sentinels are sentient companions
I am pretty sure ||Amar|| skin would sell buckets
It’s really nice to finally be able to talk to Lyon. So if we got to talk to him today, assuming we get to kim chat with him tomorrow?
That's what I said yeah
I’d buy it immediately
What is this supposed to mean?
Lets wait for KIM to update and will most likely be so
bug
Lyon's KIM account was banned after he said the V word (Vo*d-lugger) to Lotus
he learns fast. didn't you see the Marie chat?
anyway joking aside.
How do the devil's triade use KIM
wally whispering a slur in lyon's ear for no discernable reason:
because they aren't in the past. they are in the present right?
they use the sanctum computer
I imagine Loid giving them the PC in the lab for their turn
I guess time is just really broken RN
Its an hilarious image in my head at least
that's exactly what it is
Loid even looms over roathe while he's typing
Imagine the data logisitics of talking to the devil's traide though
Yeah he does say something like that xD
Marie sends a message. It's sent into the past to the KIM servers. the KIM servers then sends the message back to the present
Now I wonder if they have talked with the Cavia too...
i've heard that roathe likes bird 3
Roathe and Bird 3 get along IIRC
Roathe being a literal devil on Tagfer's shoulder...
and tagfer and marie fought
i don't think it'd be that surprising if albrecht brought a KIM server to the present at some point
i have no evidence for this but i can't imagine it'd be difficult for him
Albrecht got sick of yelling across the room for Loid.
probably not
Made Loid sign up for KIM chat
yeah I didn't get that convo
or perhaps you did and just went down a different path then I
I swear with KIM chat even saying "I like pineapple" is going to completely shift how the person talks to you
i got that option but did not select it
she told me he has issues instead /s
-# Marie: It is simply that he does not know you. Lyon is not... sociable at the best of times. It is not meant to offend you.
-# Drifter: Is there anything you can do?
-# Marie: Lyon has... much loudness within his own mind. He takes great care with whom he shares it.
Yeah i didnt answer that myself, she said something more balanced
my first time through KIM I completely avoided the Hexipedia storyline
nope
do you have the all chats setting on?
there's branches between conversations, I went along a whole different branch than you
I am kinda noticing that Marie only speaks formal if you speak formal with which she still likes though?
Cause that informal tone from informal answer as well as the flirting dialog (info from friend) as well as her French tirades are...
I. had it on
why did it turn off
one of the first thing I told Marie was that I wanted to smooch Roathe
is that a "why did i do that?" or a "want to know why I did that"
dammit DE why didn't you notify people like me
oh wait I think i misread?
it turned off by itself
Every copy of KIM is personalized.....
this is very annoying
Yeah i meant the flirting with Marie lol
hhhhh do I reset it now
might've reset w/ the triad for some reason?
i had mine off for a bit and remembered to turn it on
probably best to do it now given the changes to memory reset
tru
i mean, you would've missed, what? one or two convos?
one or two possibly important convos
fair point, i suppose
Friendly. talked to Marie every day since release. This is my collection of chats
use this to determine what you want to do
yeah that sucks
i am really curious to see if the devil's triade make mention of memory erasing
We konw it's canon for the Hex/Roundtable. but it surely can't be canon for the devil's triade right
||one does, very obviously. dunno about the other two||
whomst
I dont have that talking skull one? XD
its canon lol
It was just Marie and Drifter talking about Necraloid. It was either a hard read or I was just tired/high so I don't remember much of it
anyone who resets the triad will discover very quickly what happens when you reset the memories of protoframes who arent in a timeloop
🤔
because everyone else in the area isnt reset
I guess Scrap is gonna know
Idk but is that info obtained from datamine or Kim sim spoilers?
kimulacrum
combined with the whole. mind-delving thing that we're doing with roathe,,,
uh oh 😨
lemme guess. Marie reveals that she is not actually a nun or from france but instead is just a really dedicated cosplayer from Cetus
definitely
... its spoiler chat
Its gonna have spoilers
Tbf i saw Roathe today on an idle chat shouting ||"this future is so disappointing"|| so...
this is still recent content, though.
stuff we can't get yet legitimately
My guy. You. Yes. Read the rules. Info from the game. Not from datamines or file reads.
Id expect to spoil the message, but honestly its still gonna be here
I mean TBH?
Ew lmfao do not talk to me like that.
Ask any writer to write you a story about the future and it's almost always better in some way. some aspect of life is easier
Warframe future/present? Probably a downgrade for someone who was a higher up Orokin
IIRC anything considered high tech is orokin
Yeah it could be whatever still. Apparently the date of XX99 slipped on the website but they removed it. (Not telling which)
it's right but such a poor way to convey the info
was the whole 1899 thing a theory then? People were talking about it like it was a fact
all rev players are lazy as hell cuz wdym you havent casted a single ability for that long
Idk. I heard people mentioning stuff like that. Maybe its made up even.
it was a fact due to accidentally showing up in an image pre-release
For context, zenuriks tauron strikes give team mates 4 pages each time you use it
Its like there was some mention about why Roathe was there. And today Marie told me her version and is kinda... different
Rev was the first one to die to 😭
and then roathe had a line about the 19th century which apparently has since been removed
well yea, one of them was conscious and it sure wasnt the blue one
dear fellow tenno,
i am suffering as a result of the consequences of my own folly. i took divine annihilation from lyon thinking it would be funny, and it has been my worst nightmare instead
legacyte keeps dying permanently
(fwiw ive already checked the forums and it has been discussed thoroughly, so im sure DE knows lol)
Tbf playing Rev does make me slip sometimes. I get too relaxed, I trip a nullifier. Blam.
this is like one of the first few things roathe tells you, that he arrived barely conscious no?
it has led to an interesting discovery though. i proc'd it with pure crit melee that i build specifically to try to avoid anything that could be considered ranged damage for it? and it still proc'd. melee is ranged confirmed
Yeah what I mean is the website apparently also had info about why Roathe was there.
Roathe's story CAN align. Marie's is a bit more idk, not That?
Roathe is there because Albrecht subscribes to the "science isn't about why, it's about why not." philosphy
Definitely lol even now
roathe is there because albrecht thought it would be funny (it is)
what you mean the coup thing?
Albrecht is developing his sense of humor, like the Indifference is becoming more powerful xd
"And then I drugged him and kidnapped him to the far future. anyway, that's how I lost my orokin license"
First his "not my type" line now this
so am I the only one who kept thinking Lyon was an Inaros protoframe
idk he just seem so...pharro-y
I am starting to believe Herzog is definitely going to play Albrecht with that sense of dry humor
"That's almost funny!" - Joyeuse
It would have been funny but nah that incense flail gave it way too away
Where the 1899 stuff came from
Oh I saw a different pic myself xD
Gaulle is confirmed
Yeah that is
1899 doesn't have any reference it seems
But a potential chat with Roathe has him namedrop Gaulle
He did in my chat with him tonight when he talked about thunderstorms and actually getting experience a natural one
Gaulle is just a distorted name from "galo" (at least in Spain idk french) so thats the France region there. So not quite strange having Cathedrale and French nun (still would have been fun if Canada lol)
Got that yup
Lyon is also French. Also I think Gaul is an old foreign name for France?
