The Filter in Photoshop and ACR are the same thing. The UI is slightly different but you can easily share presets and save/load settings beween them
The cool thing about the bridge version is that you can batch things (which you can't in the Photoshop filter)

Thanks, yes I didn't know about batch and once I tried, it helped a lot to process all photos at once, and some plug-ins also work with it for automatic retouch, skin tone etc., all at once!

It's the same in Lightroom classic (same engine BTW). I once had a series of photos with the same spot of sensor dust on all of them and the batch edit saved me a lot of time. (It obviously needs to be in the same place. Actually quite often the case in a studio)

You can ask, and some people will do the thing you ask for free, some people won't, it's a matter of personal ethics. But don't be disheartened by just one answer, and also keep in mind that people live in different time zones so you might not get an immediate answer.
The best way to get help (or something done for you) is:
share the image, or a visual reference, something that can help people figure out what you want
Be as clear as possible with your needs, so people can easily see if it worth their time or not.
So, you could, in the same sentence, politely ask for help, share an image and explain what you need and you would probably have had an answer from several users.
Don't forget that you are asking for a favour, and some people will ignore you if you make it hard for them to help you.

I must say that the "politely ask" wasn't aimed at you, your request was most polite (I was saying that in the general sense)

That's actually quite cheap, but students get an even better deal (also sometimes you can get a subscription free from your school or uni, so you don't even have to pay)

Excepet when it's very slight, you really can't. That's one of the things that is nigh on impossible to deal with by standard methods. In some cases you can redraw things manually (mostly when unimportant areas are blurry) or choose generative fill if the blurry parts are standard objects

I captured the photo on an Android phone. I used my iPad for a lot of things. Photoshop, Fresco, Firefly. However, for heavy-duty stuff, I remote desktop into one of my Windows machines at home. haha

I can use cloud documents or push files back and forth to the cloud.

More conveniently doing it natively from Windows than iOS.

Perhaps you can get some AI to do it with Face Swapping but given these two images, I doubt it will result in anything good/usable.

If you want the best results you need to be in a similar pose, and get a photo from a similar angle as your reference. Otherwise it's like trying to combine hard shell tacos and blueberry pancakes... you can do it, but it's not gonna be good

My favourite, was someone who needed to change 600 QR codes (which were SVGs) from black and white to NAVY and white. - Their previous agency didn't know a smart way to do it, so quoted them about £1,800 to do it one-by-one.

I spent 10 minutes thinking about it, 3 minutes downloading some software and then did a Bulk 'find and replace' in the SVG codes and it it did it in about 15 seconds.

I charged them £600 and they were DELIGHTED!

You could convert the image in the background to a Smart Object and apply the Blur. Then you could insert another image, convert that to a Smart Object and just drag the Blur (and any other Smart Filter effects) to the new layer.

Or enter the Smart Object and replace the image. Either way its the same result

You could use either a hue/stauration adjustment layer and use the colour picker to select either the red bits or yellow bits (there is a bit of both) and lower the saturation, modify the hue, and increase the lightness or use a gradient map with only shades of white, light blue or whatever you need to turn the red/yellow into those colours.

if you're using the gradient map method, you'll probably have to mask out the black parts

So you were doing an "image-to-image" workflow, using this last image as the base and then it was rendering out a new image. Then some final step was doing an upscale operation?

No ! What I did was take the original image as a base and generate a depth map from it. I then linked the depth map to the Flux model, where I prompted a description of the image and allowed for a bit of creativity in the process. As a result, I produced this image.

Then I brought it into Photoshop, cropped it, cleaned it up a bit, and adjusted the contrast. I restored the levels to match the original and then used an upscaler to add details and skin texture. However, I might have upscaled it too much. I brought it back into Photoshop for final refinements, but now I'm encountering this problem after upscaling it twice to enhance the face textures.

So you're using Photoshop to tweak the results? Soften out some of that noise that Flux and or the Upscale produced?

Exactly I use flux as a base model but for the upscaling I am using SDXL more specifically epic realism model since SDXL produce better upscaling than flux upscaling

I would try to do the tweaking, using Adobe Camera Raw (as a Filter) in Photoshop; specifically Clarity and Noise Reduction

You'll probably want to knock down the noise. Or don't attempt to make the image so large. SDXL/Epic Realism are trained on certain size images. Upscaling them too far will likely produce unrealistic results.

Flux gives nice results but its also limited to size. This isn't photography. If you want those types of details, hire a model and take photographs. :)

It gives the image the look I was trying to avoid from the generation process. The whole point of the upscaling was to enhance the details and skin texture to achieve a more lifelike feel. However, if it appears glossy and plastic-like, it ends up looking unrealistic. Besides reducing the noise, do you think there’s a way to fix that?

You can only enhance detail where the AI knows how to render it. Most of them are not trained on detail like that.

As I said, the only way to get true details at that scale is to take a real photograph. And do a close-up with probably with some sort of macro lens.

The use of AI could be a significant benefit, especially during the preproduction phase. I’m consistently encouraging her to explore AI to stay relevant and not get left behind. I’m also considering establishing an AI-based production on the side, but for now, I need to deepen my understanding of tools like ComfyUI, LoRAs, IP adapters, and all these other tweaks.

I feel like you're explaining these things to me like I don't understand this or I'm disagreeing with you. I'm not. I work in imaging. I find a great many uses for machine learning. That said, there are limitations.

You must understand that these AI models only approximate reality based on data that they are supplied. While they improve at an exponential rate, they still don't compare to real imaging with glass and sensors.

Flux makes nice images. But only at like 1024x1024. Then you upscale them. Whatever is doing the upscaling (some AI denoiser like Topaz Gigapixel with a "creativity slider") is introducing new things into the image. It's attempting to produce something that looks good. However, when you look closely, you will notice problems in the fine details, e.g. strands of hair, eyes (iris/pupils) and definitely skin.

