depending of style just set brush soft for example if it's soft leather... it really comes down to experimenting and thanks to things like layers it's convenient... assuming it's digital art of course... if leather is less rough from surface and kind of hard then more hard shading makes sense to indicate it instead

I recommend doing maybe some finetuning of the phoneme timings and potentially tiny adjustments to the pitch curve if this is the approximate feel you're going for with the tuning

I guess since we're doing vocal synth here now, how's this?

It depends what style you're going for
I obviously can't show confidential NeuroSynth screenshots but for me as a rule, big peaks at starts of some notes that transition the vowel in, sometimes undershoot that big spike when coming down and go a little under before returning

Of course this isn't an exact science so it ends up just being a bunch of random stuff going all at once

Depending on the SV version you're using (with 2 it's impossible to have true flat notes) you can't actually reproduce the tuning I use

I've had a little bit more time to add some refinement to the tutel shell. More importantly, there's also been a bunch of refactoring to get the UVs, bone hierarchy, and pivot points closer to what the game expects so the animations work (esp the face and leg structures). Can't really see that in the image though. I've also added a a tail. Textures are just placeholders. I'm not looking forward to texturing that hex pattern on the shell...

Nice, I hadn't seen that. Right now I'm just using it as a means to learn the tools, but I'd be happy to contribute to a pack if I get it to a useful point (much like I did with the old Neuro Truck Sim streams).

The animations I'm using as a starting point come from the pig mob because it was a quadruped. I want to change some and add others (spinning on his back, etc.) I'm not really an animator, but I can fumble my way around. I've already experimented with tweaking the existing laydown animation (where the pig belly flops before sleeping) to make the Tutel withdraw into his shell a bit in the process.

I used to think artists were insane for spending hours and hours on a single drawing but now I get it cause I touch a pencil and paper and boom there goes 2 hours. Don't even need any background noise, no music, no nothing.

It's really really good so I can't really see anything that could be suggested but if I had to suggest something it would be a different font for the logo, one that may stand a little less out as text and more as a decoration if you get what I mean

Try soaking the colored pencils in water for a bit, I think I heard it helps

Coloring mixing has a whole ruleset with it, do a small mistake and it will throw everything off

failures are a part of drawing. they're learning experiences I would say, they will help alot if you can learn and improve upon such failures. nice art

its good! but i can barely see the mask, maybe make it cover an entire half of the face and change its colour to like red or black (something that matches the colour palette)
