1: The Orokin hate AI and avoided robots
2: The Orokin used people as materials for almost everything, from Cephalons and Yuvans to Warframes and Clone soldiers
3: The mechs appear to have a sarcophagus in their center and we know the Orokin used servants even after their death, like Loid.
4: they have basic intelligence which means they have to have a mind of some sort

It just makes more sense to me that they'd be piloted by deceased people

and erra helps when you get on main ship but dies basically after

ballas rob 3rd archon shard and regain control over her since she only 2/3

you survive lotus attack and things happen then she get incapacitated

then you beat up ballas and wall man shows up

and then you get to choose between natah lotus and margulis' personality to lead lotus
lore-wise she makes the choice but gameplay wise you do

Following that train of thought, it took me 38 hours on a new account with no taxi, no trading, free to play, and playing missions normal pace... In order to get to New War.

Pretty good time duration for the core game. People who like grinding can extend it literally up to 100x but yeah...

The "road to new war" update changes did their job.

i struggled the most with being teshin and having to match the elements to kill the sentients, and then the doors you had to unlock by throwing his thing at them to destoy them, didnt relise you could throw it at them to break them thought you had to actually run up to them and use the fire ability to break them, took alot longer than it needed to with the ones being in the air

In all seriousness, I wanna know what you guys think about the lore behind the “switching” between operator and drifter we can do post-TNW. In TNW, it shows the man in the wall grasping our hand and…. sorting through (?) multiple reality versions of us. (They all show pain like they’re dying? Maybe he collapsed those realities?) They all fall, and then only the operator and the drifter are left.
Now we can switch between them, and sometimes in missions (if you listen closely) there is even quiet whistling. Are we a dual being? Drifter/operator combined? Able to call forth whomever best suits our needs? Did the drifter get sent back to Duviri, and when we “switch,” we’re just calling them here? Where do we go? Why do we never see them both in the same room? 🤔
Ik some of this will probably be answered in the Duviri update, but if there’s already an accepted answer, I’d love to know! I’m a lore-a-holic.

Basically realities are not created by choices. That doesn't make any sense. A random humans consciousness shouldn't have godly levels of power to create infinite universes.

All the realities just exist. They're sitting there. There's no time or anything. Just a hypercube of 5 dimensions.

The consciousness of a person takes the cross section of that hypercube (one timeline) and then sections that again (one instant in time in one timeline) and then simply moves from past to future.

So every choice they make isn't creating a reality... the person, on their way from past to future, are simply hopping to the reality they choose. Aka they get "assigned" to one reality.

But why would a continuous world be restricted to what someone would or could choose? If there are two extremes, two binary choices, then what about the hyperspace literally in between those two realities? Is it empty?

What if it's not empty? What if there's just a bunch of hyperspace that represents choices that nobody made or could make? I'd call that the set of misfit realities that were never chosen.

Erra prologue shows how Erra should have died in the old war but is somehow still alive. Something is also wrong with Natah since she's half convinced that she's in the Old War.

Then in Maker you find out how Natah is being manipulated to start the attack. She's not really believing anything Erra says, so he gives up and throws her into the furnace of the mothership so that the War can start. Yeah... I don't know if forcing players to start from scratch is the solution. Even if it's unique to Duviri and we get everything back in the Starchart, it's just the same loop but all over again.

I think a different (ideally skill-based) progression system would be great, but you need to be real careful not to invalidate the things we spent literal years building up.

steve called the drifter a 'power curve reset' so i'm hoping for a world and a set of missions that use them, maybe with rebalanced weapons and limited modding

God I hope Op/Drifter weapons are expanded. I know they can't outshine frames and their guns, but something to help them scale past Starchart (Madurai doesn't count, them's cheating).

I don't dislike the drifter (in fact i prefer it) but the fact that the cosmetics from operator doesn't convert to drifter is a bit annoying

they've said they're working on it, trying to find a way to procedurally scale everything so the art team doesn't have to rescale and rerig a dozen suits again when they have other stuff to make

What I'm really hoping for is parkour 1.5 on the drifters since that wall run animation keeps sneaking back in, but that one proooobably isn't realistic

I'd like wall-running to be the sprint action while wall-hopping; Dr/Op could wall-latch using Void Mode as a substitute, maybe pull over the vaulting and so on - and have a way to toggle between Kits and Void abilities (i.e: ult (4) being exactly this, leaving 3 for Transcendence).

Plus it'd give Dr/Op access to kits and a secondary layer of progression/convenience/tools (which could expend Void energy to create/conjure/use as to imply that they're Void-based recreations and not the originals) which can be modded or adjusted for a wide range of applications.

Only thing I'd then want to add would be the ability to equip most one-handed lightweight melees (i.e: daggers, single swords, nikanas, glaives), sidearms (mostly one-handeds if they have a certain level of kickback) or select primaries.

There'd be restraints for what a Dr/Op could carry; the bigger/heavier it is (i.e: Galatine P, Trumna, Sphelcrum), the slower they would go, the slower it'd reload, and the slower the melee would swing.

Plus swinging the melee weapon and running would start to drain a small amount of Void energy just so they can cope with it as a drawback.

The ideal outcome here would be to allow Operators to emulate Dark Sector gameplay - having a sidearm and glaive, swapping to Amp as their actual 'secondary'.

Supporting logic for these additions would be related to Dr/Op survivability, New War teasing this functionality, and build diversity expansion.

I'm not too fond of that as it can and has resulted in people getting stuck in their frames when their frames are locked down via something or other.

Would be nice if there was a backup attack option when the frame's unavailable.

Do you think we wil get some outfits for our Drifter that looks like broken warframe suit on him. Similar vibe like what we have with grineer outfit for him. Imagine having something like that. Like they are all alone in that paradox universe where warframes doesn’t work in there and in order to be protected they are using there body armor. Its little dark but cool in a way

That specifically is not gonna happen (for Operators at minimum) because the point of them is having Void Sling for traversal, same as why they won't have any weapons other than amps