Which made me lowkey started crushing on him???? Cuz I calm down through thunderstorms or rain. Like they calm me down. The way he explained it…the power he felt. I feel that as well. It’s a power that can even calm one’s nerves. Even at the risk of death…watching that lightning. Feeling the thunder. Man I felt that chat lol
100%, his chats are so revealing of his character
Maybe I just read/watched Asterix back then and thats how I learned as a kid the "galo" term haha
Lmao that's where I got "Gaul" from too
Its like how I can somehow understand Marie cause Catalonian and French are a bit similar
I have to read the text/subtitles though otherwise its gibberish >_<u
Its why I could sincerely answer her how... creative she was tonight lol
hey spoiler chat who should i date next
Amir, Arthur, Elenore, or Lettie
amir
he's gonna try to kiss me so fast he headbuts me
what happens if a defense target is in range of nidri's vortex? is that even really worth consideration?
Im actually so upset over Nihil being retconned as unrelated to the 7
Did they deadass count wrong 😭
not unrelated, per se
still an executioner fairly close to them, just not an executor
either the one writing the KIM chats got it wrong, or the seven weren't fully nailed down yet
The 7 not being nailed down this late is horrific 😭
I suspect Nihil may be rewritten as an Archimedian. The whole glassing people thing seems more like Archimedian territory than Executor anyway.
... Archimedians are scholars
Why would someone who is executing people, be a scholar?
Also, orokins can't be Archimedians, it seems. Not named ones at least.
eh
why go into heavy detail about the guys that aren't really going to show up
..except when they do, because you go back to the time when they're all alive and important
was Eularia not an archimedean? i thought she was
Not by title i don't think. Might be thinking of Daughter who was to be one, but got refused on a technicality
Because the Seven are literally the ruling class of the Empire the current day Origin system is still paying for the sins of. I think knowing what they did adds depth to the world
Well, besides the Emperors. But there's literally no lore on them sooo
mm. possibly
i don't pay attention to the exact castes much lol
Outside of being mean to the grineer apparently, Avantus did nothing outside regular orokin shit
Which.. is honestly normal orokin shit
I might be somehow thinking that Nihil invented/discovered glassing, but I could be wrong on that.
its his Cephalon Project so
Hey I really don't think a K drive race is the best idea right now
For some reason i thought this was a mirelurk from fallout 4
what if it was
mirelurk queen is the narmer orb
Norb
norb
Hallo
How I Made Uriel Go At Mach 5 #warframe #warframememes #uriel #theoldpiece #speed #tennocreate
67711
My Lotus kinda homeless
okay managed to find a soundtrack version of Uriel's intro so I can properly hear some of the lyrics now
starts out with
"Laudamus, artemus, a Deus"
Couldn't find a version that included the riff + chant between the intro and main song, so I made my own.
Game: Warframe (The Old Peace)
To clarify, Roses from the Abyss is released in the OST, but it begins right at the drop at 0:52. There's been a couple videos putting the intro (the music before that point) together with it, but all the one...
is he just gonna be like this forever
Well he will likely be part of Tau 2026
but for now Pazuul has overtaken Erra yeah
Shower thought:
what if the forlorn shore is on tau and where we get a story about hydroid 👀
"the forlorn shore" is Tau
Fek back to shower again
forlorn effectively means lost/transient
so the song sounds like something the Sentients had during their long trip to Tau
I was thinking literally
Okay that... Makes sense
nah in this case it's more like they're "sailing" to discover this new land
... Can i cope and add my hydroid theory on that one?
its not like he has any other lore
All he really has is his Prime trailer yeah
I want to see a ship that is not tempestarii and hydroid going full pirate mode
they should add an honoria for every warframe
well aside from how non-canon most Deluxes are, Sevagoth Deluxe's description mentions Hydroid's Deluxe
yeah, those two are canon to each other
i think yareli pandea is one of the only deluxes that is Just Canon. its mentioned in reaper's lament
Honoria for every prime in your collection sounds like a good idea to me
not opposed to it
might get cluttered though
So . . . How many of you spare daklo ?
i did
I did
Even thought he hate the sentient he genuinely shocked when the whole thing happened
I am actually surprised
yea. seemed more misguided than actually hateful to me
yeah I don't think being a bit racist is enough to warrant a death sentence
we'd have like 4 living characters left if so
My lyric breakdown if you'd like
Cast and cry, cast and cry / Raise the million pylons high / All our kin were bound to fly / For that far shore forlorn
Seems straightforward, almost like setting up an actual boat to go to Tau-- that far shore forlorn. Neat imagery and it highlights how the Sentients were workers, carpenters, farmers, etc.
Onward hie, onward hie / Who but we may tame the sky / Who but we shall distant die / On that far shore forlorn
Setting up the Sentients believe Tau is their right, which is fair since they were made for that purpose ("Bound to fly")
Velvet blue the meadows lie / Though the haughty ones defy / Gold shall never break our tie / To that far shore forlorn
First mentioning how beautiful Tau is, of course, then setting up how the haughty Orokin are trying to claim it for themselves but Tau firmly is tied to the Sentients
Mouth to mouth and eye to eye / Sleep where comets whisper by / Sleep while constellations sigh / Of that far shore forlorn
The TennoCon preview ending with like, an Astrolabe or something that was shifting. Sleep sounds like it could be a reference to the Dreams and accessing memories. Eleanor had that dialogue about how different the stars looked between 1999 and the Origin system. My guess is we're going to try and find Tau by remembering what the stars looked like back then and cross-referencing it with current star maps.
This was pre-update so there's theorycrafting
imo its funny that ||the tennocon preview ended with The Actual End Of The Quest||
Oh there's also a verse not in the original track, from the Tau2026 teaser of a flower sprouting from Adis' mask
When your spring of hope runs dry, dream of me, and hear my cry, seek to meet me by and by, on that far shore forlorn
playing the quests after their tennocon previews are always funny cause the second you get past the preview's end you get instantly hit with 15 left turns and 20 broken expectations
yupp
tho i was immediately ruined by the "stealth" section that looked far easier when i was not the one playing it
i could probably do it without issue on a replay but the first go was weird
oh yeah I failed that multiple times
i did it just fine
Old Peace was great. Every moment after the demo's end was a pure surprise and pure joy
even before the demo end there were differences too (which is often the case for all quests but still)
The way it ends is great too. I just assumed I was done ||after fighting Adis|| and that beautiful bit of the Operator ||walking through the terraformed, dying Tau|| was how they'd end off. ||AND THEN THERE WAS MORE||.
I'm sooooo glad I've got the Raven voice, her acting is my favorite of the clips I've heard. Especially ||Rap, tap, tap! You'll let me in, little piggy!||
i gotta say when operator told the grinner soldier to not take adis to the acadamy
it really felt like "i like you, dont come to school tommorrow"
I hope we get more of Valdur
It is the "canon" voice so
He seems chill all things considered
Obviously no clue where he'd be placed
Maybe he has lines during the Operation?
