Please read again the whole discussion. We were talking about in game currency: ascended candles which cannot be bought as candle packs. Nobody talked about IAP. How on earth irl happenings could affect igc?
To sum up: ascended candle prices are TGC decisions and there were no sense making them so high with this (already confusing) shard frequency
