Some folks use blender, some don't. There are a lot of options. As with anything, you get better with practice. Just start making things, you'll get better too.

In my opinion, you abused a bit with the angles and sharp edges, Corpus does have them, but it also includes other geometric shapes too such as rectangles and cylinders

Would also add more emissives and parallel lines

Need to use my tablet to do the detail pass anyways so it's a good stopping point.

"day 2" I suppose, probably going to redo the metallic parts to be a bit more hard surface but I'm trying to match the usual aesthetic and a lot of even those hard surface parts appear to be sculpted. Refined the sculpts for the primary and secondary sections, the pipes will probably need a bump in resolution as they are only roughly 700 tris and it shows lol.

Roughing out a sculpt of an idea I sketched out back when Xaku was the new frame.. The skull holes will be filled with tendrils in the end but I'm thinking of just removing them being a complete tunnel cause it looks a little goofy.

not just often, if you upload something to the workshop you will get feedback but sometimes the feedback is just "sorry that's not what we're currently looking for". The only real criterias are: is the technical quality good enough? Does it fit Warframe's art style? Is it something DE wants in the game? If these three questions are answered with yes you might still have to do some minor adjustments but your skin is basically fully set to be accepted.

Also let's move this to #tennogen-creation-discussion because this channel is only meant to showcase projects and not to have conversations

Voting and excitement around an is certainly a way to make sure it gets on the team's radar. So it is helpful, however, it is not a final deciding factor.

An item may look excellent on the Steam Workshop screenshots and earn itself a ton of votes, but there might be something technically wrong in the files that stops us from accepting it. Or an issue that would only come across while playing. For example, a shoulder armor piece that looks great but in game it totally obscure's the player's vision.

It's worth mentioning every item does get reviewed, whether or not it has upvotes / popularity. 🙂

So, I had some ideas for some kind of Orikin knight armor/syandana. I would start work on them, but I lack the ability as my computer can't handle the software yet. Here's the concept though. It's supposed to be sleek while using swooping, almost organic designs on the armor, topped with a castel-like metalic trim. What do y'all think? This is my first stab at trying to make a tennogen cosmetic!
I'm currently trying to make a cloth-looking chestplate that's based on the Ostron's aesthetic.
This is still very much a WIP, but I was wondering if there's any feedback anyone might have on it so far?

I'm a bit worried that the design might be too simple, so I was thinking of maybe making a second bit of cloth underneath the first that has physics applied to it

That looks pretty good if this is your first tennogen sketch. Already better than my first attempt. Love the big earrings, focal points like these are always really good design-wise. Good flow aswell and rule of thirds. I feel like you're one of the few that actually read the guide thoroughly. Go with the horns, you wanna avoid a "sphere" shape for the head as much as possible when doing tennogen unless you're really confident in the design. Just keep working on it.

I think the issue is that the textures and shape don't match. Entrati is very gothic while your design is like brutalism + art deco.

A couple of observations for now:

1. The obols are round but the rest is angular. If you look at other Entrati designs, you'll see that a lot it also has rounder, more organic-looking designs (with some of it literally being organic, but skulls aren't allowed in TennoGen). Ooooo- Yea I agree, I really like those, maybe a hybrid of elements of V5 and V6? I really like the blade of 5, and the handle/some other elements of 6.
Also, working with Grineer aesthetics may be a little more intuitive to model, + it really stands out

Scaldra and Techrot aesthetics aren't accepted, but Grineer and Infested are, and I'd say those are very similar

Yeah for example, Grineer can merge with Infested, and that is how something like the Charger (more infused flesh into armor) or the Undying Flyer (styled off of Mutalist more closely)
