@clever krakenwhat you can do is open the file in photo shop go to the object select tool and hold down the mouse on that till you see the magic wand tool select that, before selecting it zoom in on the name you want to remove, then select the magic wand, click on the black or colour of the first letter then hold shift and do that for each other letter then when all letters are selected click the brush tool select the colour then click with the dropper tool on the background colour of what ever the background to the text is then brush over the selected letters, done

You could do this easily enough. It uses a few techniques but something you could learn pretty quickly. I imagine it would take me perhaps 7-8 minutes to build from scratch. Longest bit would be finding a nice font.

Maps in games don't typically use raster graphics. This is why you can zoom in and out of something like GTA 5/6 etc (what number are we on these days?) without the xbox/PC crashing.

They instead use vectors, or re-render it when you change the zoom (like google maps)

I had 16GB for aaages and didn't really have much issue. I was sometimes working on 20+GB PSB files. (Slowly!)

I've recently updgraded to 32GB. I picked ones that were higher 'speed' than before (something like 3600 MHz), and then only after installing them, I realised that my older Motherboard is causing the bottleneck (2400 MHz) anyway so they can't reach their potential.

Yes. I don't know too much about technical bits (compared to some people!) but I know that mixing speeds is a no-no.

Having two speeds is like two people handcuffed together whilst trying to outrun a lion... you both go the speed of the slowest!

...and the slow bugger refuses to speed up, even if you pull them harder!

Photoshop is great for image manipulation and pushing pixels around.
Illustrator is great for creating vector content like logos.
Of course the best option is to use both as you can place Illustrator content into Photoshop and vice versa.

There are no rules. I strongly discourage it personnaly, because we have no way to enforce anything if things go sour between people. All proceedings should go in DMs anyway, and people will not be able to complain if they have been scammed one way or another.

There are platforms where you can safely post a job (PPH, Upwork and even Behance) and there is even a "photoshop requests" sub-reddit (not an official Adobe server) exactly for that purpose.

This is not something you can find in Photoshop. if you are looking for that type of image then you can find them in specialist websites like Turbo Squid etc. It would help if you could be a little less vague, because if you want just the imegs, or if you want also the models and the materials, then I may point you to different websites

Als, keep in mind that it's a Photoshop related server and while you can absolutely ask questions on things that aren't related to Photoshop, it may not be the ideal place to do so...

That's what I do too. Most of the times what people ask would take 5 minutes (or even less if they'd use the generative fill) so I don't understand why they wouldn't want to learn... Unless they don't have Photoshop themselves of course.

You should use the layer panel, found mostly at the bottom right corner of a classic Photoshop interface. If you can see it, notice that each time you click on any individual layer, either containing a text, shape etc, it automatically selects the object, shape or text in question. From there you can move the item within or onto another layer.

Take note, layers are stacked on each other, so the layer item at the top most part of the layer panel sits above other items or layers below.

Sometimes it happens when there are complex blending modes (or blend if settings). I don't know why really. Sometimes merging all the layers can help (but also can destroy the effect)

From what I have done so far, I think I got a rough idea of how I would go about producing my comic
I work within the constraints of the typical comic, planning my pages and paneling ahead of time
I work with anything that I see fitting, e.g. Artboards or regular files, when designing single pages, and design wide illustrations on a wider file with the correct guides
... Don't think there's any more to it - besides the color profiles and the issue with printing. I don't know what settings are best to this day

It greatly depends on your printer. Each printer will have settings to ensure best results, and while it's OK to covert after the fact, it's always best to start with the right colour profile and have a system of proof checking (get the printer profile, load them into Photoshop and simulate the printing render)

it also helps if your screen is properly calibrated

To Pen Tool Gurus: in the past week (after last 2 updates), have trouble with pen tool... hey @summer minnow , sorry to disturb but i just wanted to know where i can ask for help. i kinda need a favour from someone because i dont own photoshop, im kind of broke, and im most probably young to pay for apps and stuff 😂
I am working on a project that involves game assets, those assets arent stolen, they were given to me by a dev of the game, i really love them and i want to make fan art, so these assets are called "orbs" and they have a crystal sphere, spirit essence inside them that floats with a charm, what i need help with is to remove the essence (its red ish orange as u see in the picture), and the charm as well (which is a snowflake), and just have a background alone of the crystal sphere only, it would look somwhat like the second picture, minus the question mark and essence. i really just need this tiny favour and i dont know who or where to ask, as far as i know, ps is the only app that has the ability to do this kind of stuff.

i also made a few fanmade orbs, the first picture is the official orb, then i used cutout.pro's "remove unwanted objects with ai" feature, which looks kind of messy, but i covered it up with the charm

ive tried using it for what i wanted but it doesnt work very well

im also completely new to this stuff

this is another picture, its also transparent but its on a different background and is merged altogether, the picture is very old too which is why a dev said it couldnt be found, but ps has a feature where it can remove the background of transparent objects too, no?

a friend previously helped me remove the transparent layer from the merged background but it was quite messy, this took like a few days on a trial

You can remove bg with ps

A lot depends on quality of picture

Also you can use gimp or krita to remove bg if you are not able to pay for PS, you will find most of functions there and you can transfer knowledge lesrned from those apps to PS later

Transparent layer is probably some color with gradient mask and visibilty reduced to 10-20%

I need some help opening a .raw file, it only opens on photoshop and no other app, I'm currently on my phone and I don't have my PC for another couple of hours, the files which I can't access are .raw files and they are game files and sprites that contain assets, I've uploaded them to a Google Drive, can a kind heart please help out by converting them into pngs? I've tried every online website that converts an abundant amount of .raw formats but they all say format not supported.
