I am Jan Franco, UI Artist & Graphic Designer. I just finished my (Ba Hons) Computer Arts at Abertay University. I love the adobe suite, and I use it a lot in all of my projects. My favourite one is Illustrator and InDesign. I am also experimenting with XD, which I found a beneficial tool for rapid prototyping and sketch ideas.

Hi everyone! This is my 6th PSDCC! Yay! To introduce myself: I'm a fine artist: ceramics and painting/drawing but I have worked many day jobs in advertising and publishing over the last 45 years, I mainly use the Adobe mobile to desktop workflow for sketching and prototyping. Also to create the various image maps for my 3D work in Blender. My current project is putting together a mobile digital studio for traveling; sketching and photographing en plein air during the day and processing at night back at the hotel. Then it all comes home to my studio and desktop. Currently I have an iPad Pro mounted on a tripod and a Surface with wireless keyboard and mouse for running PS and Blender on the go.

Saying Hi, friends. I'm an oddball. I'm a 54 year old, white male who does graphics design for a non-profit. I'm their Director of IT as well (my historic profession). I do oil painting as hobby (find me on Facebook. Artist Robert P. Britton Jr.). As a kid, I wanted to be a comic book artist. My dad convinced me to get a "real job" instead, so I joined the Navy and have been in Information Technology for nearly 30 years now. The place I am at today needed someone to help with technology and with graphics design. So I spend much of my day doing both: Managing servers and infrastructure, doing web development, and doing graphics design. I'd love to switch completely into Graphics Design. Been doing some cool design work for this employer. But as I started off in saying...no one wants a 50+ white male on the payroll today....esp. in Graphics Design. I recently had a young millenial say how sorry he felt for me. He sees what I am able to do (in both IT and Graphics Design) and knows how hard it is for older people today to get hired. Anyways, if I could wave a magic wand, I'd make the complete transition as a full time graphics designer and leave the IT world behind. I love creating, designing. I do lots of traditional publications like post cards, mailers, letters, brochures, books, guides. Heck...even tchotskies like magnets, t-shirts, hats, patches. Occassionally, I get to work on using my comic-book passions to infuse some of our books with manga comic style works for the young boys in our customer base. Lots of cool and fun things! These Daily Challenges are a fun snack. I've learned to use a few techniques or tools I don't typically use in my daily workflow. And I've gotten to see some great creations being made by the variety of participants here. Looking forward to this new DC series. Thanks for listining to a bit of my story.
