I think moderation and community management can easily feel like it overlaps, but the moderator team here doesn’t have control over the server changes, there are tgc staff who run that side of things. We can leave our feedback in #contact-mods though and the mod team will pass them along to the relevant tgc staffs for us

from experience in an very popular art server with forums, they are so annoying oh my god they're so laggy, and reset every time there's activity in one so it's pushed up so it's constantly changing the order of the published forums
the idea is fun, it could in theory make it easier to find the fanarts but it is so individualistic you have to scroll the general forum>go in one>check the art>go back to general forum and its way more clicks than just a channel media tab
not to mention sometimes the tags lag for me depending on how much avtivity and quantity of forums there is, making me have to reset discord app

As stated in #news by raccoon, the channels are being currently rearranged, and there is a slight delay in figuring out some technical details that introduced complications. We know it looks as if these have suddenly been removed from the server; they have not, and the plan is not to remove these from the server. The CMs will share more information once they can, and are actively working on addressing these concerns.

In the meantime, it is OK to be concerned, confused, or even frustrated. However, messages that are threatening or direct insults at other people will be deleted.

the issue with the forums, aside from the art channels being removed suddenly ofc, is that theres less room for discussion 🥹🥹 if we wanted to scroll art we could do it easily on any social media, discord’s forums are laggy and convulated and in this context turn a more conversational setting into nothing but posts, which isnt what everyone whos more comfortable here rather than on socmed would want

I'm assuming the benefit is that it accommodates the frequently submitted feedback to allow artists to have discussions there. If you recall, the cooldowns in those channels were really restrictive, and didn't allow for a lot of conversations. The forum format allows for this, but at the cost of artwork not being properly browse-able

We're going to give archive access to the channels that were removed. (they are not deleted) This will give everyone access to view these channels.
We will soon introduce a new section that should allow y'all to discuss art and exchange with other creators.
We're still looking at your feedback and trying to address as much as we can.

I know this is weird and not fun, please bear with us as we're building things back up.

Is there no upper limit on how much light you can get from Player Challenges? Obviously you can't get light for the same challenge more than once per day, but players could just flood an area with lots of challenges and you could use this as an alternative to candle runs, it feels like. ^^;
