And isn't that just it, really. The devs put all these people in these circumstances. I don't expect anyone to just hand off buildings to little guys just because, but it's extra chill when a huge alliance will take the initiative to say "hey, this is a really bad set of circumstances and there's no reason we can't give some folks a fighting chance."

And you're right, there's no reason the littler guys can't also reach out, as well. Some of my oldest friends in this game are whales and krakens, and they're the nicest people you could meet.

I was sad to see AD go. Each week, I would always reach out to the other alliance and discuss a no-settlement attack truce. Every time it was accepted, whether we were the top alliance or not.

The amount of people who "punch down" is a lot lower than people believe, but it does and can happen. People won't know unless they reach out and test the waters.

If the devs won't pull this cardboard cutout of an event, then... Then it falls on us to manage it ourselves. If they won't help us, we'll help ourselves. Some of us will help ourselves right out of the game.

Because regulation and oversight for gaming, in particular the mobile gaming industry, is woefully behind. That includes for things like game advertising. Additionally, if you're relying on app stores to crack down on developers running false ads, consider the amount of mobile games constantly coming out.

Here in the US, the FTC can do something, but another ad would pop up right after. Even then, it's a slap on the wrist, essentially.

It doesn't hurt the company to pull one ad when, depending on the time of year, they might have five or six others ready or already in rotation evading notice.

It's entirely geared toward what would get people to spend, what would prioritize the whales, how to help shift slightly lower metrics higher, and then they talk about player retention overall, but it's all with the goal of profit

Even if you start talking about serious issues affecting people, it will inevitably come back to spending and money

The concern then is the tactics to pull in that other market. Simply put, we require more of a game than people who are willing to spend just to spend. They're fine with $7200 special operatives and whatever this new tower costs.
Those spenders are only at risk when their investments are, as when things like Nexus don't work or when wall heroes disappear.

For the lower demographics, we actually require things to function decently, and we require more quid-pro-quo - in other words, more bang for our buck. We want events to have halfway decent rewards and to actually get a return on the investment, which means we are more expensive to care for.

Why prioritize us when there's a whole market of people - albeit the smallest percentile in this game - who are willing to spend the most amount of money for the least amount of work?

That isn't to say the spenders don't want a fully functional game, but how many of them are actually logging in for every single thing anymore, as opposed to more competitive events or state weeks?
Spenders aren't incentivized to actually spend time in the game outside of events and whatever they choose to do. Some take the time to be in game and do stuff, which means they are experiencing a lot of what the rest of us are. For the ones who only do events, however, they're not as affected if something like ally Intel ports us outside of the map.

And the devs are fine with this type of secularism, in terms of how each demographic of player interacts or engages. They still get paid regardless. In fact they get paid in spite of it, because while a majority of players make it a point to work together and cross demographics (like whales working with f2p), others actively do the opposite, which promotes further competition and spending.

For as bad as we say our devs are, they hit the jackpot here.

Now think of it this way: knowing all of that, I still want my dev chat.

I don't know if it's a bug so I'm posting here!

normally in events like RR, DD, MM or others, during a fierce fight you lose your troops (sometimes all of them if you suffer multiple attacks on your colony when you are in a building 😅) but you will recover them after each fight !

For Nexus this does not seem to be the case... I'll provide you with a screenshot to explain the problem!

Right now I'm out of the competition until the end of Nexus and I can no longer help my team! is this a bug?
a desire of the developers? (if this is the case achieving the MIGO objectives are now impossible and the money spent thrown in the trash!

I would say, try to avoid getting too much troops in hospital during the fight in Nexus? Problem is, some whales attacks settlement can cause too much damaged for smaller players. Can we suggest a number of times they can attack each settlement like how they set 5 times in AD?

Why does it not surprise me, that we have those sneaking out the woodwork complaining about attacks. I predicted this would happen and people would be asking for limited hits and auto bubble and attacks below only a certain level. Just take the hit, and if you can't play it strategically play safe. Unfortunately everyone wants to be spoon fed these days, it's like they've never played an actual game before. There are other changes that can be made, it just needs a different perspective but don't jump in with the "Oh woe is me, I need the game to protect me"

In my opinion complaining about burning is futile. It can be done in all events, and it's a big part of the game. I would say it's more of a balancing issue. The power gap between a whale and average free to player is way past the point when a whale will burn an average player in one hit, and the power difference is only growing with every new feature

80% of the current events are just time-wasting events, but they don't give any useful rewards.. and new ones are slowly coming every week, 6 hours of clicking a day is not even enough to complete the daily tasks.. the whole madness is getting very frustrating and tiring, why do you have to run 30-40 events at the same time, 2 of which are useful, and half of them are so buggy that they are unplayable?

Day 4: Level 2 Checkpoint (Level 2 checkpoint gives access to area where Level 7 cities are)
Day 5: Level 7 City (plus villages)
Day 6: Nexus

• Four alliances will be able to fight for Nexus, but based on the map it appears only 3 can.
• If you lose a Checkpoint, you lose access to areas connected to that checkpoint, even if your buildings are controlled in that area.

Theoretically, I think, today's CP2 opponent should not be able to relocate into your C5 territory yesterday as they had not captured the connection (CP2).... Buuut that's really just theoretically. Practically you're only safe in safe zone.

I have a player that came to us from a different alliance, and he’s running into a technical problem, which could theory be solved if he could get into an out of Nexus, but he’s getting an error message telling him that he’s already started the event in a different alliance. Any suggestions?

I start the client, close an advertisement, then in the game I close 3 more package offers, then when I want to play, I click anywhere in the entire game environment and they want to sell packages. Where is the game? Make an application in which you can buy packages, leave this as something similar to a game, if you can even call this bunch of bugs a game. 😄

For a while after P13 dropped this was viable but I have yet to see one in the last 6 months or so

Side note: My alliance went against 1 maxed player for the level 5 city. My alliance has quite a few strong players but nobody quite as strong as a maxed player. It took 3 rallies the take the building back, timed perfectly and only one for them to take it back from us. The devs are very lazy and should be (in all events) looking at more than just power for matchmaking... I mean you all created this crap, vet the matching appropriately or at least be honest about and say, "yes, we seed the stronger alliance in some events and the rest we simply just don't care".

If the 2 alliances are even in that situation the attacker always wins. If you're weaker you have almost no time to organise an attack.

Why are we even still doing Nexus? It's garbage. Matching is bad, the event is buggy as hell. Nexus also has forced smaller alliance to be unable to access mines, which prevents them from getting resources for the Migo events, and slows their growth compared to a larger alliance.
And decent sized alliances stand no chance if they don't at least have a whale or two to control buildings.

I didn't get hit....we hit a bigger player to get some kind of points for the smaller team mates...once you take there checkpoint most were locked in there area one was left in ours which is not ideal when this event points are massive on hitting people....you can't just play buildings and expect to rank ok
