I really like the first one and it's pretty impressive what you could do in 2 weeks, personally I'd make the shoe bigger, lighten it a bit and make the font darker and use a sharper/stricter font like copperplate gothic or boulder if you're trying to make it look more like a shoe advert

A lot of my feedback is gonna be purely my personal preference, so take it with a grain of salt! I like the half-tone dot pattern with the gradient, makes it feel like it would serve as a poster in a comic book.

I'd be cautious with such high contrast between the light and the dark values on the hearts. Some of them are getting a little lost (like the yellow in the upper right hand), and some of them are far more prominent (like bottom light blue looks like it's above the pattern).

It could be an intentional choice, but some of the hearts being inverted / flipped seems a little random. But that could be something you did to aid in the messaging of hearts being different?

I'd also play around with different fonts, the bold and hard serifs on your current choice read to me as a little "military-esque". I'd personally choose something a little softer and organic feeling

I love what you're going for and it's a cool experiment! I think you've got some interesting ideas to continue to play with there

Maybe try to be more consistent with the colors. In the upper Image the "Dia Los Muertos" text is a little brighter then the background. Also the text-Outline is a bit distracting. maybe try soe shadows or so.
The overall look on the second layout is better, but also here the text is not consistent with the rest (to bright). Also the "BG" Thingy is way to dominant and distracting. The overall Design is very cool. Have fun.

oh the BG thing isn't permanent, its just so that people can find me 😄 maybe 😛 I don't leave it in, but it does stay whenever I post it on my website or on social media not that its too hard to remove.

The text brightness is based on the fancy neural filter harmonization so... that's what it gave me which I was kinda surprised TBH, it did great on the dog so not sure how to match what settings it used on the dog though

hi a few tips

to focus on the area youd want to use a gradient just like you did, but what happened in this photo is that the gradient is too strong, and doesnt have enough dehaze/clarity that properly would darken it

Another thing is the sky light haze is way too strong for it to look realistic. Tone it down and select only a smaller area around the haze. In terms of colors the colors are great!

The taillights look better when it is less magenta, and when the brights are shown better

I think it has too much glow

you can use "color balance" adjustment to match temperature of colors

btw theres a lot of effects - when I was younger a lot and I had my first steps in photoshop I also used too much effects

I have some of examples

you should understand that "less is more" in some ways and stay with style than put a lot of particles smokes lighting etc

so instead of using tons of effects use less but in more clever way

Hello, I need some feedback on my packaging project. The client didn't provide much guidance on what they wanted, which made it challenging. The only thing they mentioned was a preference for bright colors. Instead of using actual photographs, I decided to illustrate both the kunafa and some mascots. If anyone has suggestions for improving this design, I would greatly appreciate your input!

I will give some more detailed feedback on my subjective thoughts in a bit, but just my first immediate glance is that the low opacity stroke around the mascot feels a little odd, almost as if he's taking on a more ghostly form to haunt the packaging 😅 And on the second image your white text is getting very lost on top of that light tan / yellow color.

Well a lot of that older graffiti look is defined a few factors... things like: the underlying surface it was painted onto (bricks, tile, sheet metal, etc.), a mix of soft & sharp lines from stencils, and overspray. The original cover actually serves as an example of what I'm talking about. In order to achieve something similar, it's gonna be a little trickier with your redesign being a bit softer looking overall. I'd say first pick out what surface you imagine this graffiti going on and use that as a starting point

You know, you don't always have to break things down to this level, but if you're trying to digitally replicate certain "analogue" art styles, it can be incredibly helpful to walk through the steps of what the original process would be.

Say you want to make your own impressionist style oil painting from scratch in Photoshop...

You'd want to think:
-What does a stretched matte canvas look like, what texture does it have
-What colors of paint would be available to me
-What's the consistency of the oil paint
-How thick should my brush strokes be
-What directional movement do I want my strokes to be

And so on and so forth...

Well there are easy noise & grain filters built into Photoshop, just go to Filter > Noise > Add Noise and play around with it. I would recommend making sure the layer you're adding noise to is a smart object first though

If you want to add just a layer of noise over the whole image, create a new solid 50% grey layer, make it a smart object, add the noise filter, change blend mode to overlay, adjust the amount of noise and voila

btw i was showing the og linkin park and this cover to people who have never listened music in their life to see what they think of it in first glance , They found the original covers to be somewhat patriotic (due to a soldier being in it with a flag)

Well I’m no Linkin Park expert, I’m very familiar though. I would imagine that was some of the intent that went into the cover design for the single and Hybrid Theory (even the name of the album). Maybe not patriotic or war because the character doesn’t seem to have a weapon or uniform. Likely meant to represent counter culture or being a revolutionary. With wings that are elegant but not like butterfly wings, more like dragonfly. So a mix between protest, fighting, peace (the flag), urban art (the subway looking wall + spray paint), and nature (the wings). Ya know, a “Hybrid” that blends elements meant to show contrasts between the elements

The colors are a bit all over the place. I would stick to the yellow and red and leave out the baby blue. Also, I would make the spacing between the lines of text the same. Lastly, all of the margins should be equal; you got lines of text that but right up against the inside lines of the layout. There should be "breathing room" between the text and the edge(s).