I hope so
still annoying how the good Ascension voicelines are all tied to the Operation
no reason for regular Ascension to not have Ordis and Parvos arguing
the parvos-ordis banter,, agh
you could argue that parvos isn't personally invested when its just the vestigial motes
but what the hell else is he doing
There's not even many lines that makes things specific to the operation, is there? The motes they refer to could easily just be the vestigial instead of volatile
yeah
and regardless it's not like Jade Eximi are being held to their only actually canon source
when they also exist for Grineer, Infested, Murmur, Scaldra and Techrot
even tho in-universe only Corpus should realistically have the tech
grineer and infested can make sense (sold to grineer, subsumed by infestation)
murmur, ehh
scaldra and techrot, what?
i feel like its more so the cinematic canon tenno
while in game there isnt really a canon tenno
its not too uncommon to do that sort of thing
the weirdest bit is it isn't a technical issue or anything, because the old peace doesn't have them !
iirc the orokin made the jade-light, so its probable that defectors wouldnt have access to the golden lords stuff
The actual origins of the Jade Light is unknown. My personal theory is that Jade was an Archimedean who discovered/invented it
fair but the orokin did use it for executions
making her embody her own discovery is very orokin
yea i'll accept that into my headcanon
it also works with how her and Sorren's relationship was forbidden, because it would be crossing castes
Also I just realized, a common thing people wanted was for the Tauron academy to be a "Tau Dormizone/Base of Operations" thing
||Probably hard for that now...|| and I could see the camp that ||Operator and Adis are shown making, those brief little flashes,|| being one, depending on the size. I hope we get more looks at that.
Maybe we squat in what remains of Tauron as our base in Tau 2026
I'd kill for a sentient themed base of operations 🤤
i wonder if we'll get an operator only base
Considering going to Tau would just be regular travel, "both" Operator and Drifter would be going there
it'd be fair at this point, there's two drifter-exclusive ones
even though i don't think the dormizone is intended to be that way
Operator can go to Dormizone
can they? last i checked they couldn't
was around operation eight claw
I hope with Tau we get incarnons or something like them for the old sentient weapons
War especially
They can
It's so damn cool but it doesn't really do anything fancy
Sentient weapons would just disintegrate if you tried installing an Incarnon adapter on them
even having Incarnons on Infested weapons is already a stretch
I mean amps are made out of sentient parts because they transmit void really well
I mean i kinda think that wouldn't be good for the quest.
And Caliban just like exists
Cuz you wouldn't have a satisfying ending.
Amalgam
But true yeah
actually do we have any actual hard confirmation that amps are made from sentient bits?
if anything, maybe something like a sentient adversary
Yes
which is
their visuals and some of the Ostron scan codex entries
which ostron codexes
visuals alone aint mean diddily
if there aint anything to back em up
How tf did I get pinged for this
i seem to be stuck as drifter regardless, though the equipment/focus/appearance menu has the camera at operator height
no swap button either
Oh nevermind discord is schizophrenic
discord just does this rn apparently
weird reply shenanigans
Going there in Captura with Operator active, at least used to, do this
Forcing the Drifter into the Operator's "skeleton" or whatever the animation term is called
skeleton or rig would be correct, yea
weird little creature
oh yeah fun fact you can sneak the operator into the XX99 area
if you switch to operator, then go to the dark refractory area the quick menu lets you tp straight in
you cant talk to anyone if your in operator tho, frame is fine
||Its very small||
||could include the area outside it||
drifter's camp-style
Oh, is it something accessible in a tile?
Ahhh time to grind
Not with a Cephalon's help. When Hunhow took over Suda the Sentients became Void-immune.
more like just void shielded
and that was at cost to suda
was effectively using Suda and the Weave as shielding yeah
so who are you going to burn to use a funky gun
The only way to truly remove their Void weakness is via Amalgamation
and the only proper Amalgam weapons we have are Komorex and Cyanex (ig you could argue Battacor and Ocucor too)
Which we last saw in Old Peace with Caliban Prime, with the whole mystery of its control seemingly via Ascaris.
Imagine if we get a Kubrow skin based on Amar
And in the prime vanguard dialogue they mention the operators “stuck in those frames” and how we should feel guilty about dealing with them. It gets dark quickly.
Does this week's descendia give less maphica per run?
im gonna buy roathe proto only to make duviri go to hell with that gemini emote }:D
amazing
marie when baguette
as hellish as i imagined
Wow thanks man, and sorry for the late reply lmao
Holy moly thats a good interpretation
I should mention that "Raise the million pylons high" is quite literal
the Solar Rail to Tau was constructed using millions of sentient bodies, acting as pylons
hey I got one of these moments of meme laying down on bed and brain asking a weird question and getting awake:
what if... Daklo is Alad V?
I know, it sounds incredibly stupid, I know but hear me out:
Parvos told Ordis he could restore him to become back Ordan
Alad V knows somehow what we did on Tau. So either direct info somehow or he was there, somehow too.
Alad does not know what we did on Tau
he knows we killed the orokin
and nothing more
no no, he says that when we approached sentients we...
he also explicitly doesn't know the difference between warframe and tenno until its revealed in TSD
wiped out an entire civilization and that he knows we dont remember that
I wanted to write it to not break telephone had to search it
yes, and we didn't wipe out the sentients
we wiped out the orokin
sigh I guess, its just Alad V is such a roach that I imagined that haha
- We don’t know if Parvos’ claim is true
- If it is it may be recent tech
- I don’t believe he meant bring him back to a human body, but rather bring Ordan back from years of precepts burying him (and Ordis’ self fragmentation)
The theory would hold more water if Salad was a cepahlon already tbh
Yeah its most likely not possible. The only glassed beings coming back weren't turned into cephalon either right? The whole Nihil fight has people glassed but thats not the whole of it so I suppose even if Ordan is there turning him back and giving a recipient might not be viable...
Heh now I am somehow imagining Parvos being sort of like the Metal Gear Patriots and not having an actual corporeal body and thats how he actually survived in the Void. I really need to sleep xD
mua hahahahahaha
I got the chat that gets funnier as time passes
the tumblr post chat is on my kim now :>
Viktor watching as the Hex, a terrorist group known for having 6 members, suddenly has 60+:
"SATAN? YOU MEAN THEY HAVE SATAN NOW???"
oh snap, drifter uses k drive
Another point to "Drifter uses basically everything the operator have in 1999"

Drifter better than me, I would rather bullet jump than ever touch a k drive around hollvania's narrow streets
Canonical Drifter using the K-Drive when we're not allowed to
Drifter forgetting how to hold a sword the second they exit duviri
Canon drifter uses necramech and archwing too when we're not allowed to 😔
In their defense, void powers and instant wf access makes that obsolete
oh my god bruh, he tried eating bbq techrot
💀 💀 💀
cursed ass decision making
both options lmfao
This is also part of a party storyline where apparently lots of people in the hex got drunk lmao
amir apparently made his specialty for calming him down which screws up quincy's lol
Drifter acting disgusted as if they don't know the taste of every single faction due to eating them with Grendal lmao
mmmbmhmmh yummy effervon
even in the end of the world, people want their treats
The fun part about that is that drifter canonically have grendel lol
And every options mentioned there
Technically this probably means canon operator have them too, I think
now im reminded of all the memes about TOP contrasting how drifter is basically getting more maidens™ and fun while operator is reliving the horrors™
The concept of drifter playing with canon operator's toys and gear in 1999 for fun is making me chuckle
TOP chat
Wait what
third option making me feeling like stalker in TNW
Roathe kim ||mentions kuva yuvan theater, what's that exactly? I know what kuva does for orokin immortality, but what's yuvan theater supposed to be again?||
yuvan theater was where the young yuvan were paraded around to the withering, dying orokin. they were selecting their next bodies to continuity into.
