you'll find it's the set of islands furthest from the entry to the area. there will be the days of nature spirits there, so if you see them you're in the right place. on that same island will be a light creature with darkness on it to burn. do that and it'll trigger the event for the whirlpool

there is a boat right next to the vortex, on is it a spirit from abyss and there is a meditation circle. (tho i think you need to free the manatee on the turtle island first)

go to the largest rear Island behind the main isle in sanctuary (the one with a big boulder). the event guides will be wandering around there. go to the left end, where there is a seal trapped under a darkness plant. burn that darkness plant away, and the seal will lead you out to the vortex

once you reach the vortex, go to the anxious angler in the boat where there will be a meditation circle to sit in and activate the event

Additionally, if the creature is near the "throwing you" animation, even deep calls won't save you at this point as its system is already locked on throwing you.

This could have happened if you initially approached it near its river where it lurks, then flew up to the shore, leading to the attack there. The creature can attack above water depending of the target's location/if its target is within range, but it doesn't go to the opposite land, so that area is safe.

its a seasonal heart, it allows season pass holders to get ultimate season rewards

you can obtain them by fully completing a seasonal spirit tree (its at the very top, for 3 season candles)

Apologies for the late reply! This is the Prairie Peaks in the Daylight Prairie Realm. You can teleport there via the Days of Nature guide at home or through the Aviary shop. There's a meditation circle that allows you to teleport to this main event area.
