When it took too long to get help through the 8-person door, I found another way through. Here is me standing on the closed door. It is this way I found that the candles don't appear until the door is opened. I suppose that's a way to discourage people doing exactly what I just did, and to encourage people to work together. Brilliant!

On the topic of color switches, Idle color in Festival Tech is a feature I discovered in December 2023, though it might have existed before that! Here’s the guide of a pretty much useless feature I did an investigation on when I was bored, enjoy

What does and doesn’t count to switch colors?

• Basically, you start idling when you haven’t moved for a while, full color transition takes around 25 seconds. Each cape has a set “regular” and “idle” color.

Here are some specifics though
Does not stop idling:

• Tapping screen (not on any buttons or to move)
• Doing emotes from regular emote menu (excluding sitting)
• Pulling out red candle from emote menu
• Holding out prop like camera (will not stop the idling color from happening if you hold it for a long time without doing anything )
• using spells
• Opening settings, shop, checking dailies and candles bar
  Will stop idling when
• moving, walking around/ or even just a twitch to turn around, flying etc
• Takes ingame photo or video
• Honking / switching call
• Switching stance
• sitting/laying down from emote menu
• Auto sitting/laying down from being afk for 2min/10min
• Opening chat

Even If a friend joins you while you have been afk for a while, the idling color changing process will still take time to shift (instead of already being the changed color)
*Same with if you get split for a second from server issue
