I think you can apply independant gradients in Adobe Illustrator.

Technically you could add a manual gradient that 'repeats' e.g. red > orange > Red > Orange

Make a copy of the Background image> Make it a smart object> Filter/Filter Gallery/Field Bur (5px).
Load the Arms+Flowers selection by Ctrl+Click on the layer mask.
With the selection active, click on the smart object thumbnail in layers panel> Alt+Click on the "make a layer mask icon" to create a layer mask that reveal only the background image.
Click on the new layer mask created and apply Filter/Other/Minimum (3px) to soften the transition.
Finally you can apply a curve effect to darken a bit the background and add focus on Arms+Flowers.

1. Convert the new layer into a Smart Object (Right-click > Convert to Smart Object).
2. Hold Alt (Windows) or Option (Mac) and drag the Smart Filters from the old Smart Object to the new one.
   • This duplicates the filters without affecting the original.

Or Right-click the “Smart Filters” section under the layer.
Choose “Copy Smart Filters”.

or Drag that Smart Object Layer onto the new image’s tab, then drop it onto the canvas.

To add what @grizzled spade said, if you want to apply on a new image in an different file> With the move tool (V) drag the smart object with filters from its own canvas to the new file then use the technique explained by Devansh to duplicate the filters...
Unfortunately there's no "Copy Smart Filters" function in photoshop.
Last thing some filters (like liquify) are resolution dependants so your second image should have the same pixel dimansion if you want to avoid weird result.

I would suggest that you create a mask on the bow layer, and then either paint around (in black) with a very soft, low opacity brush to remove those sharp edges

or paint a sharp mask, and apply a feather (in the properties panel) to that mask

Basically you want the edges to be soft

First of all you'll need to match contrast and colors of the two images... Hard to show with image so I made a rectangular selection of the layer below.
Once the two forest match you<ll just have to mask with a soft brush the layer of the castle to get a smooth transition.

Every time you save the JPEG, there is a possibility that you introduce compression artifacts, as its trying to combine blocks of like color. This manifests as that "blotchiness" in the image that you see from heavily compressed JPEGs. Perhaps you won't notice anything. The possibility is always there when you're editing JPEGs and opening/saving, etc.

Work from a high quality source file and export to JPEG or take your chances with quality loss.

You will not specifically reduce fat per se, but if you go to "filter > liquify" you will be able to reshape the image, so in the case, your shirt.
It takes a bit of trial and error because you need to be somewhat precise and only reshape the shirt and not touch so much the surroundings. so best done on a duplicate layer, later masked.

Hello everyone, It's my first time here and I'm a complete noobie when it comes to Photoshop. I was trying to figure out if it was possible to put a product image into a ai generated background. For example the following 2 images. I've already figured out a way to remove the black sunglasses in the AI generated image. But when selecting the sunglasses from the other image (and removing all the background) it still looks weird. It's a very light perspective you can try without... Your brain will say you if it's correct or not but you definitevly need to add cast shadow.

Its only going to trim off completely transparent pixels. Your image has some sort of glow or drop shadow applied. It's faint but you can see it pushing out toward the edges. Trim won't "trim" that off.

It appears you just made a selection and filled it with black. You'll either have to paint on that layer to smooth out the edges. ..or.. you could also make a selection and convert it to vector path and then adjust the anchor points.

Hi, you can click on the mask you want to change and fill the selection with black. You might convert the selection to a mask, by adding a new adjustment layer, then using this mask to replace another one.

I do have one more question. I was trying to select multiple shapes with the pen tool to make 4 distinct selections at once, then creating a separate layers for those selections so that I could hide text behind the new layer.

I did not actually want to make a mask, just a selection I could hide text behind.

I could not figure out how to do this. The only thing I could do was mask the selection. Not actually create a new layer.

Additionally a lot of the pixels disappeared around and in between my penned shapes.

This is all probably the pen tool’s fault, if I had just done one selection at a time it would be fine.

For future reference, is there a way to make multiple selections with the pen tool at once?

I would just draw some shapes with the Pen. Convert to a Smart Object and apply a Blur Filter. Probably reduce the Opacity. Something like this...

There are probably other things you can do but I would start there.

Continue drawing your light rays, add a an Outer Glow Layer Style to the character and you should be well on your way to recreating that same effect.

Select > Color Range... maybe. With the selection active, add a Solid Color Fill perhaps. Then modify that. Your original image isn't impacted at all.

Seems like Photoshop isn't properly reading the alpha channel for some reason. Use Windows Photos to save out a PNG and try loading that into Photoshop.
