TennoGen **Tenno! **

We’ve created a custom shader for Marmoset Toolbag that adds support for Warframe’s texture maps such as tint maps and animated emissives.

This shader works with both specular and metalness workflows. Users should note that this shader does not include custom lighting calculations; it simply handles texture manipulation for easy preview of Warframe art assets using Toolbag’s PBR.

TennoGen **Attention TennoGen artists! **

We've updated the Styanax files on the Steam Workshop to address the changes to tints on the live game as well as to fix an issue with the skirt material.

If you are planning to create something with Styanax and you downloaded his files before September 27th, please head to the Steam Workshop and redownload the new versions!

We've updated the Forums & Steam post accordingly but please spread the word if you know of any TennoGen artists currently experimenting with Styanax.

TennoGen Submission Review Changes

As of Round 22, all future Rounds will be decided without deadlines. When artists submit their creations, they will be reviewed on a frequent internal schedule to ensure faster turnaround on feedback, acceptance, etc.! Hi Tenno! small policy change for TennoGen Submissions as it relates to spoiler etiquette with a certain character who debuted in The New War! Artists will no longer have to keep this character out of screenshots & titles as we ourselves at DE have shown the character in promo material for Angels of the Zariman and our Duviri Paradox demo!

Citrine Files are now available for TennoGen artists! How will you reimagine the latest Warframe? 💎

NOTE: At this time, TennoGen artists will not be able to use Citrine’s gem texture for helmets and skins. The crystal effect found on Digital Extremes’ version of Citrine requires custom shader math that is not replicable for TennoGen -- as a result, artists should plan their designs to not feature this unique element for Citrine. Gems are still welcome, but unfortunately we cannot apply the custom sparkle as seen on her default!

Voruna has also been available since December 2022. 🌙

Hi TennoGen artists! I'm very happy to share that the team has made it so that Dual Nikana melee skins can now be submitted!

**NOTE about Kullervo's Daggers: **

Since Kullervo’s daggers are a part of the same material as the body, TennoGen artists are able to create custom textures for the daggers as well.

We understand that not all TennoGen artists can attend TennoCon in person. While the workshop primarily targeted a casual & curious audience — not necessarily established artists — we respect that many TennoGen contributors wanted to know what was shown and discussed!

Some overdue additions here (THANK YOU for continuing to submit awesome skins for Qorvex, Styanax, Voruna etc even without proper submission tags)

  • Added tags for Citrine, Cyte-09, Dagath, Koumei, Kullervo, Qorvex, Styanax, Temple, Voruna, and Jade
  • Made backend changes that will make future updates easier to publish.

While we are not planning a total revamp of the tool, our team resolved an issue that will now let us update more frequently if / when necessary. Oraxia files are now available on the Steam Workshop!

From a TennoGen designer perspective, there is nothing unusual or new about the way Oraxia works.

Oraxia's materials were authored in a more traditional PBR style, plus some additional details added with tiling normal maps that are not provided in the ZIP file. It’s on you as the creator to add these details yourself without any reference files.

😈 🍄 Uriel & Nokko files are now available on the Steam Workshop!

From a TennoGen designer perspective, there is nothing unusual or new about the way these two work.

Note: the Uriel zip is larger than our previous Warframe files, as Uriel's textures were authored at 4K.

🔸 Added a basic Import Package operator to help verify exports
🔸 Switch to Tennogen Scene now links existing collections instead of just the objects (Scene hierarchy should now be preserved)
🔸 Tennogen Scene default backdrop is now a neutral gray (Blue was matching our internal preview window within the game editor but gray is better for general authoring)
🔸 Added a mesh export check for UV bounds. UV coordinates for exported meshes need to be within the 0-1 range
🔸 Added mesh export checks for rare errors / edge cases in mesh authoring
🔸 Fixed a minor typo during Glass material export
🔸 Fixed Glass material Tint mask option, now maps tints to correct channels

🔸 Materials now have an "Export" property (displayed as a new button in the material list) in case there's materials in your .blend file you'd like to keep but don't want to export. Any materials assigned to exported meshes will be included regardless of this setting to avoid errors.
🔸 Fixed an error that allowed the exporter to write duplicate files.
🔸 Fixed a minor error in the exporter UI panel script.
🔸 Images loaded via the addon will have their alpha_mode set to 'CHANNEL_PACKED' by default (to prevent tint maps getting read incorrectly).

**🎨 Follie Files are now available on the Steam Workshop! **

Artists, please note: The Ink parts attached to Follie's body cannot be altered, and must continue to use the InkFX material.

If you wish to use the InkFX material for an alternate Follie helmet, you will need to make sure those elements are separate subtools with a separate material assignment.