Roathe KIM ||Damm roathe was moving different, reverse engineering a helminth with practically nothing 💀also poor bastard has to live without electricity ||
What do I say here cause I'm tempted for the first
Also I guess ||the helminth is basically our "common" means of time travel™ now||
Kaya's gonna like hearing this lol
the first results with ||her getting flustered but redirecting back to the question||
also damm lyon's been dead silent and stone cold
yep
yea he's like that
it's the autism
Gonna be freaking weird when I'm polyamorous with the two most religious characters in the game.
It feels really weird that there's no consequences whatsoever to dating a hex member and a triad member when all of the hex are seemingly monogamous.
i [ranted about this in lore chat](#lore-discussion message) a while ago
yeah
yea there's consent convos with each
Like, if this weren't a game I dont think I'd be ok with it
I haven't seen any of them cause I've yet to date anyone so
You're extremely far from alone in that
Wait what? Like you can talk to Lettie about dating one of the triad?!
yes
mhm. and she says that she's okay with it.
for some reason.
not considering that a spoiler as it was directly mentioned in patch notes
Well the fact that they actually acknowledge it makes it even scarier.
Now I want them to interact. XD
Added due to intense backlash to DE saying "it's not cheating bc it's time travel"
rightful backlash as far as i'm concerned
It's kinda goofy that they made characters this compelling and then didn't expect us to take them that seriously 😆
Live by the PTSD riddled waifu/husbando, die by the PTSD riddled waifu/husbando
And not just the hex, but the Drifter as well.
I'm invested in the Drifter I'm RPing, and her relationship with Lettie dang it!
I dont like killing spiders, but in Drifter will squish as many as Lettie needs her to.
Lettie's spiders are metaphorical

I am saying that Drifter is extremely determined to help Lettie deal with her mental health issues by metaphorically squishing metaphorical spiders even though I personally dont like hurting irl spiders irl.
That... makes little sense
it makes perfect sense
Anyway, treaty never stood a chance even if we didn't know the future. What I'm really curious about is how it came to be in the first place.
sentients got individuality because of the xenoflora and didn't want to fight
it's literally the exact same metaphor that Lettie herself uses, how does it make no sense
Xenoflora grant sentience to Lesser Sentients, enabling negotiation and eventually a truce
(hence why the xenoflora all dying sets them off again)
You only need violence from one side.
I just realised in Simulacrum Uriel's pets take up 3 enemy slots
How does not liking killing spiders relate to fixing someone's depression
Because Lettie likens her depression to metaphorical "spiders" in her mind that she has to crush even tho they scare her
That's the entire point of this conversation
You even stated it
You're missing the point a bit
sure, but a treaty was called anyway, either for actual peace or for some kind of information or tactical gain. depends on which of the Seven you ask
it's like "I usually hate killing spiders, but these ones I will gladly crush"
They're not literal spiders so the feeling about killing literal spiders shouldn't matter
Right, I'm curious how it happened, considering the Orokin would never have accepted a treaty where they didn't get to enslave or destroy the Sentients.
yeah, it's a wordplay. It's not meant to be literal
Not very good wordplay
the sentients were seemingly still under the orokin
Archimedean Itzam, Adis having to prove something about learning the tenno ways, the grineer guarding the academy
the orokin were also losing the war for a significant portion of it
Jebys creebus dude.
It's like someone going "I'm gluten intolerant, but I'd eat those buns" to flirt with their partner
it's the most basic of things
Right but we know that at this point they had the Tenno, so it's not clear they were still losing.
Are you a LUA MALE? (rarer than SIGMA?)
@zenith jacinth Do you have a grudge against me or are you like this with everyone?
Guys. Did yall felt the Operator was somewhat taller in the quest
I'm just extremely autistic about some stuff
Ok
a consequence of the rework more than the quest i believe
This question is hilarious to me because of the framing of an objectively measurable trait as a matter of like... vibes. 😆

Personally I didn't notice though. Although the operator has seemingly gotten slightly older since The Second Dream.
Possibility?
the VA change definitely contributes to that
Right
Wait VAs changed?
Also the older model changes
With New War
Yes, a bit after TNW or Duviri all Operator voicelines got re-voiced by the Drifter VAs, since the old Operator VAs are no longer at DE afaik.
Didnt knew. I started on December 2021 so i probably never got to notice
Oh dang
I dont think "My Warframe is strong." Changed though did it?
Not sure
Man, I need to listen to heron more and see if I like it now.
aren't a bunch of the old operator lines still around, though?
Didn't they just make the pitch of the Voice louder not a VA change?
Nope, full re-voicing of all the quest voicelines
I'm pretty sure. If they did just change the pitch they did an extremely good job at matching it
Did all VA’s leave or just female VA?
All of them
I swear I didn't even notice a change lol
Nor did I
Must mean they're good at their job ig
Wait, I thonk i meant Falcon... all these birds... ugh, poor Sheldon...
I noticed immediately. I was like "Who is that voice?!" When operator first spoke in The New War.
Do we know yet if you choose to romance one of the Triad if you can also discuss this with your Hex partner? I know it's a different timeline and all, but like...same Drifter. It doesn't feel very cool of them ngl.
you get consent convos on both sides, yes
I want to flirt with Roathe already but evil DE is not letting me yet >:(
You gotta build up your relationship more
Like real people lol
Djekeke I was so tempted to tell Marie my drifter had the hots for Roathe but I actually wanna be able to talk to Lyon sometime soon lmao
Lyon is really shy about letting us buy some rocks huh 😭
FR like he's hoarding scraps from us lol
What
This was confirmed weeks before release, yes
The fast-travel wheel lists Lyon as "Buy furnishings" (aka. Decorations)
Yeah
Very excited to see his offerings
Honestly that one scene where you instakill that cephalon for being racist towards the sentients makes me think of the tf2 comics
assuming people killed Daklo
People did. I personally didnt, but you can find a lot of it on youtube
Assuming destroying his proxy body did anything (it likely wouldn’t)
true
I destroyed the body anyway, he was a bigot
Also i can def see him being deleted or heavily altered afterwards by the Orokin
oh yeah 100%
Yeah i regret letting him go, but im not gonna repeat the quest to kill him. Cuts into my ballhairs killing time
And yes, im referring to ballas here, just to clear it up
Some call him Ballass. We’d understand
Balls
We don’t like Ballas. Nitokh sounds scary, but we never see her.
