Challenge 9. I found doing the pattern seriously difficult. Also, it appears that warping blurs the crisp look of the pattern. Did I do something wrong? This T-Shirt took me forever. Thanks for the opportunity to learn this technique!
Challenge 9 Re-Do. In my previous attempt, I forgot to make my Pattern layer a Smart Object. Oops. Once I did that, the blurriness went away. Plus it was much easier to Warp! Yeah!
Finished challenge five! I really enjoyed using camera raw on this image. I love how crisp and clear you can make an image. I used the vignette slightly around the corners because I like the effect it has on an image.
Redo of Challenge 7, light added to face, arm and hip and some blue to hair from the moon.
@hidden pendant Much better, Trish. Only thing I can say now is that the palm of her right hand needs light from the flame as well, and that the lighting on her face doesn't conform to the lines of her face. Did you do an oval selection and fill with a gradient and set to burn or something like that? Sorry if I am sounding pompous, not my intent.
Challenge 7 Super-Hero Composite Photo by @actionvance - unsplash.com
Falling a little behind here. Only on Challenge 6. This one was a little hard to follow. Had to go back and watch segments of the video multiple times. I struggled with getting the different segments - mouth, nose, and eyes, to blend with the background image. I understand @lethal mural had to rush because he was running out of time. This led to a few mistakes that were confusing. Maybe try not spending as much time with the intro/welcome. You were already 7 minutes into the video before you started the actual lesson.
@fringe mirage I think you did really well! I'm currently in the middle of doing this one and yeah, it looks tricky.
@alpine nexus Thanks!

Last #✂challenges-feedback from Friday. Didn't know about the pattern feature! Very cool. Thanks again 🙂
used the lessons learnt and turned my work into my logo going forward. CC welcome.
Pattern feature is super cool! Thanks a lot. I will try to do it better.
Thanks a lot @lethal mural . You are super great.

Hello Everyone
Thank you @jolly quest we are ready
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @jolly quest
My challenge 6 face mashup! I loved the eyes and mustache the most so I decided to just do those two. This challenge was pretty tricky. But I'm going to keep working at it with some other images and see what I come up with
Hello world!
Hi everybody
My cover for the new DCC Challenges with @jolly quest
When does the video post so I can watch it again and this time follow along
@rapid silo Hello, welcome!
want able to use glyphs unfortunalty, nothing show up in the letter box for some reason
But ill make sure to come tommorow and grind it all out
I'm lost! What's the challenge for today?
Hi Everyone, I am in Uk and got on at 5pm GMT to start but, was unable to follow, can I catch up using the challenge link. I.e. restart... thanks for your patience
@misty lantern sure, that's what I do when I miss a live stream 🙂 On Behance there are links to older challenges even from months back, here's the link: https://www.behance.net/dailycreativechallenge
I dont know why but I wanted to make my fire blue. Any tipps for improvment
where do we get the braton composer font? It doesn't show up in my version of Photoshop CC. Thanks,

@light nebula can't wait to see the project fill out as the challenge progresses!
where do we get the braton composer font? It doesn't show up in my version of Photoshop CC. Thanks,
@grizzled sonnet So my question is this, i've downloaded the font and all of the glyphs are empty (i.e., just blank squares). I am not trying to copy was @jolly quest exactly, but sometimes I like to go through the motions to make sure I at least understand the concept. Am i missing something here?
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @grizzled sonnet
@supple canopy I really enjoy how you created your own custom wordmark for "Daily Creative Challenge"! I'm super interested to see how Val ties all of these challenges to a farming simulator 😄
@eternal mica looks nice! The text near the bottom might be slightly difficult to read since it will be small at thumbnail size and it is on top of a light background.

DCC Project Cover
Photoshop Daily Creative Challenge Cover with Voodoo Val.
@true holly ha! i love the old panel truck. very clever idea for your cover image.
@worn yew that's EPIC! 1 note: for a thumbnail, the text may be too small to read,
@wise crypt very cool! I think the text has so much nice texture that you might even tone down the gradient of the background a little bit. Right now, the background and the text compete for attention a bit
@plain sable nice! what's the story with the turtle? 🙂 The turtle and the smaller text (esp "10th") become a little hard to read because of the darker values of the background behind them.
@winter tinsel nice job lightening the BG behind the words without making it too obvious. The texture is really nice, too! 1 note: the dates at the bottom blend into the BG just a little bit
Thanks for review @sterile bane

Thanks @sterile bane I added some shading too

@mighty linden Pattern is looking solid for Challenge 9! Nicely done.
@raven condor Ooh, very cool, this is a photo you took? Really interested to see this applied to a shirt design, the colors of the trees around the top work really well I think. Really nice work!
@unkempt field Pattern is looking good! Nice work on the masking as well. If you wanted to push it further I think it would really help to get those shadow and lighting effects onto the design to sell the effect and make it look a little less flat. Nice job!
@sullen hollow Very nice work! The pattern as well as the lighting is looking really good and makes the whole thing look really natural. I like how the design has a bit of variation between big and small shapes. Gives the whole thing a nice balance!
Thanks for the feedback @bleak fossil I will work on those adjustments.

