I don't think any time in sky can be considered as a general "break" since it depends on the individual player. for instance, a "break" between seasons like we have now might be someone's time to grind even more to catch up on candles before an event etc. however, this time between seasons is just more forgiving on your wallet if you do decide to play less than before - considering you don't necessarily have to miss out on limited time currency and items.

imo a repeat season could be a way to earn massive conversion if you're already done, which might even motivate ppl to play more. people can take breaks during a normal "new" season as well if they don't like it. thus, I personally think my answer would be a no to your question - even if I may take a break during it myself