I just don't think him being slightly racist to the race that tried to eradicate humanity and would do so again if they lose their special flower fumes is enough to warrant a death sentence, especially considering the comments made by some other NPCs
We don’t like any Orokin till proven not as terrible
He's rude and close-minded, yeah, but he doesn't seem to fundamentally be a bad person so to speak
I don’t think it’s really about if it was deserved, it makes sense the operator can do that considering their mental state
||their best friend just died, they want revenge and are being egged on by Wally, they get back to the school and the guy who openly called their friend slurs is there||
It makes sense
||Considering Roathe’s words about her, yeah||
He was probably programmed to be a racist, and blindly support the Orokin.
And in the end he didn't.
oh yeah killing him is fitting don't get me wrong, I'm just saying I don't think it's the "right" choice per se
Girly said she wanted to kill everyone when taking a bath one day she's so based
That is true yeah
It’s a cathartic choice in some ways
Especially if you go the route where you call him a bigot
Yeah both are valid options
and even tho he says it in a way that is a racist comment about Sentients, he does seem to genuinely care for us earlier in the quest
like given time and better circumstances I could see him changing his views
It also feels like it’s in a different way to say, the Anarchs
And not being in the empire
"better circumstances"
Oh
Yeah
Lol
So, anyways, I started blasting—
Operator Grineer-racism redemption arc now that they remember Valdur
Calls Ordis out when he degrades them

Kahl:
We degrade them-
Arguably even more than ordis does
Local racist blue girl meets the strongest, most attractive Grineer of today and instantly forgets a lifetime of indoctrination ❤️
Modern Grineer=sorry mass produced army
Orokin era Grineer= peak grown army
true love beats racism/classism
Yeah
Daklo
"Analyzing the intelligence profiles of the Grineer: ERROR - Not a Number. Did the Operator enjoy this witticism?"
I don't remember regor showing up in veilbreaker
("newly" added voiceline btw)
His death makes him unqualified of "today"
wow this week of descendia SP is actually kinda tough
Maybe they secretly buffed it after noticing how easy it was at launch
It was buggy for me
I liked seeing that transference pod, sad there wasn’t a line on it though
Can't wait to cheese it with Mesa
Someone screamed in chat when we faced against the ||cephalites||

personally had to go atlas to mash my forehead into it
||where were the cephalites?||
||I don't remember the stage but it was an alchemy||
||floor 9 ||
WAIT THE GLASS MAKER ENEMIES?
I have PTSD with them
I remember trying to grind fish in plains of eidolon and every 0.3 seconds stupid glass Grineer spawned on top of me
😭
Hold up, detecting glass resonance. It's close...
BAHAHAHAHHA LYON HATES ONLYNE
scan seekers, who am i missing?
Volt
The rest might be eximus variants of the gladius capsarii and trapper
Nah, I definitely see volt in the far right of the middle row.
I hate the fact there's not a 3rd choice. I just wanna say that ||Ballas was just a jealous individual, nothing surprising||. But the choices here are ||"He's always been a repugnant, he can't be forgiven"|| or ||"I understand him"||. Which one should I choose?
Think it's Eximus variants of units?
ah, i should have sorted by name, yeah, it's eximus
Full list is this
Btw, I feel like galastra is basically female vor
Am I the only one who's thinking that?
Better argument
Vor is a male Galastra
Male*
Galastra had that pre-order bonus premium ascaris while Vor got his from Alibaba
But they have way too much on common, from their speech about how they view their lives to end, to the use of the ascaris, to the way their words attempt to worm into the tenno's minds
Galastra was doing Warframe stealing before Vor was created
Actually does Galastra have a listed rank?
none that we know of iirc
why are the vanguard bigger than us? gameplay reason or glastra modification?
Probably gameplay
I don't need to see them I just press a button and death happens
Question. Is Margulis's scarred hair supposed to be colorable?
I can... I suppose make her a singed look but her hair and suit share the same channels.
If only we had not forgotten the Conclave 😔
Another point to HATE the glassmaker
Assume she holds the same rank as Varlach.
I assumed Nihil had a hand in Cephalons cause you know. We got Frakta and the Cephalon Boolean sugatra from that nightwave line.
Called the Indifference
Also it when the operator listens to it and tries to skin Ballas alive

...he did
The Indifference isn't about making you feel nothing, it's about making you feel that nothing matters
"There is no difference between right and wrong"
No no I mean the thing that is the indifference isn't that indifferent
He is
It's happy when it wins and angry when it loses
He is very engaged and not indifferent to the world
The Indifference is pretty indifferent with the exception of two people
Albrecht and the Tenno
You can be indifferent to most things and still care about other things
One it HATES and the other it gave its power to willingly moreso out of a curiosity
Wally is indifferent to most things
Indifference isn't being emotionless as many interpret it as
Wally is the incarnation of dudebro philosophy
"You're a loser for caring"
All the way down to flipping out when you call them out on it
Ok I have an ephainy on one thing from the new quest:
The Tau Flowers are Space Opium
Turns out good sentients are just under the influence
btw this means the Old War's actual name is the Third Opium War 🤑
Also another thing
Can someone tell 0phichous I'm sorry to his Excalibur prime
Uhh my best friend uhh
Crushed it
fascinated by ||"even performed non-destructively" here. is that implying making a cephalon out of someone doesn't need to involve killing them, or is it more a case of "done properly, a cephalon can retain the memories it had from life instead of having them wiped"||
Werner Herzog likes us
Could be a cortana situation
Put him an archwing for punishment
Right that's what I mean, we know Cephalons can be made non-lethally because Necraloid is exactly that
I would guess albrecht made a loid clone and glassed the clone
We can now go to the pool room from the quest
also I just noticed that the seam between where the sanctum is and where the void is, moved?
The fact she one-upped Vor is quite something.
1st 1999 loop which is being covered by the Drifter
2nd we are going to tau, but the murmur are on the lab
So my question is what is going ti happen with wally?
XX99 also
and I have a feeling Wally has something when he tried to get a murmur to connect with lotus
and interupting memory recalling with an murmur spawn
I love the quests and lore
and turning off the Air Bud Statue aka the Translator Gargoyle
But i have no idea what will the end game be. I csnt even theorize
til then
we have fun in the descendia
and recall stuff in a non-canon fashion for the tau resources
Like [YOUR WARFRAME] Vs Adis
or What-if you brought your own Warframe instead of borrowing 0phichous's Excalibur Prime
and genocide against archarhy to somehow get tau mods/arcanes and somehow time travel to the present
Ive been nekros fsrming the shi put of this
Also if I have one nit-pick
Uriel is being built, now i go for the weapon
Why is the Prime vanguard got bigger?