I did another 8. This was a great challenge. Thant you Jesus.
@mighty linden Ooh, nice job, you went all out with these different elements! Really liking the background and extra flames. I have one suggestion which is quite minor, but I think increasing the contrast in the face (specifically deepening the darks) would help strengthen it as a focal point. Right now the deep darks of the shorts almost seem to overpower the contrast of the face a bit. Shifting those two elements might draw the eye up into the face a bit more, just a thought. Really nice work with everything!
@bitter cradle Ooh, I like how you combined the design with a background that seems to fit it stylistically. My only thought is that the value and color of the design seems very similar to the background, though I think the blur definitely helps! Perhaps making it darker, or even separating the color temperature could help a bit? Just a thought, really cool pattern!
@modern halo Looking good Willi! I really like how well this design stands out from the simplicity of the blurred background. It really lets the pattern shine, nice job!
@young karma Ooh, very cool! Kind of looks like he has some sort of icey power or something, makes me think of Sub Zero from Mortal Kombat, hah. If you wanted to push that feeling it could be a nice touch to put a cooling photo filter adjustment layer over the image or even use something like a screen layer to cast a blueish glow on the areas of his body near the flames. Just some ideas. Really great effect!
@alpine nexus You did a great job with the Day 6 challenge! These can definitely be tricky but all these blends look really natural! I really like how the eyes, mouth, and shape of the jaw all kind of make a triangular shape. Really nice work!
@young karma Really nice work on the magazine cover and shirt pattern challenge! The pattern is looking really solid and the lighting and folds from the image come through great. Really makes the shirt design look believable! Nicely done :D
I like the smoke effect on the fire challenge too! Though it could help to mask it off a little around the torso and face to keep that contrast from being washed out since you loose a bit of the deeper darks in those key areas.
@uncut grove Very nice! The shirt pattern is looking really nice! I definitely think the more of these you do the better you get at it all. Really liking the color scheme on this design! The lighting on the pattern is looking pretty solid too, though I think the shadows in the folds on the right side might be a bit too dark. They look a little unnaturally dark for how a blue shirt would look in that lighting I think. Nice work with this!
@gilded blaze Very cool Krissy! I think it’s always great practice to use techniques learned in challenges to create a personal piece. If you’re going for a logo I think it might help to make the tripod under the camera a bit more thick and graphic like the rest of the camera to fit stylistically with the rest of the image and also read a bit more strongly at a glance. Looks good!
@young karma Yeah, it’a really great to see how versatile the pattern feature is for coming up with some really unique designs. this design is looking really cool! Almost kind of has hints of a floral pattern or tie dye look at the same time, hah. Works really well on that background too!
@silver crest Challenge 8 is looking really nice! The double exposure and color contrast is working well. Looks good!
@bitter cradle The double exposure challenge is looking good! I really like the blend between these two images, it gives it a sort of dream-like quality. The warm color in her face is a nice touch of contrast too. The only thing is I feel like the contrast between the shapes and the white background could be a bit stronger. A lot of the images around the edges are really light so I feel like the read of the whole thing isn’t as strong as it could be. Same with the text I think, the contrast isn’t quite as much as it could be which makes it hard to read at a glance. I think some levels adjustments to increase the contrast and tweaking of that sort of thing could help you separate the values a bit. Perhaps even lightening the bottom a touch with a gradient and darkening the text could do the same thing. Just some ideas! Looks great!
@silver crest Ooh, very cool, I’m liking the effects on challenge 7! The red cast of the whole image is looking really solid to tie the lighting together. I do feel like the flames look a little unnatural since they seem like they’ve been tweaked to almost just be the red and yellow solid colors without a lot of the in between gradients. It might help to overlay another flame image that has flames that look a bit more realistic. I don’t think you need to get rid of the current ones because they look pretty cool, but adding in a certain amount of another image might help blend them together a bit to give it a slightly less stylized look if that makes sense. I like the spark effects too, nice job!
@woven patrol Really nice work combining these different elements together for challenge 6! I think the blending is looking really solid, the only thing I’d say would maybe be to darken the nose area and lighten the mouth area just a touch. They look like they have slightly different lighting and those tweaks might bring them together with the rest of the face a bit more. Really nicely done!
@quaint badger Really nice job with the dog image! Masking off fuzzy edges like that can be really tricky, and the shadow and lighting is working really well! If anything I think the top left area of the shadow could be softened up a bit, the edge looks kind of crisp, I think if you faded it off just a bit in that area it would look pretty natural. Nice work with this one!
@fringe mirage Challenge 6 is looking good! These elements seem to find together quite seamlessly. I think the main technique for that challenge gets a ton of the job done, but after that I think it’s the usual techniques you see in retouching and general compositing adjustments to really touch up anything else that may not quite be perfect. But this turned out really nice!
@spiral apex Ooh, this pattern is looking really good, I like the contrast between the bigger shapes and bright vs dark colors. Really nice working it onto the photo and getting the lighting down too, looks very natural!
@bleak fossil thanks so much. I will thicken the legs on the tripod.

