Hi, with which part of the edit are you struggling with? Does the eyes have the same size, orientation and lighting?
Is the issue the transition to the sclera (the white) You could try to select part of the sclera, and fade it with a layer mask.
If the issue is the top eyelid, try to make a selection of it, and "Jump" (CTRL+J PC, CMD+J Mac) it on a new layer on top.

Why is it so had to add an image on top of a video in Adobe Express? I remember having done it once before, but now, I've been struggling for hours.

I add the video, then I add the image on top and the video disappears despite being transparent and it's just so frustrating.

I literally worship Adobe Animate I think it's the best vector drawing program in the world. It and Ableton Live is the only reason I use Windows.

But this Adobe Express thing, well it's definitely made by some other people.

I think the easiest would be to just use IG but you sacrifice control. I'd probably do it with Premiere over Ps. You have more control over the timeline and transitions. Ae would give you greatest level of control but its a more complex workflow.

You can add a step in your action that automatically renames Layer 0 to layer 1 ( and while you're at it, you can create a step that turns the layer into an editable layer from "background" to "layer 0")
To add to an action, just click on the action folder, record the steps as if you were creating a new one, but instead of creating a new action, it will record the steps at the end of the actions steps. Once done, stop the recording and take your steps one by one and drag and drop them where they belong in the action>
1st: turn the BG layer into a standard layer (the double click)
2nd: rename Layer 0 into layer 1

You can use the file> automate>batch if you want to run actions on whole folders. That way you can create a folder for your standard transparent PNG (without the first 2 steps of the action) and another folder for the indexed images (with the first two steps)

Duplicate the actions and make one for the first case and one for the secong case, and wtach Photoshop do its thing while you dring a coffee (other beverages are available)

I don't think adding an animated gif in a timeline works for what are trying to achieve. But you definitely can open an animated gif in photoshop and edit it in photoshop but you will have to edit each frame one by one.
What's the type of timeline you are trying to place the gif on? Video Timeline or Frame animation Timeline?

I've done it many times though it can be tedious if you have a lot of frames.
Open GIF in Photoshop
Window > Timeline if timeline isn't already open
It will default to Frame Animation (w/option to Convert to Video Timeline available in Timeline panel menu).
Frames will appear as layers in layers panel -and- Frames in Timeline... Edit as needed

PSDs don't have password lock feature. You could use locked zips/rars or any other folder/file locking software

There also is Photoshop PDF that uses PDF password functionality

I am seeking guidance on how to automate a specific workflow in Photoshop. Since it's been a while since I last used the software extensively, I am open to doing some reading or taking courses to learn the necessary skills.

Here's a summary of the tasks I need to automate:

Take 4-6 images and perform the following operations:
Clean up
Tile
Scale down
Ensure they meet certain height, width, and dpi specifications
Zip these images.
Create a display for the images by arranging them in a 2100x1500 px 2x6 grid, with a watermark and a brief description.
Bundle the zipped images and the display image into a folder.
While I am familiar with the manual process for most of these tasks, I am not well-versed in automating the process or creating a reusable 2x6 grid.

Any guidance or resources that can help me achieve this automation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
