(by all means, these are MY opinions on how outfits are composed. you are not obligated to follow any of this)

for me, i like to know my cosmetics' limitations. since the dyes have inconsistent areas that can be affected, it's important to take into consideration what colors stay from the original piece and what portions don't.
secondly, i like to set up a focal point, where i would like people to notice first (in this case, the serow mask, the best mask) kidding aside, it should be priority that every color that is customized should give way to this focal points (feel free to have multiple, but i personally do one). for example, image 1 shows a darker blue accent than image 2 - this is so that the mask's colors are not only complimented into the outfit, but is also treated as an accent: not something of much interest. compare this to image 2 where the accent is light - i like to say that it adds a second focal point: it breaks up the otherwise dark outfit and it emphasizes the bright blue on the mask. i'm not going to say that image 1 is better than image 2 - they are both right in their own way, it's just a matter of preferences.

speaking of blue! colors
the outfit has a majority color of green with blue and black accents (and beige/yellow. cant control that one) all of these work together as they are relatively in the same portion of the color wheel (i refuse to get into color theory here. look it up yourself.) and from the value of these colors, black is fitting to add (and then for white, it is just to break up the dark and add some interest - its the smallest color on the fit for that reason).
basically what i'm saying: decide what should be your primary colors, secondary colors, and tertiary colors, then adjust them accordingly to your tastes until the colors are righteously harmonious.
also as a bonus! i added the radiance earring as a highlight to my skykid's hair, to further break up the white. i think its neat :]

I recently met the sweetest moth. Offered them help in Forest and didn’t think they would stay for long since I was on my capeless.

But they understood that everything would take a little longer (not being able to fly), understood I wasn’t collecting the wl so they ran a bit before we got to one to collect it and always emoted a heart to thank me

They were pretty scared to enter wasteland but took it as champ when I was running right behind the krills and laughed when I waved them goodbye.