Had a lot of fun with challenge 7! So much so that I made two versions. I made this version in color
Played around with the 3D option in photoshop
And then I also made this version in black and white. Don't know which one I like more though!
@alpine nexus I like both
@young karma Thanks!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @sleek gulch
@alpine nexus I really love the green fire. Especially because green is my favourite colour
@young karma Nice! Yeah I was going to go with red but I thought green would be a unique color choice. Now that I look at it, he looks more villainous than heroic lol
@alpine nexus I didnt saw that but now as you that you say so.. Still think it looks really cool
First time I tried to work with the 3D thing in Photoshop
@young karma I love those colors! It reminds me of the previous challenge with Kladi where we created the dreamland ad
Please mentor @ Kladi Printmysoul and my fellow frnds give your feedback on my project.
@sterile bane, thanks for the comment. I appreciate all the comments i get.

didn't know we were supposed to share the cover. I used glyphs and then instead of texture and clipping masks, the texture is a pattern built into FX
hi everyone. I'm new to discord and photoshop and have no idea where to find the challenge and how to use this app =\
Is the new challenge already online?
@young karma I don't see it yet
Here’s my revised Photoshop DCC cover. Thank you @sterile bane for the suggestion! I used a darker color for the dates to help them stand out more but still working with the texture.

Quick @buoyant nova
@crystal aurora Help. I can't seem to get PS to resolve the monster whatever font. I got one layer to do it - manually but no matter how many times I choose the font from the drop down list, it tells me it is going to substitute. I hope you will explain how to use the Adobe fonts because i have a mess. I also have TONS of Japanese ones I can't get rid of but when I go to "my fonts" it doesn't show I have any - let alone any Japanese ones. So lost. This is why I only buy and use my own. I don't get Adobe fonts.
Ok, NOW it says it is in the right font. I really don't get this. I must be missing something because this was extremely difficult and took a lot of time.
@young karma @alpine nexus to get the challenge starter file go up to the top on the left where it says announcements/read only. Then go to creative-challenge. For some reason with the last one and this one they are not posting the link until 8am. With @agile ruin the link was posted hours in advance. I really don't like getting it so late.
Here is my Challenge 1 entry!
Right! I love it. Simple, but eye-catching still.
What Font did you use?
Hey @hasty siren, I found the font. It's Braton Composer. There is a free for personal use version but it unfortunately does not have all of the fun swashes that VooDoo Val used
Where did you find it and thank you for finding it for me.
I'd be interested in Sig's question about how to get rid of all those Japanese fonts that I won't use.
@jolly quest Can you post the link to today's video lesson? I see the entry for today, but not the link to the video. Thanks

Photoshop DCC #1 Farmers Market Flyer.
Hi, everyone! Here's my challenge 1 😀
Hi folks - complete newbie to all of this. Trying today's challenge (voodoo valley) but the montserrat font can't be resolved. Any advice?
I must have done something wrong back in the grouping part because the paint bucket tool at the end would not work. I had to create a new fill layer and color the text that way. And I still had white around a few of the objects so I couldn't put a background in. I think these challenges may be too fast and advanced for me...took me forever how to figure out how to highlight existing text without creating a new layer, and that the ALT key doesn't exist on a Mac keyboard! I had to keep stopping the video and google how to do the steps because they were passed over too quickly for me. So I had better find a more basic class. Thanks anyway for letting me try the challenge.
Day 0: Making the cover for a farming themed challenge
Challenge 1
Day 1 challenge
So dose yours
hello all - it's been ages! at the moment i am stuck at home, trying to homeschool the kids ... aargh! had to start baking sourdough bread (no yeast left in shops), planted seedlings for veg and got a couple of ducks for eggs. yes, a farming rpg theme is just what i need to keep sane!! thanks @crystal aurora can't miss one of your challenges ... hope you are all well
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @crystal aurora
@bleak fossil Thank you for the critiques, I definatly agree with you on both. On the pattern one I also tried it with the original background and it looks much better, less busy and easier to distingish the two. I might try your suggestions as well to see if I can make the graffiti one work better. On the book cover I was having some trouble with it being too light and not having enough contrast. I would like to play around with it more to see if I can figure out how to make it pop.

