I've done personal projects with 3D renderings for my portfolio and I used my own brand (I also took the opportunity to show the process of creating a brand, logo etc, it's an exciting exercise)

Know that most logos are created in Illustrator (That not mean you CANNOT create them in Photoshop, but logos really need to be vector files, and Photoshop is probably not the most obvious choice for that)

• Via menu: Increase image size to the size you need

If cloud based it could be that the syncing is slow (no connection etc)
If it's on your computer it could be that your file has changed location (you moved it elsewhere after you saved it), but you should have an error message saying so

To check your syncing status, click on the cloud icon top right and see what it's saying

If the files are super important, I would suggest saving them on your computer as well. In case the syncing fails or the internet connection is not very good

You can do it after the fact (just open them in PS, and instead of CTRL+S (save), do "save as" and choose computer in the next page

You can also do "save as copy", similar choice

Some of the things you can pull in when you composite photos. Some you'd have to paint. Still others, you could try to prompt... or prompt and then refine later. There is a lot involved.

yeah I'd say there's a lot involved; paint what exactly? prompting I'd guess you'd have to describe how the garment/outfit appears then? Like I'd want to give my bear a more feminine appearance on the chest but that's hard to do without being so obvious (it flags the word, even if not used negatively)

If you're trying to create contours underneath clothing and you can't describe them (in a prompt), this is where you need to paint, Liquify, etc to create the look you want. A.I. is just another tool to get us to a destination. We still have to use Photoshop, tools and skill to get us over the finish line. :)

Blending Modes work because there is something underneath to blend with. If you export a Layer with a blend mode assigned, that won't work (as there is nothing underneath).

If I had to do it for a client, I would go the frequency separation route and meticulously remove facial hair and stubble with the healing brush. It would cost you more than $22 syk

I start with levels/curves to make it more dark then j use color balance/hue and saturation and next I use exposure for highlights

use soft brush around 5-20% flow

its the basic tips for photomanipulation from me

after that you can learn about blend if for example

The faces are not in the same scale or orientation. This will be pretty difficult to achieve.

You will probably have to duplicate parts of it and move them around, scale and warp them. Its not going to be a trivial task and I probably can't describe it to you in detail.

there's plugins that can do this in PS

looks like you chopped this off? You want free transform, usually if you just drag the adjustment handles it will keep it in the correct aspect ratio if you hit SHIFT the aspect changes and you get the funny look.

Hey, I've been asked to place a train that looks like the one on the LEFT onto the track here on the RIGHT!

I've tried with basic Gen fill, which does a half decent result, but it doesn't use my 'reference image' - is that possible?

well.... that 'reference image' feature seems to be a bit useless in this instance?

so I'm a train buff, the issue is going to be trademarks; AI won't do a close representation of what you want; I tried it too

The people that want this image, already own the track and the train in question 🙂 - so they're suprisingly lax about it. - I've already explained it will be aided by AI, and there WILL be technical abnormalities in it...

they're also happy with covering it a bit of extra 'speed/blur' to hide some aspects...

Every time I make a selection and use Gen fill with a ref image, it's just replacing the ENTIRE canvas.

Maybe what I need is in BETA only at the moment

that's not the point, the point is AI won't do it, not unless the people have their own internal AI system

best way to do it is to get a real train on those tracks and take the photos

Yeah I agree - that's not going to be possible. Annoyingly, if this was 2 years ago, I'd have laughed at the client and said "we're not wizards" and not agreed to even try!

but what you could do maybe... is see if you can generate a train and maybe take bits and parts from another train (one of theirs) and mask it in even with their logo, etc that's about what I'd do if I were in your shoes, no guarantees tho

its silly tho if they own the tracks they won't bring a train for photography

No, turning a layer into a smart object doesn't make GenFill clearer. It just helps you edit without messing up the original and such.

What do you mean by match? Same Bright purple color?

but there's gradients so not sure how to do that myself

this is normally hidden behind the body of the character but i am trying to make a back view

i have done a brightness, contrast and hue shiting and that worked great but i have no idea how to do that without altering the appearance of my second layer
