Their ‘fix’ for this issue was to introduce special group spirit visits, anywhere from 3-5 arrive at once. Traditionally we’ve had very little notification of when they’re going to appear, which tends to send everyone scrambling. Folks who started after performance/shattering definitely benefited from this, but it’s a been a long while since we had a group visit. It feels overdue again
It also proves to be very difficult when they visit during events that are traditionally very costly like mischief and feast. It’s one reason the ticket system was introduced

Returning spirits are even worse than traveling spirits

For a solution to be effective, it would need to sacrifice long waiting times for more choices and the impossibility to buy everything at once. The problem with returning spirits is that they are too few and far apart with no consistent schedule.

I’m doubtful that we will really see an improvement like this, the current system encourages people to buy candles which I don’t think tgc would intentionally change

There was sort of a schedule when it was first introduced but the first few very quickly burnt everyone out and it was very stressful, and after that there was a long break.
Honestly the visit I can remember that was actually the nicest was the Assembly visit; it really helped to have the spirits from one season in a group so you could choose what to prioritise.
I think it would be a viable part of the solution if there were 3-4 group visits a year and if we knew the approximate window in which they would arrive.
I don’t think it will ever be a fix in itself, only part of the solution. Others have suggested a fortnightly rotation of a single spirits items in the event hall space, but we’ve never heard back on that despite the concept being semi popular

A lot of problems could also be worked around by increasing the number of possible candles you can get per day. Previously i had suggested a solution that involved replacing the exponentially declining amount of candles per wax in a day over time with a linear increase in candles where every candle is worth the same amount of wax no matter the order. It would take the same amount of time to get to 20 candles but would also allow for something like 40 candles a day. However i now see the flaw in this being that people don’t usually like grinding constantly, and the current system allows a small amount of collection to be worth a comparatively large amount of candles. A better solution would be to keep the exponential decay system but have it slow down at a slower rate, allowing for maybe something like 30 candles in a day before going grey

the way the tournament is structured did practically everything wrong

1. teams are themed after something players feel biased/favoritism toward - the realm elders. if the themes were generic sky themes (candle, heart, handhold, follow) the emotional bias would be largely removed.
2. players are forced to join a team at random. while this is to ensure balance between team numbers, this was in every other sense a horrible idea echoing off the first problem: it kills morale to not be able to play for your favorite elder.
3. if players are unhappy with the event and wish to stay out of it, they are forced to do it or else miss one seasonal candle. i doubt it needs explanation why that's something people won't pass up, but that will also further throw fuel onto the "im having a horrible time and just want this to be over" bonfire of this event.

....but that's my assessment of the whole thing, id put a more refined version in feedback but idk if there's a point

I've just come back to this game after a few weeks. I've caught up on the Concert Guide missions. The game invites me to sit in the concert hall seat, but I see no countdown. Is there a concert in the concert hall ? Or am I waiting for some other players to decide to play for me ?

(tested with a caped player who also hasnt done the 3rd quest, its possible with someone who did the quest by forcing server merges after, thanks cat!)

UPDATE ON THIS!!!
It is possible to do it with a friend who has already done the quest! The capeless player needs to enter the memory, while the other player needs to enter the same space through the method Christian and Nigel found. Then, you can cause a server merge (by turning off and on the wifi on your device for about 10 seconds), and you will merge! The non-capeless player will not see the memories, but they will still be able to hold the capeless player’s hand and help them out!
When I did this with Skye, I was split from them a lot, so repeated server merges were needed. But otherwise it worked like a charm!

This has happened a few times now and I'm disappointed. I am doing a tournament race, in first the whole time, and then everyone else drops out and it gives me silver. Like is this how blue is staying on top? Because I was in first the whole time, but got silver. I'm on orange team. Kind of fed up with the exploits and low quality of this tournament.

If you start a race with over 3 people, then you finish with everyone else quitting, the game will count as if they're still there, meaning you get 1st place - 3/3 points for your team. Maybe a silver medal, but that's irrelevant

That's the Kizuna Ai cape, the player cancelled their team cape spell before the race began.

Mellow musician was already too expensive. If you get 15 candles per day, every day for two weeks you get 210 candles. So it already cost more than most people can feasably get between two ts.

For some reason, every time there´s a black shard in Daylight Prairie, there´s also the Peaks shard happening at the very same time.

Thus technically Eden bombards Daylight Prairie twice as much when it comes to black shards.
