@hoary flint there are so many downvotes against this, simply because players arent understanding the issue. Can you still pass on to devs, because it is a huge issue. Tying the skills (part of skill) to all 3 hero-types.

This is the problem here. People do not understand feedbacks which are technical in nature. As soon as the we got to know about hero-style, one of our RLs messaged me that, crap, how am I gonna use G2 vehicles now.

At the same time, I had posed in alliance DC about this problem.

So, it feels like there are two different set of PM/Designers working on this and they dont understand how people play (by mixing up best heroes from two generations). And they dont understand how whales play (by having maxed out Heroes in First marches). This mechanic of tying is agianst both type of players

Here's a tempest skill, which gives extra when the tempest is put on a Berserk style hero.

Second is the vehicle skill, extra of which requires all heroes to be of Control style.

Both have downside, but vehicle one downright bad.

The skills when using tempest essence or tempest reforge should be specific to the hero type. Right now it is too broad having all of the skills on RNG for ALL the different types of heroes.

Example: Infantry using a tempest essence or reforge essence should only give us the good stuff a infantry hero would require example rejuvenation/salvation etc

Small state group whale might not notice from not having enough competition, most will see this once enough competition forces you to test.

Hi Shirosei, the idle rewards are based on RNG so it is not impossible that you repeatedly get the same idle reward.

So, you have to understand something here. Which might be unique to our bracket of stats and hero-gen we are in.

G7 - Control
G8 - Resillience
G9 - Berserk
G10 - Inf (Control), Hnt (Resillinece), Rid (Berserk)

At this stage, Hero's troop stats count, so whales are going to have all 3 heroes from same gen. Which wont be compatible with Vehicle skill part.

For others there are two options:
Inf (G09), Hnt (G10), Rid (G10) [Considering the hero skills] - vehicle skill part wont work

Inf (G09), Hnt (G09), Rid (G10) [Keeping all of same style, berserk] - there are no Berserk G2 vehicles available

This whole "style" hero addition was totally unnecessary. It was better and simpler without it. On paper it all sounds nice how certain heroes counter eachother and so you can potentially win a fight even when you are weaker but there is "small" problem- attacking side is often the only side that can choose what style they use. When defending there is so little time to react and switch heroes that it is rarely possible.

When your state gets gen 7, it is recommended to get all 3 gen 7 heroes because limitless heroes are much more powerful than non-limitless.

Mainly on account of the actual community itself but the issues we encountered are still there in beta. The lag, latency, phased event deployments, slow server starts, politics, etc.
In some ways, the player community is more toxic openly because it's still in beta and they don't think they're being monitored.

In terms of the DC partnership, I haven't downloaded that because I just can't. But reviews on that experience are also mixed. And yes, the spending is happening.

People in the title I'm playing already have a chunk of change in the beta alone. They keep asking about new servers, and frankly, don't understand how early access and beta test cycles run

There's a number of fantastic people I've met, but there are an equivalent number of social problems already, and adding to the issues of an Early Access title... It's vitriolic

And not because of the exponential lag and server instability. But because of the politics.

I've since left the first guild I was in, and they dislike me immensely lol the guild Cerb and I are in now is ... It needs work. We do have another former title player with us so he's also aware of the general development cycle - it's just adapting it to that specific universe that's difficult.
But a number of things we asked for here are there in different ways.

For example, there's a version of our Chapter missions, and instead of only having a single character able to move to preselected spaces, we can freely move our team around similar to Behemoth Trials. It makes tanking easier

But that lags horribly if you're in too long.

Ultimately, I'm playing SoS because I like the people. I'm playing the other one because I said I would.

Note how I never once mentioned a game by name outside of SoS. Very mindful. Very demure. Very server rules.

Unfortunately, the way a lot of games are developed lately, there is little space for actual creative development, intuitive mechanics and interface, and fair monetization. You normally see those in smaller indie titles that aren't made to turn a buck.
For the larger and more popular or accessible titles, it's microtransactions, AI generated artwork, and the same focus on keeping players clicking in the game instead of actually engaged in the game.

Console titles even do it to a degree, but it's slightly modified. Just look at the recent update from Blizzard. They charge how much for a third of the content that was supposed to be promised, and just said "okay, well, here you go."

A lot of people seem to forget that corporate interests are always profit based, not customer based. Many different industries have R&D departments that study trends, how to get people interested, how to keep them spending and engaged. Look at Apple, with the various things they sold that were basically necessary for their devices, just because they could. They knew people need things, so they said "well, you can only use this thing for that thing so pay us more for it"

Meanwhile dodging taxation all to keep the money they hustled.

When I worked for Kirby selling vacuums, I did it door to door. So I outright looked people in the face and talked them into a high cost vacuum with various attachments they didn't actually need and then sold them on a payment plan with a 21% interest rate, because "why pay for it now when you can defer"?

And as we also learned from the CEO of Kroger, corporate greed really does drive inflation, as well. So while these companies and entities are researching how to get and keep us hooked on their latest thing, they're also contributing to driving costs higher as well in other areas.
And they take this info and run with it.

