Hello people, I just downloaded Photoshop on my new laptop and I have this issue.

Technically it will "run" Photoshop. But will it perform well... that is the question.

Because my old PC from 2016 which has a gc a 730 it could run properly without issues

You can try to disable the Native Canvas so it uses OpenGL to do realtime rendering. Some people have good luck with that.

Like I have some idea how they did it too, but I don't know exactly how to do it. 😅

100% there is a basic black layer with some noise/texture
Then some picture of the aurora borealis, where they just took out the aurora.
And on that aurora they applied some effect (Halftone)
Then they picked up the font, wrote the word, used something to destroy it slightly. The same for every character, and then they applied a different effect (vintage, glitchy, halftone).

Light correction can be done in photoshop without any problem

Lightroom is more like easy version of photoshop dedicated to deal with lights and color stuff.

Photoshop can do everything which can be done in Lightroom but Lightroom can't do everything which photosho provides.

Think of lightroom like mini version of it for making things simple and easy to use as well as effective.

@river furnace , Asking for personal opionion.What programs would you advice to learn. So far, I know Photoshop , Davinci Resolve and After effects ( have not done any Big project with it yet.)
I create things in Photoshop, then import to After effects and animate them. Later it I use Davinci as video editor.
But recently, I'm mostly feeling at the end. I find nothing new to do with PS, since creativity is limit and I don't feel that much motivation.
I can think of Illustrator but are there any other programs you think would worth learning?

You can search "long exposure photography" on Youtube to learn more about it and how you can do it.

Photoshop and After Effects are such massive apps with so many features and so much potential, I find it difficult to believe that you're "at the end" of anything. It sounds like you just lack inspiration for projects to work on. Learning more apps is great because its another set of tools in the toolbox. But these apps are so feature-rich, you could easily spend the rest of your life mastering them.

I can think of Blender if I want to go into 3D and illustrator if I wish to animate shapes

I think which apps you need will be defined by what is necessary to complete a particular project.

I've tried Blender for getting renders, but it seems entirely new world of possibilities which I think is Too much one person can against seeing how much work it requires.

Photoshop and Illustrator are the main ones to master first. Then After Effects, Premiere for video work. But there is also Animate and Character Animator; those apps have a lot of potential for designing and building cool animations.

I think you should envision what project you want to work on and then figure out which tools you need to fulfill the needs of that project. If its Blender to model/texture/animate 3D scenes, then learn that.

But try to come up with a narrative. A good story. A logical flow.

So I'm lacking 'knowing something but without working for it'.

I try to create a full story animation, and turn into video.
Then very soon, I give up with it.
i create a small clip of it.

I try to escape hard parts, and make it work the easy way. Or entirely skip it.

I think Lightroom is designed to be more an "end-to-end" self-contained system. Like open the Lightroom Camera. Take pics. Edit on the phone. Store in the catalog. Continue editing on iPad, desktop, etc.

I'm no Lightroom expert. I'm primarily a Photoshop User. From what I understand, LR is designed to be more an "end-to-end" photo-capture, cataloging and editing system. A common workflow is to use Lightroom Camera on your phone/tablet. Take pics. Import pics into the catalog. Edit pics. Then continue working on any platform/device, e.g. web, iPad, desktop app, etc.

Its designed for a more "seamless" user-experience.

You can read about it on the Adobe site. I'm probably leaving a few things out.

You can use Image > Canvas Size to change the aspect ratio. But keep in mind, depending on the anchor/alignment you choose, you might have to edit and reposition some of the layers in your document.

If its just one layer, you can also "Crop" the image to a certain aspect ratio. I guess it depends on the image.

In the meantime, I think there are various tools that you can use for free. Particularly some of the web and mobile apps. Create an Adobe Account and check it out. I think you can use Adobe Express. Photoshop Express. A few others.

I have found a few brushes that were promising, but overall didn't have the effect I wanted--I think the effects is where I need to mess around with it a bit. I'll have to do some experimenting! But if you see any good foliage brushes lmk; I'll add them to my testing too xD

Um, a bit, but to be honest, it's just picking stuff that you want to do... and then figure it out watching by watching youtube clips and following along. - You end up learning a bunch of random bits, which you can then combine together later on...

I wanted to try changing the colour of someones top, so I learned and found out about hue/saturation, masks
I wanted to try changing the colour of a different more complicated thing, like a car, - so I learned about gradient maps etc, etc

In all honesty, my photoshop work is for quite boring corporate stuff and things for retail. It's never anything exciting.
It's putting 50 different borders on 50 different rugs to allow a carpet client to make 2,500 different product variations
Making walls different colours for a paint company
Making shower trays different colours and sizes for a bathing company
removing creases and changing colours of clothes for a clothing company
swapping out headlights, grills, wheel trims for luxury car companies because they need to send adverts to national press, and their latest products aren't built yet