Day 1 Layers. Hop on down to Old MacDonold's Farm.
My take on it.
This is pretty boring, but it took me all day. I'm VERY new to Photoshop and I clearly have lots to learn! 😀
Here is my Challenge #1!
Here's my take on Challenge #1
Hello.
DCC Challange #1: I decided to go a bit grundgy with mine, because.... why not.
My day 1 entry in the Photoshop challenge.
This is my first one of these, it took me 3 tries and I only came up with this simple thing but I'm out of time for today
Challenge 1
Day 1 Flyer: I'm still looking for an Adobe font that has all the wonderful glyphs as Braton Composer demonstrated yesterday. I'm hesitant downloading from unknown sites. I ended up using Origins font. The texture is from the Flypaper Taster Pack via Adobe Paper Texture Pro. I used shapes (modified), paths and brushes to create the field and radishes.
Hello everyone! Here is my challenge #1 😊

Challege n.1
Wow, @remote patrol! Impressive!
ty 🙂
I'm not 100% sold on the logo, and the image clashes a bit (very busy) so I'm working on others. Crit freely welcomed. 🙂
It's been awhile. Glad to be back.
@remote patrol It is a little busy, but I like the colors and the theme is spot-on. You really don't like the logo? Because I think you replicated Voodoo's very well.
@forest aspen 1001fonts.com is a place I got to find useful fonts. Or Google fonts.
@hearty mango I think it's more the color choices that I'm having issues with. It matches the poster and has that "down home" feel, but there is something about it that seems jarring? But thank you 🙂

@somber crow Is that texture the stuff that some playgrounds have as substrate? That's pretty cool!
Thanks! That's what it reminds me of! I used a sparkly texture stock image and played around with blend modes.
hi im new member my first challenge photoshop with you
@somber crow It reminds me of dichondra, which is a type of grass grown where you don't want regular bladed grass. There was lots of it where I was growing up in SoCal. The color is gorgeous.

Challenge 1 - Here is what I have so far. I want to work with it more to get more of the look I'm wanting.
First time messing with PS. Thanks for the push.
Day 1. Took way longer than I thought it would!
this is what i came up with!!!

This is my final result for the Challenge 1.
The photo is taken by me before some years, so it was super exciting for me to try and transform for this challenge.
This is the first time i follow an Adobe Daily Creative Challenge, so be kind to my judging 😍
Went back to basics on the Intro after following along a bit slower on the video. Now to catch up on todays challenge 🙂

@unreal adder I like 2nd one but I might try to lower the opacity of the font just a tad so the lake colors come through
@young karma Nice font choice
@sno.e might look cool if you lowered the opacity so the wood grain showed through or used a blend mode?
challenge day 1. I am submitting it again since I forgot to clean up some things
Finally had time to finish. Only the texture layer is from "outside", I tried to keep to the simple shapes, etc. It is what it is.
1st challenge.
PSDCC #1 Layers
@bright sage Woo! Welcome in, glad you joined us. This is looking cool! The text styling is looking really nice and I like the texture you added in the background too. Really nice work!
@quiet gyro Solid work Rachel! I really love the simple color scheme. Really great contrast in both texture and color, it makes everything read nicely. Very nice design!
@safe mauve Awesome, welcome on in, glad to have you! Nice work on the house and tree graphics, the stroke around all those elements gives it a nice cohesive look. Looking good 😄
@long olive Very cool! Replaying and pausing after each step can definitely help you catch everything. This cover image looks really nice! Darkening down the blue for the “Photoshop” text and making the black text a dark blue color might help unify the style of the whole thing a bit more. Just a thought. Nice work!
@sonic bobcat That’s great, welcome on in! Glad you could join us for these challenges. This is looking really nice, I love how you repeated the colors from the background image in the text, really gives it a nice cohesive look! I feel like you could probably scale up the whole text/graphic element a bit to make it a bit more prominent overall. Looks good!
😇
@lavish whale Liking this sort of pastel earthy color palette! It seems to fit the theme nicely. Nice use of texture on this too. The text contrasts nicely against the background, good job!
@shut trout Loving the style to this challenge! Really great colors and textures in this whole thing. My only suggestion is that I think the text seems like a very similar value to the background they’re on. The center text seems like it could possibly be brightened or something a bit more to separate it from the background a bit further, and perhaps the “challenge” text could be darkened. They have some hue contrast but separating the values a bit more might really help it pop. Just a thought, well done!
@fierce umbra Hah, sometimes it’s easy to spend all day just playing with different options and designs. I like the styling of this whole image! The texture adds a really nice element to the whole thing. Nice work!
@visual basin Awesome, welcome in! Glad you joined us for this challenge, these challenges are definitely a great way to pick up different techniques, tips, and tricks. You got a really interesting effect going on with the background and the stroke around the text really helps it stand out. Kind of feels like it could be a record cover or something. Nice work 😄
@bleak fossil Thanks for the tips, I will try out some adjustments ... is it possible to replace the image on the project on Behance afterwards?
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @bleak fossil
@long olive Yep! You should be able to edit the projects by adding or removing images
@bleak fossil Awesome! Appreciate all your help
Any time 😄
@hollow ridge Nice job, I like the color palette of this image, the colors all work quite nicely together. The sense of perspective on the text adds an interesting element as well. The aged looking texture really helps that farm theme too, looking good!
@bitter cradle Very nice! It always helps when you have a general idea in your head about the look you’re trying to accomplish. I feel like the background and graphic elements both have a really similar value and all the contrast is coming from the color difference. Maybe making the graphic elements darker to stand out against a lighter background might help the whole thing pop? But it might just depend on what you’re shooting for. Nicely done!
@tired bone Ooh, really loving the background gradient on this design! The colors are really giving the whole thing a bright upbeat feeling. Really nice compositional balance of graphic elements and color scheme in this design, looking good!
@polar heath Awesome work, the aged wood board background was a great choice for this theme. I really love the heavy texture on the graphic elements too. The background blues also give the whole design a nice warm/cool contrast. Welcome in by the way, glad you joined us!
@flat nymph Really nice, I don’t think I’ve seen any challenges using a photo background yet. This fits the design nicely! The contrast between the graphic text and sun and photo background gives it a really nice feel. Nice work on this design, and if you’re new to these challenges and community welcome in!
@heady stirrup Very nice, I’m looking forward to seeing challenges that take on this game theme. Really cool textures in this one! I feel like the contrast between the background and text isn’t quite as strong as it could be. I think the texture seems to fade the contrast out a bit in certain areas of the text, but I feel like shifting the background towards a different hue (maybe a bit warmer a little more towards the blue-green range) might help these element contrast more and pop the text out nicely. Though that just depends on the look you’re shooting for. Nice work!
@split wing Very cool, I like the sort of classic look of this design! The house and text style seem to fit nicely together. Nice use of overlapping shapes and elements within this too. I like what you did with blending the house into the trees, but it could be a really cool effect to find a tree image to bring into this design, select it so you get a clean silhouette and selection of the tree, and use that selection/shape to mask out the area of the house on the bottom left for a more natural tree type of shape and effect, if that makes sense. This looks good!
@bleak fossil thank you! I was trying to get the hue right but I was exhausted and was just done but I will revisit it tomorrow

