I really appreciate that sky’s social systems are opt-in. If none of those were enough for me I’d go play another game

The music mechanic isn’t intuitive to me and I struggle with it a lot, plus it’s just not interesting to me. I liked exploring it with my irl friend and husband but they no longer like to play it with me because there’s also no meat in it for them, and just flapping around is lonely and with no way to recharge solo, pointless in a lot of the settings.

I’m not saying to friend everyone who tries to light you but don’t actively avoid it because then what’s the point of playing besides as a closet collector?

I am a closet collector but mainly I've gotten to a point I don't feel pressured to collect anymore. I play it more now as something to unwind with for the day. It's not to be social, or to collect, but just to relax. Because candle running for me is something easy to do, and allows me to think.

There's a social battery to consider as well. Sometimes I'm charged up and able to interact and emote with others, and other times I'm drained and just want to collect a little wax.
Everyone has different social battery levels and sometimes they just don't align and you find people that do or don't want to interact with you.

I want to share my opinion. While the new spirit "tree" is confusing at first, I liked something that I spent on like 5 or more seasonal candle packs. When I got to a high enough "tier" for one spirit, I shared a tender moment with them that made me feel all warm inside. I liked that. I might share the video I took here.

I've been working on Manta whisperer. I basically bought everything up to tier 3 then used 4 days to fill half the meter and bought the emote lvl 3 to finish tier 3. So Tier three should take 8 days total with just hangouts it seems.

-tier 0 items give 20 points each/40 points total
-tier 1 items give 30 points each/60 points total
-tier 2 items give 40 points each/80 points total
-tier 3 items give 50 points each/100 points total

In Dawn I found it but also the rogue winged light was back so got two
Then I went the wind paths to find the Migration Winged light number 2 but it wasn’t on the back side of the main island, on a ledge near the very top, under the gate. It was where the normal winged light is in the wind tunnel
Is it normal for it to be in the wind tunnel why wasn’t it on the ledge under the gate
So I got 3 winged lights in total

I actually noticed that the red dot persists as long as you don't unlock their entire friendship tree. Once you do, then it vanishes.

no, it might be in the best interest for your device's memory to make a habit of using browser bookmarks
