When ever you cut out something and it had a white outline, just go to the select on top left of the screen. then click modify, then Contract. after that, a panel will open up that will let you Contract between 1 to 200 pixels? I don't exactly know. but it will make it look better with gradation, Masks, filters, shadow and lighting. All those kind of stuff

That sounds like the smallest MacBok Air in the Range. That would probably work, but 8GB RAM is very low. you may not be able to load as much Images/open layers/running actions, etc. fast then a little better machine.

I would suggest some machine with 16GB RAM or more. The HDD/SSD Space is secondary, because its mostly Data like, Images, etc. that can fit on an external Drive, USB Stick, NAS, etc.

That depends on the amount of Data that you will use. Some only have 100 Pics that they made from Internet Images, some do photoshootings all day long. Between that there is a wide range. So you should choose whats best for you and your work.

I only can speak for myself. I do Photoshoots also for magazines, etc. so I need my photos stored and backuped over a long time and I can not afford to loose stuff from 2-3years ago. So I have several NAS plus backup Systems and around 50TB an Storage. BUT that must not be the same for your environment.

To size that you should look how many Projects you have or what are you planing to do. That Storage-Space times 2 or 3 may be a Startingpoint.

So, I assume you will have at least Illustrator and Photoshop on your machine. Plus maybe Adobe Express, Adobe Firefly, etc. Online but th also generate some Output. Most of that will maybe stord in the CreativeCloud so no worries there.

One issue I'm struggling with is the fact that I cannot edit certain texts without having to delete part of the design and create my own textbars.. I'll add a screenshot for reference..

You want to import an Adobe Illustrator (.ai) File in Photoshop?! This basically works, but errors can occur during the conversion if, for example, you don't have the right font or the font is displayed as vectors.

I'm not sure what Librarys you are refering to, but there are differences in the Filreformats and for what Programms what Librarys/Templates are made for. Many Apps can handle many Formats, but not all.

My guess is that you're importing an Illustrator file (no idea what version of Ai it was made with) and Photoshop doesn't know how to interpret certain objects in the file.

Thus, its just converting each character in the file to vector shapes.

Or perhaps, the author of the .ai file converted all of the fonts to outlines. Any number of scenarios might be possible.

I thnk he's talking about the fact that it's a photocopy or poor regeneration of the logo thus producing the "white" pixels inside the orange - it's a mess. Needs a complete redo. I would recommend importing into Illustrator, tracing it, and rebuilding it properly.... but that's just me...

What I've started doing, because I feel the same way you do, is to use pure simple Ruby (Python's successor) with https://github.com/danini-the-panini/mittsu. Combined this with a set of "pre-defined parameter files" also in Ruby.

Little steeper learing curve but definitely worth it!

Me personally I would use Illustrator for that task, but in Photoshop you would no draw all those pieces. I would begin from the middle piece (gradient) and build up the Rectangles as layers.

Realistically if you try and scale it up, either using photoshop, illustrator or something like UpScayl, it will not be as clean and crisp as the original.

the way i do is use rectangle too with rounded edges, somwhere on the top right there is a box where you can enter the amount of smoothening u want to use, enter the value and draw a rectangle
bring the original image up, hover between this later and the reactangle layer, press ALT and click roughly between them

a rectangular mask will be applied and you will have rounded edges on the original image

layers is usualy on the right hand side depending on your window set up, click the object you want to select with the lasso too (the layer that this is on will light up in the layer menu)

hello there folks, don't know if I'm in the right place, although I'm working with PS on the daily basis but I've encountered an ugly issue with Adobe scanning app - I need to scan my doc with my stamp and signature on it and when I do some of the stamp and signature lines gets erased/fades away to a barely visible state? Is there a way to scan without losing quality/important details?

not sure how your process is, but you also can photograph your signature and stamp seperatly and put it in the PS File as you like.

there is no automated way of doing this is photoshop

i would reccomend this approach

simply some masks and 2 circles

or you can use figma