Here is my challenge one entry
Here's my entry! Tried something out as its my first time working with photoshop
Here's mine!
PS Challenge Day 1! First time creating my own shapes.
@hollow ridge I love the the colors and opacity on the sprouts!
@polar heath How did you create the texture on the Voodoo Valley and landscape?
Think I might be the last one for the day, great job everyone! Bring it on day two...✌️
👍👍
Just looking to get some feedback ... Be gentle lol
@bleak fossil wow, thank you! i'm a video editor and aspiring illustrator, but this was my first attempt at any kind of graphic design so that's really encouraging. thanks again 🙂
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @bleak fossil
@long olive I really enjoy the gradient colors you chose for the background as well as your shapes, the only suggestion would be to use a different font. Papyrus just feels dated and your design feels more modern. Instead maybe try a really nice sans serif font like Filson Soft or another simular font. I really think the nice clean line work of this font would really complement your outlines on your design. I hope this helps 🙂
@bleak fossil Here is what my Challenge 1 looks like with more details and more on the path I was working towards. I wanted it to have depth and chose suttle colors to give it a calming relaxing feel.
I'm hoping this reads better and that the colors work well together. I was having some trouble picking the background color. I tried yellows because it worked better with purple but then I got a sickly vibe instead of healthy green veggies. I don't know if the purples work or not for a farm but was hoping I could go outside of the norm a little. Just not sure if it works...
There are still some problems, such as the size of the door frame, and I don't know how to modify it.
A bit late but glad that i did it! Color theory is definitely something i got to work on!
Stay safe everyone! Two fonts with coloured stroke, four layers including background.
@bleak fossil Tnx for your advice!!.. I will adjust it and repost it!!.. sometimes I feel like I know where the mistakes are but after hours in front of pc organising fixing and checking, it really make me exhausted!!
day1 challenge
First time joining one of these challenges. Had a blast representing my home state! Doing this was very therapeutic!

Hello Everyone, Here's my Day-01 challenge though I'm a bit late
Hey everyone - getting a late start!
You should definitely register that website by the way 😀 Thanks #VooDooVal for this amazing tutorial !
Can someone help me out please I have stalled at the start of the photoshop challenge ... trying to add a stroke to the text... but when i open the layer style panel and then click on the Stroke I do not get a change to the panel as in the video for the photoshop challenge one...
OMG the above are all stunning ... I understand now what it is to be a complete novice with this ...
Day 1
Can someone help me out please I have stalled at the start of the photoshop challenge ... trying to add a stroke to the text... but when i open the layer style panel and then click on the Stroke I do not get a change to the panel as in the video for the photoshop challenge one...
@golden badge Make sure you have correct layer selected and also the stroke properties are exactly same. Or you may post snapshot of your window (if this is allowed here), for better help..
OMG I just followed the video tutorial stroke prosperities?
hello i miss all of you
Hi @pulsar sparrow long time no see! Great to have you back 😉