Is the money burned when it "falls" or is it supposed to go to hell? It's not entirely clear to me whether the focus of the image should be on the money or the person. All three image elements (green money upwards, red money downwards, a person) are equally weighted in the image.
Technically speaking, I would try to sharpen the person a bit and possibly make the white border a bit wider. The green and red borders on the banknotes match this. On the left there is also this fluttering money that I somehow miss with the red money on the right. Hope this helps a bit.

Hi, looks like a nice Portfolio. Maybe try to be a bit more direct like what should your Portfolio do? what kind of people do you want to reach and what EXACTLY do you want to do for them? Does anyone know how what to call this font and/or style. I like the jagged edges and gothic look and how it looks like crystal/glass with too much exposure. I will say that you can see the outline of the speech bubble a bit still, and theres a weird outline around him.

My suggestion is to separate Diego from the background by adding the "levels" adjustment layer to him only and upping the contrast, while adding a slight blur to the background to make him really pop

, How do I keep the same size of canvas after closing and opening the same document and inside content of it also should remain unchanged. But in my case it's not happening. Everything is getting changed even after saving it. Because in my 2021 version of Photoshop software' everytime, I open up the same document, it automatically changes the canvas size n it's inside color and shading everything,so please guide me how do I fix this issue step by step? I'm unable to find this issue on Google n YouTube.

And if I create a new document and enter the same no. Of the canvas size then the size comes completely different and the content inside which I have drawn n painted also changes, even after saving things, so kindly help me out everyone. You need a certain text size (e.g. 760 pt in my case).
You need a ‘gradient’. This is what the Inner Glow provides. Convert your text into a Smart object and apply the halftone filter with the same values for all colours.

The main difference I see is in the shadows between the quad on the left and the tricycle on the right. The density and softness of the shadows don’t match. Also, the tricycle itself is not in sharp focus like the quad.

you are most welcome! Another thought comes to mind. If the child on the tricycle is not someone specific, then you could flip it so that he and the bike are pointing to the right which would align with the direction the track is going.

Believe me, the road has a slight deformation, to try to make the tricycle face the same direction. I left it a little like that, with the intention that the child and Wario are in a dispute, and since the child's foot is a little elevated, it seems that the child hits Wario hahahahaha and that causes the imbalance hahahahaha. (The things that one imagines hahahaha)

Personally I would make a much stronger choice. Given how extreme your imagery is I think the faint and soft black shadow is far too soft. Again, just my personal opinion.

Cool. I think the multiple light sources are fine. A flying burger isn't supposed to be realistic and the way it's lit enhances the absurd, magical quality of it. The main issue for me is that the two salads in the foreground are at different perspectives, and their greens are very different colors. I would make some adjustments to make all of the greens look the same. And a warm, yellowish light generally works well for a food shot. But the greens shouldn't look too yellow or they look not fresh. So I would cool them down a bit. Finally, the burger meat could look a little tastier.

Totally up to you. Just be careful that other elements don't compete with the burger. The burger is the star of the show. So anything else should be supporting acters. And remember that the whole composition should tell a cohesive story.

The shadow looks good. But it's pointing in the wrong direction.

The light is coming from the top front right. The shadow must therefore run to the back left.

As said before the light and shadows are a bit off! Also look up how the light will loose intensity the farer away from the source the object is. So on the top of the burger will be more light and on the bottom less light.
The Background is not realistic. Just at the edge of the table ALL is blurred (with no depth..).
Then when those "errors" are fixed maybe try to put something around the burger like some flowers or kitchen utillities or something else as props.

For the normal eye there is no difference. If switched between the two there is a minor difference in details (like a instagram filter) BUT for someone only looking at one of those images there will be no difference. So its up to you what mood you want to transport with those and what you decide you want.

In my opinion, the background lighting is of secondary importance. The bright spotlight on top of the burger is crucial for casting shadows.

I did definitely tweak the levels and curves with the og picture but to be honest i kinda like the look i got

But i totally see where youre coming from, there were a couple details in the whitespace that i masked out because it made it a little awkward

This is really good but I think the hierarchy is not perfect so the typography at the bottom should be smaller you can make the important texts with bigger size and secondary texts with smaller sizes

The Text reads a bit weird. First I thought "want to it's on prime ... what is that?" also the words onthe right side are way to many. Also try to look how the amazon prime as logo is used. I'm not sure that the amazon-Logo and "prime" would be used in that way that its so much apart. I think it should be "Learn more on amazon.com" and not "in".
