Windows has the feature disabled by default, but you can activate it by opening "Turn Windows Features on or off" and then clicking the checkbox besides Windows Sandbox, it's pretty useful

the problem was that I needed spikes to change in 2 cases and one of them was working fine but another just didn't. And the thing is idk why, cuz I checked multiple times and the function was called properly, it just, didn't do anything when was called from different place for some reason

I had a function that was changing spike state every time player moved between tiles or hit a training dummy. It worked perfectly on player movement, but hitting dummy resulted in nothing.

Even though Dev.Log() inside was working in both cases

rip, at the very least it could be transition on the animator not going through due to a parameter on it not being updated correctly. Bools and triggers change on update usually break stuff on it.

I had like public event in script for player movement and another in script for dummy, script for spikes had listenes for both of them that would invoke private function to change the state. Yeah it's unity

honestly I try to discourage people from doing things in update as much as possible, even with a good understanding of ECS, the update function is still very flimsy