Magic Mountain concept on the day 1 challenge with layers
@jovial ether That looks really cool! I would personally change up the word mountain though because you can barely make out that that is what you are trying to spell. Unless you meant to do that! Also, are those flowers brushes you downloaded?
I am going to be behind in the challenge. Had to pull my tax info together last night... sigh... would much rather be making cool art! Soon, I promise! 😄
What's the challenge about? Sry I'm new
Daily Photoshop challenge, with tutorials.
@young karma you can go here: https://www.behance.net/challenge/photoshop and you can see all the current challenges plus old challenges as well
Tutorials? Wait so to do a challenge do I need to submit tutorial too?
Ohhh ok
Can I directly try doing today's challenge without doing yesterday's? Is that valid?
@young karma A designer is providing the tutorial on AdobeLive, and then we set to work creating our own version of the demo.
Ohhhh
It's not good ... but it is a good start.
@crystal stream You should export it as a JPG and then put it on here so we can see it without having to download anything
On my Behance page, there is no button for add work. Did I do something wrong?
Challenge 1 ... Didn't follow the theme #shame 😛
@eternal mica You should post this question on the "ask-a-question" tab. But on behance it should say "create a project" in a blue button
Hi Everyone. Here is my task from challenge 1
@alpine nexus i have changed colour scheme so you can make out the words better and yes it was a free brush pack i found
@jovial ether I like it! Can you tell me where you found it? I love those types of flowers
On the basis that I can only get better, here's my first challenge. I really liked what I learnt doing this...
Here's what I've got so far
@bleak fossil thanks for the feedback! I completely forgot the line between vendors and the time. Ugh.

@alpine nexus Thanks, as a beginner I try to apply as much ideas as possible to practice!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @alpine nexus
@spiral apex I get what you mean. I'm a beginner as well and sometimes my mind is full of so many ideas for one project that I gotta tell myself to take it easy haha
@alpine nexus exactly lol, it's hard to balance what to put somehow and avoid to create something ugly 😆
@jovial ether That looks really cool! I would personally change up the word mountain though because you can barely make out that that is what you are trying to spell. Unless you meant to do that! Also, are those flowers brushes you downloaded?
@alpine nexus I agree with Elly here, I didn't even see it before they said anything. But I dig the blue moody vibe you have going here.
This was fun! It needs a bit more work, but it's a start. Comments welcome!
@wise crypt How did you create those rounded mountains? I like those types of mountains more than the pointed ones
My entry. Nice to join the community. Nice to meet you all.😃
These are all so great!
I will be pulling them up and talking about them on stream today!
Thanks @alpine nexus I used the pen tool to make one shape, then ctrl j to copy it, then I used ctrl t to transform, resize and move them around. I tried the rounded rectangle, but it wasn't quite right. 👍

#📣creative-challenges I looked up some additional tricks to create a paperbag/nebula background!
@jaunty nimbus thanks for suggestion, behind the mountain is good, my initial idea was to emphasize the moon, as long as I added lots of elements I just forgot to balance the logic of each element

Covid-19 dependant festival!!
Finally finished challenge #7. This was a lot of fun and I learned quite a few interesting techniques. Thanks again to @fierce valley . Being hard of hearing, it is sometimes hard to understand some things that are said very quickly. I have to re-play the video many times to figure things out. It would be easier if fewer keyboard shortcuts were used so the selections would be more visible.
BTW, near the end of the session I noticed there's a visible line between a lighter/darker area on the ceiling above his head. How could I go back into the project to smooth that out?
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @fierce valley
My VooDoo Valleys - Challenge 2
Here is my attempt at Challenge No1 the Voodoo Valley Farmer's Market flyer. I don't have Photoshop so I used Elements 2020 and converted PS specific commands/tools to PSE equivalent or used a 'workaround'. quite a challenge.
I really like the white stroke outline approach
@hollow ridge
Challenge 2 with tilt shift!
My PsDCC day two submission. It was fun to dig out some old photos though wish they had been taken in RAW for more flexibility in editing.

My first attempt at a challenge
@modest panther - wow, great colour options!!
Before
After
I wanted to create an effect where the 2 people are getting out and seeing light after a long walk in a spooky forest
@jovial ether I like it! Can you tell me where you found it? I love those types of flowers
@alpine nexus i believe i got it from the creative market or i just searched for free brushes through google and found it when i first got my wacom tablet
Day 1... a day late😉
Spring, Fall, Summer, and Winter (clockwise)
@modest panther I like it! They all have a foreboding look like a game should have.
@uncut grove The pink tint is my favorite! It's like sunset on a cold day at the beach.
@wise crypt Thanks 😊 Yes! I uses the pen tool to make the shapes 😉

@hallow linden thank you
Yesterday's challenge.
@young karma I like that you ascribed an emotion rather than a season to each tint. "Happiness" is very whimsical!
🐢 Hi guys! Jut finished my retouching of color in PS, for day 2 of the DCC! This is my original photo - credit: Photo by Alice Young on Unsplash

Did not use Lightroom though cause don´t have it downloaded, but used Photoshop Camera Raw Plugin instead 🙂
Playing catch up here! #✂challenges-feedback #day1 Voodoo Valley Farmer's Market. Layers... Feedback welcomed.
The original I chose from unsplash had a very warm and harsh vibe, so I created one version with a softer warmth, and then a cooler, less saturated option as well.