Then i return to decendia for the arcaned
like I get Grendel but
To make it stand out
What did she do to the prime vanguard by feeding them something
like some mutated Nokko Prime shroom
Like imagine of it were the same size with everyone shooting at it
So you know they are the Vanguard and not a squadmade
Friendly fire lol nobody knows were is it
Makes sense
Also, perita soundttack SLAPS
now I want a peculiar mod that increases my warframe size to Vanguard size
Just ask your Warframe to grow
So what are your theories?
nah I'll wait til Nokko gets an augument to be able to grow huge instead of turn to mini
Why does wally want with the 1999 loop? Why did Albrecht left for Tau?
and I am DEFINENTLY betting there is a Nintendo Swith Exclusive skin with motifs of Super Mario Brothers
in the far future
the next onyx skin or soemthing
onyx nokko skin
Wally didn't care about the loop he just wanted Albrecht
Albeecht's plans in 1999 were finished and Wally found him why would he stay in 1999?
He wants the Albrecht
Then, lorewise, why is the Drifter staying in 1999? He is a permanent part of the loop so it doesnt break?
First time they've truly had a place to call home
Yeah but albrecht fled when the nuke went off and shot us. We rewrote the events and albrecht was no where to be found. The undifference tho, it wanted to kill the hex
Was that personal or what?
Ok thats a solid one
makes sense
Now why ws the indifference so centered on killing the hex?
The dirfter is there to guard it too. Not only to live
Thats what i get
Albrecht's “toys” are his plaything
considering Drifter's "Home" was either an abandoned colony ship, a Timeloop tale with a Mad King with a Schduled execution at 3 pm (In Earth Time), and a temporary camp but turned home for Khal
Yeah I think 1999 makes a good home in comparison to other hell-options
But he was centered on stopping us. The drifter said it himself
Yup
What am i.MISSING
also the Liset here and there.
Probably to crash along with Operator
The only things Wally cares about are Albrecht and his things and the deal
What does Albrecht want with Tau? Is it out of the Indifference's reach?
Find out in Tau 2026
could drifter leave hollvania ? yeah, scaldra have it all locked down, but can't drifter + hex just break out ? (imagine the reactor and all that is not a problem)
I gotta love how rebecca storytelling is way better and simpler
Yes, they say as much on KIM
and the Relay's Homes are unfortunetly all sold to victims of war or reserved for interrogation by some multi-personality sentient
Like it is still comolex lore, but the quests are way better told. The old peace is my favorite so far
I mean, they have to protect people
now I wonder how livable is Warframe's universe compared to other sci-fi universes?
as in Livable as a Neutral faction without fear of capture or indefentine servitude
And repeat and repeat. They will break out but will return to where they were in jan 1st
I mean, cetus is pretty chill
i remember someone in here saying that there are lots, lots of free factions and settlements like that, we just don't see them because if we did, we'd put them in danger
Drifter has a whole Operation where they left Hollvania and then there's the Kaya stuff
Fortuna seems like a great llace after we liberated it
and the poor meteor colony that got uhh
Silently captured before we arrived
I really do hooe the hex makes a return as supporting charavters and arent left behind like Umbra
They mean leave like, go somewhere else in 1999
just in case, i don't mean leaving hollvania as in time travelling out of there. more like traveling to USL or similar
They did my boy so dirty
also this new quest gave a trade-off in powerscaling feats
Yea yea i gotchu
Wdym?
Operator can die if crushed in warframe
but has infinite revives due to Adis
Tauron strikes are crazy
Maybe adis could like... neutralize. Operstors dying isnt a strangeness. The comafeered primes are stolen
also the Adis tried to use revive but instead of holding X while I am bleeding out
he gave me a Revive Screen
Sure would just need to jump the walls which shouldn't be too hard
lastly the Uriel can fly from the ground to space in moments
it's understandable why orokin are terrified of him
Uriel giving Titania a fly for her money
Uriel is approaching at your home in NOW.
uriel must have single handedly earned us the "void demon" nickname
I loved the old peace ending, i felt like anakin killing younglings
Not as fast but sure as heck more controllable
Uriel is at your door
Uriel is already inside of your home
Uriel has entered your home
Uriel is at your bedroom door
Uriel says: rap tap tap little piggy
Uriel is behind you
Uriel has committed Arson
Ngl we all know ballas wore his brown pants that day
and off-screen Uriel killed it with a unknown pistol secondary
They wanted us, to posses us or corrupt us
What actually gives Uriel the energy to fly cuz I swear sometimes he’ll fly and other times he just bullet flings himself
rage ? operator did sound a bit mad during that last segment
He was like hyped uo by wally
Wally was like that friend who is sowing chaos: "he said your mom is a %[@[@"
Wally was one happy devil during that scene
Ngl uriel gives the whole devil thing meaning
And kinds hate margulis for her part in everything
bro said
Operator snapped due to literattly getting baited by a classic case of False Flag operation
and inadvently killed his best friend
and his best friend's friend
and the world seed kaboom and possibly getting blamed for it
This boss fight is gonna be awesome
We don't even know if Margulis knew tbh
and now we know why we are banned from getting Excal prime canonically
even founders
She dodged all the questions
i don't think she knew, one of the kids made her blind and still she tried to protect and guide them. even in present day she's dodgy but trying to do good imo
I think she knew, she says: you already know the answer
And she send the ooerator to sleep next because she knew she was in danger
Thank god i chose lotus sfter new war
Margulis being love my sentient 4ss
present day? she died years ago
my presumption is that post-old-peace we got banned from getting excal prime, lato prime and skana prime as some form of sanction
and only the OG Prime Vanguard members got the remaining copies
AKA Founders
I think they are destroyed. A giant cryshed it
I'm surprised we didn't get more people asking why we don't get to keep the frame
Ordis noted the founder (if you were a founder) that presumed they were the original vanguard
In other words, my guess is
Founders are Canon in warframe
and Prime Vanguard posterchild
Its to make the founders soecial they are who made the game
I wonder how many founders are even left
The 1 thung i dont lkke is how presumptiously there are a lot of tenno, but we are the only main one? Like what?
and the copies and BPs were fully destroyed of Excalibur Prime, Skana Prime and Lato Prime hence why they were unobtainable
Only thing left was a uriel main bp since loid managed to retrive it in the memory
Wouldnt make sense bc why didnt loid retrieve the excal pr8me bp from our memories like he did with uriel?
Wait i didnt read the 2nd one
Exactly the point u made lol
my only theory why all of the founder bps were destoryed
Ballas probably did it as some sort of punishment as a way to blame us for starting the war
Think Old Peace is why Ballas decided to call us Demons?
and got a bit bitter from the carrige incident
*Devils
Same but different
yes but Devils is the word he uses
"TRADE OFFER: I get Uriel. You get Death."
and a great deal of it
Its a decent number
I usually see a few in the DC chat
In-game, I think you need roll in the air.
Personally, I think the ability should just replace bullet-jumping with flight.
I also think Oraxia's grapple should have replaced bullet-jumping with the grapple.
Both of these maneuvers feel like they want to be used instead of a bullet jump.
A spoilery build/how does the ability work question about the new Tauron Strikes:
For the people who also saw big sword and chose Vexoric Naramon Tauron Strike, how does the sword strike hitbox work? Is it like a diagonal strike or just a big box that hurts everything in front of the player?