Its more difficult to notice in things that human beings don't generally care about scrutinizing, e.g. dirt, rock, clouds, etc

SDXL + Clarity, Juggernaut, Epic Realism, name any model. They're all going to have problems in one thing or another.

Absolutely, 100%. Specifically regarding the "soul" you can feel in photographs most AI generated images often lack that emotional depth. I'm not sure if it's possible to bring a soul to them, and perhaps that's more of a purist's perspective or maybe not. But from another angle, let’s consider a brand looking to represent itself at a lower cost while still expecting great results. Would human-like realism really matter that much to them?

Often, consumers don’t demand the same level of perfection that we as creators might aim for. What I’ve noticed is that what matters most to them is the value they’re getting for their investment. If the benefits significantly outweigh the cost, they’re likely to choose it. That doesn’t mean the images should be mediocre, but if a client spends a certain amount and receives more value than expected while only sacrificing a minor 15% difference compared to a real life photoshoot they’ll likely go for it.

It depends on the brand and its budget, but based on my experience working with high fashion brands in Paris, the more luxurious and high end a brand is, the less they tend to invest in their production. In fact, for well known brands or magazines, production costs can sometimes be reduced to zero.

For example, Vogue doesn’t pay its photographers, makeup artists, or production team they work for free simply for the prestige of shooting for Vogue and the value it adds to their portfolios. Similarly, most major brands and magazines leverage their reputation to avoid paying for production, knowing that the opportunity to work with them is seen as sufficient compensation.

The true value in AI is not in replacing human beings or their work. Its same with ALL software. It should make tasks, jobs and lives easier and more fulfilling. AI for ideation? Great. AI for iteration. Great. That's money that doesn't have to be spent on trial and error by human beings. I see the value in that.

I would rather have a dishwasher than stand there and do the dishes. AI can do the dishes and then I can spend more time doing the work I want to be doing. heh

But what if it doesn’t? What if AI does end up replacing jobs and positions? I understand the limits of my role and the influence I have to create change at my level. Power is inherently tied to position, and within my position, my responsibility is to consider every possible scenario that might occur and devise strategies to navigate them. Companies like Google and other big firms invest in AI not necessarily because they are convinced it will succeed, but because they have the budget to take the risk. More importantly, if AI does succeed, they’ll be at the forefront. If it doesn’t, they’ll at least avoid being left behind, having missed an opportunity that could have grown exponentially.

From a business perspective, it’s about seizing opportunities with high potential. The AI revolution could profoundly impact production processes, though to what extent remains uncertain. There are potential repercussions if AI isn’t properly regulated, but even if it disrupts industries say, by replacing photographers how could we stop or regulate it effectively?

That said, being ahead of the curve is essential. Preparing for and adapting to these shifts ensures that if or when they happen, we are not caught off guard but are ready to leverage the changes to our advantage.

Being prepared for what might happen is always difficult. Telling people to go find a new career doesn't usually go over too well. And for good reason. Unfortunately, the reality is: this has occurred for a long time. Particularly since the dawn of the Industrial Revolution. Luddites smashed the looms but they only delayed the inevitable. Automation still took their jobs.

Where is the text from? Is it taken from a website or an app? If so, is there any mechanism applied to blur it that you might be able to tweak to make it clear? Or is it simply a screenshot? The characters are too blurred to determine what they are, so perhaps consider the context of the text and investigate the environment it’s from you might uncover more with enough information.

If this is just an image you found, try checking the file's source or metadata. You could also Google the file name; it might lead you to a related link. However, as James mentioned, if it's just a standalone image, it’s likely impossible to unblur. On the other hand, if the blurring is caused by an underlying mechanism (e.g., a website’s rendering process), you might be able to tweak that mechanism to make the text readable.

The problem here is that you got shadows from the foliage outside and they will be hard to remove as they're not evenly distributed

That means that you will have to use either a curve or a level adjustment layer with a mask to lighten those areas so they match the rest of the paper (check Dodge and burn as well online, it can be done by painting on a new layer, or through the levels or curves method)

It will take time to do it properly. In addition to correcting the perspective.

Not saying it's not doable, it will just take time. Since you've accepted the job, I'm assuming you know your way around adjustment layers and masks. It's just a biit tedious to do because you have to draw in the darker areas and make it blen with the rest (that's why feather on the mask will be important)

You'll need a profile for each machine and that means you need to create a different file for each machine

When you will be soft proofing for the mug, you'll need to colour correct so the result is waht you need. You'll need to do the same for the bottle

That means you'll have semi automatic correction for each type of file. Of course you need to take time to do the hard work the first time, and once you converted your corrections into a LUT, then all you have to do is create a new adjstement layer for a colour Look Up, and choose your specific LUT in the dropdown menu

Hi everyone! I’m trying to recreate the style of this picture, specifically the background and the lighting effects. Here’s what I’ve done so far:
1)- I used the Gradient Tool to create a black-to-white radial gradient as the background.

2. I isolate the object first and add the gradient behind it but it doesn't show up as the same effect and the edges of the selection look bad and I have to specifically go and repaint the mask around the edges

i have a quick question about ps

idk if its a bug or what

but whenever i quick select something

if i let go

and i try to quick select more it just deletes what i selcted

If it's deleting what you selected, then you have the Remove tool, not the selection tool. If it's just deselecting what you had selected already, and you're certain that you have the right tool, then look in the control panel and be sure you have the middle of the three icons selected (add to selection) and not the left one, which I'm showing here:

You have to make this as background then other picture on other layer and make it's stroke like you are showing

Just open it in Photoshop it will make automatically background layer