Creative Challenge Day 2 project
This took me a while to get all of the implements built. I know @crystal aurora is going for a garden theme but I really enjoy building games and got inspired.
PS DCC #2 Colors: Today I decided to work with the colors of a photo that I had been playing with for a while. I am also going to make another post that shows the steps I took to get there, because showing your work is half the fun (and you can only attach 1 file per post).
As promised here is the work

DAY 2 Challenge entry.
Hi everyone- I posted my challenge work on my profile page. I had fun with Winter the most :)
https://www.behance.net/gallery/94694145/Challenge-day-2
@long olive You're Welcome! 😀
@bitter cradle I didn't see the font you mentioned in my drop ... but I tested out a diff. one, hopefully more modern, let me know what you think will link right now
Critique appreciated/welcome! Potential Ski Area design? I wanted to focus on the "valley" aspect when creating this. Will be working on my day 2 now! EDIT: I feel like I did not follow the challenge correctly, but I also followed the guidelines versus starting with the video, if thats why? #day1
Here's my work from Day 1 (catching up!). Hope you like it 🙂
A little late to the party, but here is my image for Day 1. Just want to emphasize that I prefer InDesign for layouts 😉
After changing my challenge one design three times last night, I finally came up with one I like. I found this texture background that reminded me of wheat farms so I decided to overlay that over everything and I love gradients so I used a sunset-inspired gradient for the background, a gradient for my sun, and a gradient for the mountains in the back. Let me know what you all think!

Challenge 2: I took the B&W route.
Day 2 Challenge. Original is in the corner 😉
Original photo pulled from Unsplash.
I edited it to look more like it was summer.
This is the finished product with the logo made yesterday.
Not really feeling very creative today. Only slight adjustments and I tried matching the logo to the overall tint color of the landscape.
Beginner here
Admiring our many excellent peers work, I’m a little bit embarrassed to submit mine, however, the process of learning has been fun. I almost burst swearing words when all the tools showed stubborn and strange characters to me. I think it’s just a matter of time and practice. I’ll get to know them all eventually. 😀
No farm here, only a beach 🙂 My Challenge #1 entry, have to catch up 😉

Updated per challenge 2...
I am having trouble...when I upload the picture, I lose the actual bright colors. Can anyone help with this?? This is not what the picture looked like on my screen...
Did My game Sign in screen, I got that cute mermaid girl from vecteezy.

@long olive This font looks a lot better than the first one you had 🙂 I added the one I showed ya from the Adobe Font selection.
@bitter cradle Still learning how to use the app but I will get there lol. Thank you very much suggestions and the help!