I think it's as lur.
Old Peace gave us more evidence but the Tenno were not treated well at all
Ballas hated the tenno especially because Margulis liked the tenno more then him
he calls us devil because we are, to him, evil and using our deal with the Orokin (be a weapon in exchange for continuing to live) to our advantage vs the Orokin's advantage
It doesn't just hit what's specifically right in front of you it hits surrounding enemies
ohh so like at minimum like 240 degrees in front of you and abit around? cool cool
Like a this?
Kinda, yeah
AH icic, tysm Tenno!

great for combo generation too
Oh yeah I saw from the upgrades further down the tree, the Vergil summon swords really help build combo fast. Look cool as well
Dunno if this should go in here but GODS Rose from the Abyss, specifically the Descendia/Quest ver., might be my favorite song from Warframe over the past few updates.
which is saying something with all the excellent 1999 and Jade Light bangers we got
Corpus had a sea shanty, Infested had a boy band, what are Sentients gonna get with Tau
Hunhow beatbox 🔥
Adis doesnt count not an adversary smh
I meant, techincally it is the Lullaby.
I doubt we'll get anything closer to a song-theme for the Sentients.
Yeah because of a few reasons...
And ballas got an anthem
😔
oh thanks for reminding me Narmer is a faction that exists
I need more Narmer content.
Not anymore hahahaha
Give me more Pazuul.
I need to kill more of them
GTA6 before Pazuul or 3rd orb mother do anything
Narmer Railjack.
Doesnt
Pleaseeeeeee DE, Narmer Railjack, I beg you!
I don't think so.
Other than like, Caliban, and even then that's up to interpretation.
Like, if the sentients are big ships with fragments, whose fragments is ballas leading and why do they listen to erra and not somebody else?
Caliban was always made during the Old War
Hivemind with Erra/Natah in front, pretty sure.
as his alt helmet states
Yeah, but it was stated to be made by Erra to destroy the Tenno.
Not by a Sentient-Orokin joint effort.
But hiveminds are the shops, the shops are the sentients. Initially the big ship was the mother but no space nana
Ships*
praghasa was braindead, erra/natah were the "leaders" of the drones
erra was simping for ballas for some reason
reminder new war wouldnt have happened if erra was simply more racist
That's why we see Hunhow having his own fragments separate from others.
I'm assuming not all of them are literal fragments - Natah is stated to be queen of the mimics, so I'm assuming she would (atleast once reconnected) be the Hivemind leading them.
🥀
For example.
To be fair that's the Sentients entire thing, racist conservationists.
Erra was definitly an outlier.
This was
Nah I want INFESTED RJ with a infested spaceship remaster/rework.
That'd be cool, sure, but DE already have all those Sentient assets.
We can get that later.
From the Scarlet Spear.
I just feel like it's more likely to occur first.
Due to having way less asset work to be done.
Than infested railjack nodes, who would have to be made from scratch.
Erra was an idiot
Ooh but wait ballas was draining her power so heeee led them like he did with natah in the final fight
Ballas deserves the bond chiffre torture scene
Sentient Scapel being usable in less missions then Warm Coat is hilarious
it does literally nothing outside of the one tiny part of NW
Yeah, the part they made easier anyways.
I love the Sentient ship designs
We just see them so little...
same
I love how they put destroyed murexes on the starchart
AND DID NOTHING WITH THEM
literally the easiest narmer normal node locations you could ever do
Yeah, there was definitly more planned that got scrapped due to Covid.
Some part of me wishes they just take a year to go back and give us more War before the New War (as well as more Narmer stuff post-new war)
Even if I know that will never happen.
One can dream...
Got a question which confuses me, regardng lore, might be a plothole but...
- In "The Sacrifice" in Balla's vitruvian Ballas plans his betrayal but he mentions "A hidden truth in Lua that Hunhow and all of his kind are unaware of" regarding warframes (the existence of tenno)
- However, Old Peace happened before that I think? Or did I get the chronology wrong, but don't think so. Given Old Peace it would mean the sentients were fully aware of existence of Tenno's.
I think he meant the Reservoir, the Sentients would have known of the Tenno but not that they started using pods to control frames a distance, Hunhow uses this info to send Stalker to try kill the Tenno during the Second Dream
during the Old Peace we directly control the frames
Yeah, this is up to debate (unless it was revealed in one of Roathe's KIM chats, haven't done most yet), but I'm assuming, Hunhow being one of the Hiveminds (and thus probably cast out), simply did not have access to the information, and thus could not know anything regarding the Tenno, after the Sentients lost their independence with the destruction of the Xenoflora.
no pods needed
And yes, the Old Peace happens almost certainly before Ballas' betrayal since Margulis is still alive.
This makes a bit more sense. The way the chronology goes:
- Sentients are sent to Tau
- There's the first war between orokin and sentients (where infestation and I guess warframes as bio-drones are deployed and the tenno against them, it is the war Rothe takes part in.)
- Then we have old peace
- Then the war restarts thanks to Ballas
- Then Margulis dies
- Then we have The Sacrifice" where Ballas betrays the Orokin empire. (since he at that point mentions he lives with memory of one he loved dying)
- I guess night of naga drums happens after, since it's the fall of the orokin empire
Yep that's it
The one thing I'd add before that is that Margulis takes the player Tenno (and presumably others) to Lua to modify their memory of the Zariman+Tau right after Ballas restarts the war
So Hunhow and Phragasa attacks post old peace, most likely as retaliation for destroying the bloom and they want to destroy the sun in return, but Sacrifice vitruvian makes it sound as if the Sentients are unaware of the Tenno existence 🤔
The Tenno are mostly a secret
I guess that's the only explanation about it
During the Old War, only the executors and people at Tauron Academy knew about them
you need a amp to reset sentient resistance
the Tenno don't have amps at that point
you don't have one during the Old Peace quest
regular void blast that does 12 damage ingame 😭
Perhaps the knowledge about tenno was limited to selected few then, like @wild wind said, limited to tauron academy
regardless you need to get out of the frame to kill a sentient
Outside of the Void just being a weakness for the Sentients in canon, the main reason the Tenno were used in the war wasn't because of their direct Void powers, but their Transference
The Tenno themselves weren't considered weapons
You don't, other characters have killed Sentients plenty fine without it.
They were tactical assets because of their ability to control Warframes
Natah and the kids blasting Erra is one of the only times it happened
You are thinking vomvalysts
the drones also have resistances
with the other one we know about being the player Operator vaporizing their killsquad
and like yeah vomvalysts
Meaningless resistances
I found funny that moment with the Dax going "eh... Tenno are just the stuff of legends, they dont exist". Love that cliché.
Tenno wasn't a unknown term, Loid knows of them before he sees us actively transfer out of our warframes, but the tenno being children seemed to be widely unknown
those are on murexes so its not like its a eidolon only thing
There's also the fact that the website lore just before release of The Old Peace, if you did at least 2 routes, gives hidden message how the anomaly in Tau was able to permanently lock Tennot to warframe. That bit was interesting.
