Not really, there are AI capabilities directly built in in Photoshop. Now, it's like everything, it's more how to use it than the tool itself.
Photoshop is a beast of a software, so AI comes as a way to speed up the workflow, but will never replace proper learning.

I didn't say that it's not worth it, but if you are strapped for money, better invest in the software and take advantage of all the stuff you can get for free

You got a 7 days trial. it's enough so you can get an idea if it's for you. Invest a couple of hours per day learning the basics with the hands-on tutorials (in the help menu) and courses I shared above, and you'll see if it's worth investing.

There's multiple things going on. Some with multiple ways of doing it. But for starters the blue part looks like they took a selection of a fish and removed it, then messed with the part removed in different manners while having the blue part as a lower layer.

You can try with Filter/Distort/Twirl (and crank the degrees to 360º and more depending the intensity of the spiral you want)...
It works well on a Square Canvas... Make it on a square canvas then place it in your document. I went simple in this video but you'll get the concept. Unfortunately there's no Spiral tool in Photoshop but if you have access to Illustrator you can draw your spiral path in Illustrator then copy the path to Photoshop and Stroke it with any brush you want...

You shouldn't really Erase (unless you're certain its permanent). Use a Layer Mask. Paint with grey and it will be transparent.

There are times when I see a spot on a Layer, I will just erase it. Or draw a selection around it and hit the delete key.

What I hate about the eraser is that it functions as a black layer mask, yet there is no easy way to unerase, but the biggest issue is that it removes the color info once you reach 0 opacity. If it did not the latter, it would really non destructive (if we could revert it)

Yeah, although I do use it minimally because of my drawing tablet pen just happening to have a
"physical eraser" I do think of the eraser function as something I used "before I knew better." Like I literally think using it is parallel how kids draw on walls with crayons lol.

Hi, I beg to disagree: the blur is constant, but there is a pixel stretch before it. You could try to use the single row select tool, select the very end of the top clouds, then copy it Ctrl+J, then transform it (uncheck the lock in the option bar) to stretch it towards the middle. Do the same with the bottom clouds, switch to the single column select tool, stretch the left and right inner rows of pixels, use blend mode to taste, maybe layer masks. You could then copy merge (Ctrl+shft+alt+e) and play with the blur gallery filters for a gradual blur.

If you plan to use this in Photoshop you can set its blending mode to "Screen" => it will make blacks transparent and white opaque.
If you want to make a transparent png you can try the "Blend if " technique.

my photoshop has started scrolling automatically on the canvas, the layers tab and the brushes tab, i think its pretty much any section of Photoshop with a scroll wheel, I have turned off overscrolling, Enable Flick Panning, I have Reset Preferences after quitting, I have updated photoshop just now, I have restarted my wacom Tablet drivers, fairly sure it isn't that since I have disconnected my wacom tablet and the problem still persists, Should I uninstall Photoshop and reinstall?

I haven't seen this personally. You could try deleting the Preferences file first. If that doesn't work, then try reinstalling. That's probably the easiest route. Just to start with a clean slate.

If Photoshop is open already.... Edit > Preferences > General... "Reset Preferences on Quit"

If Photoshop is not open. Start it and hold down SHIFT CTRL ALT during startup and wait until you see the dialog box asking to reset the settings file.

In the Liquify filter, Bloat does a great job at that. Be prepared to not get it right the first try though. And I recommend converting the layer for smart filters first to do it non-destructively. All of this is in the Filter menu up top.

Even if you only stretch the face to be similar proportions, I wonder how much it will actually look like the person. Adobe Gen Image / Gen Fill is not likely to be helpful here either. Maybe a different tool.

If you literally mean cut off the front of a shark and then put the face there, you could probably do that but then it probably won't look like a shark.

Its a difficult problem for sure.

Believe it or not, I've seen people attempt this multiple times. It generally doesn't work. Unless you literally just paste the persons face over the image. Then it just looks weird.

I didn't use Photoshop to generate it. "man in scuba gear taking selfie with great white shark" would work in many AI models. But you have to map the face over the person in the over the generated image. Then probably add the scuba mask. I had to add the mask afterwards.

It's been a hard decision, but after 25+ years using Adobe products I'm having to give it up. I wish there could be either stand alone options again for a one-time payment, or a create your own package kind of deal for a certain number of apps. I began in school learning the basics of Adobe programs at the time. Then bought PS and have loved it! Went onto LR, AI, and PR mainly, but I can't spend all that money for not even using half the apps. I was doing the Photography Plan for $9.99, but won a giveaway and then switched to All Apps and now I can't even get that deal anymore. I'm really going to miss Adobe after all these years and hope they decide to offer different plans or options like in the past so I can come back to the apps I love and am so used to!

Some people still want to hold an object (sometimes some will buy or stream the album but still buy a CD - or vinyl - as well)

Last project I retouched, the album covers (front and back) were designed for a vinyl, I don't think they will release it as a CD, I need to check

I tried it on a human face, and it's like keeping the face and everything as it is. only matching color, adding shadows and highlights. The way it's doing it is amazing; it's even making the photo better. It'd be a banger if it works like that. Huge time saving. I would be more happy if it used curves and other tools to adjust, but I don't know.

The problem with the beta is we're never sure if a feature is going to make through the gauntlet of testing and other scrutiny. It looks promising as is. Hopefully, it won't get whacked or work differently in the future.

I don't know anything. Even if I did, I can neither confirm nor deny anything. I hope it continues improving and makes it into the General app.
