Here is a different approach. You could try using a mask on a fill layer and then adjusting the feathering of it using the Refine Mask workspace.

Layer 0 is there from the beginning. Its a Layer that is filled with black. No real mystery there.

The thing next to it is a Layer Mask.

In my mind, there are two types of watermark:
Those that try to prevent others to steal your image (for example so they can pretend it's their work)
and those that are there to give credits to the original creator (you, for instance)

I think the first one is a useless pursuit, you'll probably be better off with only showing low resolution owork, because watermarks can be removed, there is a whole industry around that

So for example this is one of my social media posts, ready to be exported (generally at around 1000 pixels, not more)
It will contains all my info in the tagged file, my logo (unobstructive, because I want potential clients to see my work) and the different credits (I always credit the photographer when I can, because Content Credential doesn't allow to add a credit line)

You can also inspect others people's work to see what they used (for example if any genAI is involved)

That's a tricky one. Assuming you're talking about finding images in stock platforms, it's mostly "by eye". There is also the solution to upload a reference in the visual search

you can also type the rough description of the perspective and hope for the best: Like "top view" or "front view" etc

You hope that the person who created the image and uploaded it on these platform added that information to their description and metadata, not everyone does that. I always do, because I know this i a pain to create composites

I started on Upwork (but it was a very long time ago, when a $5 job wasn't the norm) and I built my business from there. You need a portfolio to show people, you need to contact potential clients when you got your portfolio ready, and if you can prove you do the job well, and on time, then you are likely to get recommended. It's something that take years (If you want to freelance). Most people will start working as an In-house designer and will move to freelancing (or not) later in life.
First thing, you need a strong portfolio.

This portfolio can be all personal work, at least for the beginning, as long as it's good

That's good! If you zoom on anything the sharpness will disapear. Your real size is 100%. You need to design for the real size of your object, so make sure that's the case (Like don't create a full t-shirt design at 400 pix wide at 72 dpi, it's too small. It should be 20 x30 cm at least)

In any case, the real look is always at 100%, if you zoom, that will be so you can check details or work on things with more precision, and it's normal that the result is blurry. As long as the blur isn't present at 100% you're good

I will be honest here, if you can't see anything on the image, there is little chance someone can make it visisble. It is possible to make something sharper from an image or video that is a bit blurry, but anything more will require the use of some sort of generation (AI driven or otherwise, meaning that you will never be sure that's the right number plate)
If you plan to use the result in a tribunal or for the police (for example an accident) you'll have no proof.
I merely tell you that because there will be people online that will claim they can make something appear out of nowehere. They're scammers. They will invent a number plate and take your money.
As I said it depends on what is already visible on your material. You can still show here what you got and people will see if they are interested, but I would take any wild claim with a grain of salt (a whole shovel, probably)

I like the CC Library suggestion by PE. If you need those as "Photoshop documents" you can save them as PSDT files, i.e. Photoshop Templates. Then when you need that to start a new file, you just do File > Open... and choose that template.

Hi, when you blur a floating layer it also blurs the transparent areas outside of it. I wonder if use by the transparency lock (the tiny checkerboard on top of the layers panel)

In short, the difference is, Photoshop is raster-based, while Illustrator is vector-based.

There are also many features in Illustrator particularly for logo and graphic creations but that’s another story for another time.

You can make that in either app, Photoshop or Illustrator. How you might use it would really determine how you might want to build it.

If you need that as an ancillary graphic for a website and that's it, Photoshop is probably fine. If you need that to go on a banner for a tradeshow, you might want to build that as vector graphics and thus Illustrator.

It's important to understand both raster and vector graphics and how they are used.

I'm sure you can always upgrade your subscription. I'm not really an expert at that so you should contact Adobe Customer Care and they would be able to advise you better. At least in regards to which subscriptions offer what apps. I'd imagine "All Apps" is the most cost effective but its also the most expensive.

I think there is also a graphic design package plan, if I’m not mistaken. That will give you Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, etc. The essentials for graphic design.

The bottom left has both a nod towards the Kranok pattern, which is a flame style in Thai culture. Kranok also means 'pattern of lines'. The silk thread lines wrapping around it forming a bit of a lotus flower, which represents growth and Thai culture, and since silk is literally 'grown', it makes sense. The gradient colours from dark (the cocoon) to a golden thread are also intentional.

The thing with Photoshop (and Adobe in general), which I think many people don’t realize is yeah, it’s expensive. But it’s not overpriced. There’s no limits to what you can create using Adobe services. And there’s no alternatives that can do everything Adobe can do. The only way it becomes a waste of money is if you don’t put in the effort to learn it and make the most out of the tools and features.

Unfortunately it's quite easy to see a forum like this to quickly hit a tipping point where the majority of the posts become spammy sales ads. I was wondering if it's possible to achieve this result using Photoshop alone. My goal is to create all the elements separately and assemble them within Photoshop. I’ve experimented with different blending modes like Multiply and Screen for the objects, but when it comes to controlling the lighting, is Blender necessary?

The idea is to have a CD case wrapped in a plastic bag, where I have full control over the CD cover inside, allowing me to change it as needed. My plan is to use a Smart Object for the CD case so that I can easily swap the cover. However, I'm unsure about how to achieve realistic lighting effects, especially the light coming from the side.

Would Photoshop be enough for this, or would I need Blender for better lighting control?

i want an affect, a Gamma sphere/circle affect in which it start from center of image gama is default ( non changed ) then the more it goes to corner ( in a sphere/circle shape ) the darker ( or whiter ) it gets

If you make a black background on a lower layer, then mask the image with a radial gradient you will get the rocks fading to black similar to that. Camera Raw has a setting called Vignette that does it a little more automatically.

You can. Use a Layer Mask. Paint the shape you want.

If by "gradient" you mean to add a gradual falloff, use feathering on the mask.

Yeah, gradual falloff is exactly what I meant. Being able to use select and mask to see the adjustments in real time makes it something I will probably use frequently.

I only wish I thought of doing that myself, in hindsight it seems almost obvious.
