hey i hate to sound like im complaining but i wanted to ask before sending in a bug or feedback report
does anyone else have issues with / find it annoying whenever random gray kids big honk all the color butterflies and drag them away because i swear some of the big plants is just be first or wait an extra 45 seconds - 3 minutes as everyone has to get their turn for it.

It is annoying, but it's a base mechanic for butterflies to flock after honking. I don't see how this can be changed without breaking the regular butterfly mechanics as well.

In order to get an entire pot of white, you have to run them over when they respawn, since they respawn hourly. More white will also probably appear in other realms.

I have a question about how dye plants reset every hour. Say I went to sanctuary and got all the dye plants before geyser at 12:55, then I stayed and finished geyser at 13:15, has all the dye plants reseted already? Or do I have to go home and use return shrine? Or get an entirely new server?

From what i saw, you can stay and new plants will appear

And yeah, new plants appear even if you stay in the same server.

Thus technically, when you go to catch the geyser and you´re in last 20 minutes of the hour, you can get all possible dyed Darkness plants and once you´re done with the geyser, you can then re-gather those dyed plants again. :)

Does anyone have tips about getting desired colors through the dyes?
I'm looking to get a lavender/heather color, and in some lighting options it looks correct, but in others it turns pink? Is that just a thing I need to deal with?
Like I also just died the Lively Navigator cape to match the orange side, and in the workshop lighting it looks good, but in going to Prairie it's way too brightly colored

the start of seasons are usually buggy so dont be too worried about random extra candles

lighting will affect the colours, so at most you can get it in one lighting but the others itll change

Spent a good chunk of time trying to get a mint like color without it, it's really about previewing the dye combinations and perhaps noting them down

the only ones that dont change much from what ive seen is double white and double black maybe double the same colour would stick better but yea

Some cosmetics are not dyeable—for example, hair color, Season pendants, collaboration items, and so on.

That seems to be where some plants end up being: Places people don't go until now. You can't tell me that people went to the islands under the candle-cake floating island often, if at all, but I see plants grow there fairly often, so now people go there.

Something I've noticed is the inventory, as well. If you're not sure if you've collected all the dye for the day, look in your inventory, under the Spells tab. The bottles will appear muted if you've collected all of that color for the day, similar to how the Candle will turn grey when you've collected the max amount of wax.

I keep losing track of how many bottles I've collected, so that's how I keep track of what's still available to me to gather.

i feel the dye gathering process is a bit time consuming for now, consider there will be even more color later in each realm.
Would be nice if there is a multiplier for dye, same as candle, maybe not per dye boost but total, so you can choose to prioritize a certain dye for the day.

I don't personally see a point in a dye multiplyer. It's going to stick around after the season, and they (probably) won't be used for as much as candles are. When all the colors are out you can just prioritize whatever color you have inspiration for at that time.

would still be nice for getting a dye color faster i think. Since there is a limit on how much dye you can get per day i don't think it will be broken.
Of course balance and how much the multiplier reduce amount of butterfly saved to forge a dye will still need to be balanced.

Considering each different color is counted separately from each other, I feel like multipliers or the like would be really complicated, programming wise.

I'm just saying I don't see a point in getting the colors faster. In just one rotation you can get 2 red and 1 yellow pot fairly easily, and that's without thinking about the fact that as more realms open up that there'll probably be overlap between where the colors are.

Meh, I personally don't have any issues with it so far. It's enough of a grind that I feel like I've earned the materials, but not so tedious that I'm annoyed by the process. Just the opposite, I look forward to seeing how this season develops.

Especially since I'm sure they're going to make it so that the colors are regional, so like red and yellow in Prairie, Blues in Forest maybe, black and white in Valley perhaps, and so on.

I'm curious to see which colors will be associated with which regions.

The emote makes it quicker for people around you to get the dye as well. Honking drags them away for a little while.
