Hi guys! I need some feedback on a piece im working on. I had this idea of like dark kitchen room with light from fridge. I'm not that good with picking colors so I tried creating art with basic ones and then applying dark filter. After that I applied like a light layer. I been working on it for a while now so i need some side view. Does it look weird and have you done anything similar? I would love some suggestion on how do deal with it

doesn't look weird to me, lights in the fridge can be lighter tho

the highlights on neuro and evil's face are lighter than the colors in the fridge

I like these hard shadow shading style paintings, they really show the details of the models in scene

yeah, I didn't think of changing intensity of light on different parts yet! Whole thing has same intensity and insides of fridge is grey while their skin is close to white, i suppose that's the thing causing highlights to be brighter

I will experiment some more with intensity

heh this piece truly embraces cat face thing with anime style... I like it... I think it looks fine... it's also fine to take some creative license with lighting as it can look better... like a lot of well done art just has implied mystery light sources from "off-screen"