Only plains vomvalysts have that weakness
Even grineer kill sentients
so they still HAD to use operator
Loid knows the secret, what he doesn't know is that the general term for them is Operator
Idk you can kill sentients w out the operator cant you?
yes
The Lures near Grineer bases can take the "spectral" form of the Voms with only needing to kill the body, so still no.
But for plains vomvalysts you need an operator
Yes, you can kill sentient without operator. They adapt to weapons but they aren't immortal unless void is used
plains voms and no other
Are we just completely forgetting about Kahl's section in The New War
iirc the voms in the Sentient anomaly just die normally
Or the fact one of the first confirmed kills against a Sentient was just some random Grineer grunt using a shovel
Sadly the UI goes wonky on that moment after revival with the "Amp" written there, so might be why people get confused (as well as being able to use one, as well as the bug that showed Amps in cutscenes) cant blame people thinking that
You have to consider that voms were introduced not short after we got operator, it was part of game mechanic more than lore
ooof yeah fair
Even considering that, the lure the Grineer have specifically deal with their spectral form anyway, so you can just shoot the body.
if void isnt needed to kill sentients then holy shit the orokin empire was useless
that too.
So I know Ballas screwed things up as usual and reignited the war with the world-seed activation, but I think I missed the "playing both sides" angle.
Correct! The Sentients were EXTREMELY strong
how did they even get out of tau
Not entirely their fault, the Orokin sent high tech superweapons after the Sentients and the Sentients lol nope'd it
no like sentients are weak as hell if you dont need to amp blast them lore wise
they were doing fine against them during old peace already no?
One of the talk with Rothe did mention how strong sentients are. Got it today, it's titled "Fire" It gives pretty good insight how weapons based on technology couldn't be just used
That was after they got Warframes working
There's a lot of ways to be strong that don't involve "Not being killed by some random thing that was a completely freak accident"
Like, you know, their entire ability to take over electronics.
but yeah until the xenoflora broke the Sentient hivemind the Sentients were winning
Can't exactly do anything when ships you try sending in just get turned off in their entirety.
Sentients hacked their high tech weapons
same reason the sentients win the New War
They had to make "dumber" stuff that wouldn't be turned off by the Sentient stuff, hence the whole emphasis on biological weapons.
anarchs were able to capture the big sentients fine
What was the ship roathe mentioned again?
I don't think there was war when hivemind existed. Consider timeline:
- Sentinets (as hivemind hungry for Orokin orders) go to Tau, THEN they break free.
- Then after breaking free, the first was happens.
because they had the Prime Vanguard by that point
Don't remember exactly, not home to recheck.
they say during the quest that the sentients were winning until the hivemind was broken
The hivemind breaking is why the peace happened at all
arent those mentally insane warframes or at least some of them? whats the difference between a prime vanguard and a dax holding the prime vanguard's gun atp 😭
They're being forcibly taken over by Ascarius Prime's.
I have to question how some warframes were designed
Caliban is obvious. a fusion of warframe and sentient as a symbol of peace.
then you got ones like Grendel. a warframe designed to eat people...I mean I got a feeling about who thought up that one but still
Which kind of makes no sense, because hivemind was controlled by Orokin to follow orders 🤔 I assumed Ballas sabotaged the flowers to get Sentients under Orokin control at that point, because Margulis was still alive. He wasn't planning betrayal back then
they're all controlled via ascarius
no it's the other way around
grineer already use normal guns by old peace
Ascaris Prime... made by Ballas too
The hivemind when whole was destroying the Orokin
Then why would Ballas want to sabotage flowers and restart the war, if it was bringing back hivemind? His trigger for betrayal of empire was Margulis death. That didn't happen.
However, with the hivemind broken, Sentients will follow commands to the letter for lack of it
Yeah, but they still had to deal with everything else that wasn't guns getting turned off too, like life support and ship systems.
It isnt the hivemind that is hungry for orders tho
Its individual drones with neither hivemind or xenoflora
Ah...I get it
Ballas hates the Tenno that much
If you remember TNW, Ballas despises free will
also he bet that the hivemind wouldn't reform in time
Makes sense 🤔
Which also explains the biological buildings they constantly employ.
Then again, reason to sabotage Xenoflora might have been as simple as: Why let sentients be independent?
I mean, it's orokin empire, they had enough hubris to not like the idea of sentients being free, all of the Orokin actually.
that definitely came into it
That is basically the reason yeah
you mean like the white plants on the orokin derelict tileset?
it's a complex mix of 1. Ballas sux 2. Ballas hates you 3. Ballas hates fun freedom 4. Ballas is mad that his gf likes the kids better
I feel like tauron strikes tske too long to charge up but also kinda makes sense since it would be carnage
yep
And that even Rothe claims Ballas was far from the worst of the Orokin
No I mean the flesh buildings like the Unum where the Cetus people harvest the wall meat.
"The Academy is taking Margullis time with ME" I can see that
isnt that literally the only one
😭
Ballas or some guy under him, its talked about in his Prime trailer
Other towers found in railjack also use the biological features we see in the unum
So no not the only one
technically the infested asteroid from Nightwave season 2
The only one left standing
oops late but: Caliban was originally designed by Erra!
I am not surprised Orokin used bio-technology for building. It is faster to control growth that can develop outer shell like an orokin tower than use labor to construct.
It's the only one mentioned directly but you can find others. Still all under the basic umbrella of "You can't hack flesh" that they needed to use to have safeguards agains the Sentients
I think the infestation is really really potent and easy to modify
they could have spent years researching how to make quick construction possible. Or just use the festering tumor that spreads like wildfire and just modify it to be purposed
On Earth at least
There were a bunch more towers that were presumably the same kind or similar to the Unum (beyond just being meaty) + any others across the system but the Sentient that became the Eidolons destroyed the Earth ones
Given how Warframes have strong carapace of "Sword-steel" then yeah, I assume its like that. It's faster to grow a tower that will create hard carapace than just construct stuff manually.
Hm, would Sentients be able to take over Infestation through metal bits? Or viceversa?
No
It's not an electronic so no
I think infestation is too much flesh
no but also the infestation can't take over the sentients
They don't just metalbend lol
They hard counter each other in the worst way
No, would need to be technology, besides infestation has a hive mind on it's own, consider Lizzie is also Helmnith, it's not 'separate' entities.
Maybe they could try do something to mutalist bits, but it wouldn’t be likely to do much
Its just as Infestation took over Jordas I wondered at least
If Infestation can takeover them
Thats actually a normal thing it does. Gets mentioned in some flavour text I don’t remember. I think it called it “bio-ferrous”?
Not a Sentient so not relevant. Sentient and Infested just can't take over each other.
What is Caliban then? Infestation shaped like a Sentient?
Honestly id be miserable too if my name was ballas probably got bullied to hell and back
Purposeful hybridization
The problem with infestation was though that while it could 'counter' sentient adaptation with its own growth, essentailly it wasn't winning, it just created status quo
Was remembering daklos line about sentients wanting to be more human, and then remembered alad's amalgam project
Those are some really freaky possibilities if sentients with that ideal met alad's research