That there is why I never trust sellers recommendations in shops and always try to do my own research whenever buying some "expensive" appliance. If you know nothing you might get good person who is simply trying to help or someone who will just sell you whatever is lying on the shelf the longest just to clear the stock.

Your metadata.

Your data is so valuable, and it's bought and sold and traded daily between the apps you use, the websites you visit, and yes, even the games you play

While these games do have data policies, we can see that anytime we go to watch a video from a content creator, it's logged and then we get ads for similar things. Everytime we go to the social media page, we see more in our targeted feeds. And so on.

If my husband looks something up, his data registers it. My device, being in range of his, is also then "pinged", and then I'm receiving ads based on what he looked at, because that's how advertising works in the digital age.

Even with location services off.

What's really messed up, is that even the DMV in my state sells data. Anytime I renew a license or registration, I begin to get phone calls and emails about my car and warranties and such. Because my state department of motor vehicles sells data to third parties. And they admit it.

Can't really run from it unless you would decide to totally scrape technology and live like a bushmen in the middle of the forest with no phone. It's just how it works now, we can kinda decide to not use internet for example but it is interwined in way too many spheres of life and work to be realistic option for 99% population. I am using specially made "spam" facebook, email accounts for gaming, blocking what I can in internet traffic on my router as bare minimum of protection. It is by no means perfect, I would call it bare minimum everyone should be doing nowadays

Use keyword searches in different channels, check out the old reddit forum and the commentary on social media. Talk to old veterans and listen.

And also, manage your expectations.

Especially, check the feedback.

Chances are, if you're unhappy with something, someone else is too. And scores of others before that as well. Look at how it was referenced, things which were requested, and consider how it affects your gaming experience now.

Hi Rick, sorry for taking up more of your time here, as you already seem pretty dissatisfied, but I was curious if your unhappiness with Apex was regarding the results of having a higher battle power than an opponent and experiencing a loss, or whether it was regarding the unclear metrics used to determine "strength" in that event?
I ask because battle power is not a metric of strength, rather it's a variable representation of your overall growth as a player, not just from your buildings and upgrades but also your amount of troops and even quality (and spending) of other features upgrades. People with a ton of troops can read as a higher BP and have poor upgrades, just as easily as a lower BP player can have less troops and more meaningful upgrades to contribute to their actual battle ability.
So I'm curious what your experience has been like, what fixes you would prefer, and - aside from making you want to quit - how Apex Arena has affected your overall desire to engage in other events which provide better rewards more consistently.
I'm unable to compete in AA due to not being Top 200 in my state, and reading reviews and feedback from players just like you expressing their frustrations with the event makes me wish it was just gone in general.

So we've noticed that since the Intel help function (finishing intel tasks for others) was introduced, the number of batteries for trap per day declined, because you don't have the chance to getting batteries from a Intel task if it was completed by some other player.
In the end it means less alliance currencies per day for single players and the whole alliance.
Was it by chance compensated by other means that we don't know of yet?

Pretty sure it was a bug or a nerf going wrong. Maybe they had a digit shift behind the comma so that odds got even worse than they are already.
They're not that good with numbers in general. I remember fondly a season of a pass where for one task you had to gather 50M resources, but they made it 50 instead. So with one click the season was finished.

After the update, the tactic to reset after two hours of only bios also works again as it should.

My best is when they were doing a event and the reward was 4000 purple search maps instead of 4000 bio.
Was early game so 4000 search maps was a big game changer. People sat up all night maxing their maddies while us who didnt had the maps removed in the morning. One night say they arent that particular about balance

So, if my 100,000 troops finished training hours before I want to claim them, I'm at risk currently and could lose out on those points 🤷
Therefore, no spend money on pearls to buy that item.

Also, there's tons of other bugs that have existed since day 1 of me playing G the game that has yet to be fixed.

Like the obsessive compulsive heroes that love to use skills in explore mode when they serve no purpose 🤷 ie, Trish healing.... Duncan smashing (especially when it's in the direction away from zombies 🤣)

Or how some heroes like lucky, or ash, don't place the landmine/teddy bear, but takes the stamina from your bar like it placed it, because the hero was using a different (uncontrollable) skill at the same time. This happens to a lot of heroes. Not just specifically those 2.

So next time same thing happened, which it did. players activated it. But it didn't matter they took those away too. But what they didn't do, was take away the crate from the backpack that gave the hq skin, so, all in all, I got screwed both times 🤣

Very early on in the game, you could join an alliance. Claim all the throwdown alliance rewards, and leave, join alliance, claim rewards, leave.
Some people gained so much from this, they won the very next super permanent hq skin (pink crazy carnival skin) and used 100% bugged earned items.

They never did take items away from those players.

Some may remember this. Some may not. But it happened.

It sounds nice in theory, how we can have skills that complement our hero skills or ones that counter enemy skills. But then there is this small, tiny little problem- to get few good sets of tempest arms with different skills you would need tens if not hundreds of thousands of $$ just on that one thing alone....

There was another title I played which had a character you had to move in a side scroll race to collect different things on an obstacle course. If Yamazaki can make an eagle a behemoth companion, he can make a unicorn somehow and the devs love of mini games could have this silly thing