Here's day 1 of the #📣creative-challenges
@young karma very cool! I agree with another commenter, I like how you chose something a bit more theoretical for your edits. I think peaceful is my fav.
@pale grail cool - you went the monochrome route! The increased highlights really help to add more depth to the foliage & you brought the details out in the sky nicely as well.
@river bison it's awesome to see the original photo and the finished design! I know the camera is your watermark/logo but it IS distracting me a bit from the delicious lobster.. 🙂
@sudden dock sweet! those diagonal field lines really do wonders to move the eye around the design. I think just the top half of the logo works by itself, too (the sky, buildings and words without the field lines)
@icy dew nice! Is it purple-y in honor of Val? 🙂 The darkness you added to the sky helps the logo and info stand out in the top design
In the vegetable basket design, you did a nice job of using the empty space on the left of the photo to add your copy. Props!
@chrome current The addition of snow really gets the point across! I wonder if you could lighten and desaturate the grass that the llama (alpaca?) is standing on to make it look like snow?
@vestal sky very bold! It was a smart move to increase the saturation on the reds/pinks to match the logo. Looks super cohesive.
@open hound nice job with the composition here. All of the elements in the background photo feel well-placed. Keep it up!
@old barn very nice options! do you have a favorite? I think the soft warm in the middle works well for this challenge. It still has life, but it isn't artificial :)
@novel sleet cool! is this made in PS or AI? I'd like to know more about your process here
Hi , Here is my post #Day2. game fliyer.
@elder ridge nice job combining day 1 and 2! I think the M&K Emporium is so nice and bold. The circular text gets lost in the background.. I wonder if you could add some weight to it so it's visible from further away?
@soft valve nice! How did you create the texture on those organic shapes? super cool!
@hollow needle this design is really clean and well composed. great job!
@void hornet awesome! I love seeing you take this challenge in a different direction. Did you build it in AI? There's also an AI challenge going on right now if you want to join that one too! (if you havent already 😉 )
@true holly yay, process work! The sky in the final piece looks so different from the original. nice job
@open hound for your challenge 2 piece, loooving the pink vibes.
@valid gazelle Nicely done!!! Thanks for posting your work. The color palette definitely fits the theme. Keep up the great work and keep playing!
@sacred field interesting! your edit totally gives the photo a different vibe, esp. because of the desaturated sky and sunset (or sunrise?).
@vernal nacelle thanks for posting! its great to see your process work. I think that the photo is already super dark, so maybe you could play with a lighter logo layered on the dark field? LMK what you think.
@tight ember ah, the edit here is so subtle and nice. Gives me pastel film vibes! Nice job
@modest inlet It's great to see your original photography! The blue sky against the orange in the trees is a great combination.
@rocky venture I think the white stroke around the logo was a super smart choice here since the imagery is somewhat dark. Nice!
@valid gazelle for your day 2 challenge: the texture in your logo is great!
@dapper tapir nice! the winter is so believable.. how did you achieve the misty feeling and the snow?
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @elder ridge
Sunrise pic standing on a bridge around the corner from my house.... BEFORE
And of course, after.
@raw brook no worries on following the challenge exactly. feel free to get creative with it! The neon green and black is a super strong color combo - it feels very EXTREME SPORTS to me!
@empty quartz thanks for posting your day 1 piece! keep it up!
@mighty relic cool! the gold and magenta is a cool color combo. I notice that the gold is a similar value to the pink.. so when you squint, they blend together a little bit. I would recommend either going lighter in value with the words or darkening the background (while keeping it saturated 🙂 )
@oak comet you're not late at all! just in time. you're right that InDesign is definitely the more practical application for laying out extensive text, but you did a great job in PS as well!
@alpine nexus Very cool! I love the friendly stencil-y font. This feels like it could be the logo for a farming video game for sure!
@young karma cool! I'd love to know more about this logo and what "scrub nurse" is all about
@tacit mirage your edit/composite is super nice! it feels surreal but realistic.
@soft valve nice job with your challenge 2. keep it up!
@fervent violet I think the texture you achieved with the logo meshes well with the nostalgic feel of the b&w image.
@oak comet for day 2 - the richness of the warm tones is much more evident in the edit! nice. however, the sky looks really green - you might try using a layer mask to bring back the original blue (unless you prefer the green sky!)
@safe mauve cool! Your photo edit is subtle and soft. I think it matches well with the color palette of your logo (which is very cute!)
@compact pecan even if you're not feeling too creative, i appreciate that you posted your work anyways! the logo and BG photo definitely match in terms of tint and value. good job!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @raw brook
thank you @sterile bane for the observation on my work yeh you ar right i find a difficulty i cant find a good spice for my logo that why just focus about lighint photo its honor for us we learning every day with your challeng and discord
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @sterile bane
@plain sable woah this edit makes a big difference. The placement of your logo integrates well into the composition, too.
@compact flume thanks for posting your work! The produce illustrations you made along with the truck are super cute! keep it up.
@tropic haven Ha! I know what you mean about the stubborn tools of Photoshop. You're doing great so far! I think the white stroke around your logo helps it stand off of such a saturated background. Perhaps you could trying going with a lighter color for the words in the bottom right as well?
@gusty hearth Farm.. beach.. either way! I'll take it! I like the abstract shapes you've used in your logo - do the shapes under the words represent waves?
@night dew nice edit! I think the logo starts to get a liiiiitttle bit lost since it's semi transparent. Perhaps you could try bringing it slightly closer to white?
@heady stirrup cool! I think the top option has the best legibility. The text of the logo is dark enough to read on the blue background.
@unreal adder i think both options are beautiful but the bottom option definitely has a more rustic feel!
@kindred star cute! the monochromatic color scheme is a smart choice to keep all of your assets feeling cohesive
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @plain sable
@pliant geyser nice! i like both options 😆 but the edit certainly provides more mood for the photo
Thanks @sterile bane

Per the recommendation, I made the logo brighter in the edited version. Also figured out how to change the color. Definitely looks better. 🙂 P.S. You have to open the picture completely to see the colors better.
@sterile bane thank you. I do admit that at least 2 parts were brought over from Ai but the rest I built in Ps. I wanted to stretch my abilities with smart layers and textures. I do watch the Ai as well, simply haven't had time to indulge in the challenges...YET! Thank you.

Thanks Mander!
Here is my day1 challenge (layers). Not thrilled about the font in the bottom text but its a start.

@tropic haven you are most welcome 😀
My pen abilities are sub-sub par but had some fun anyway.
@mossy urchin I really like yours! It reminds me of the game 'Don't Starve Together'. I suggest checking adobe fonts for other font types that you might feel better represents your work.
Hi Mander,I saved the image on my phone, and find it becomes blank. Is there anyway I can download to computer? Maybe it changed format when the file saved to my photo album.
Don’t know if there’s a discord app for the computer. I’ve been using my phone, but do the PS work on my computer, I had to send pics through my massagers, not sure if just me or there’s a better way.
Learning software is one thing, add to creative work is another, but you need know both tools and how, I wish I have learned some basics before 😩
Thanks @void hornet! i will look for some better fonts that would work better
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @void hornet
This is my entry for challenge 1. 🙂 Let me know what you think.
@tropic haven It’d probably be much easier for you to use the Discord app. You can also run Discord directly through a browser, but I personally prefer the app on my computer. Makes sharing work super fast and easy.
Thank you Sam, that helps!🙏
Thanks for all the tips @jolly quest ! I am so happy to be learning all these new tricks in the last two days. Just found out about these challenges and will be sure to continue.

My first creative challenge is complete!. This is day 2 btw
just joined challenge, here is my Day 1
I am having trouble with my internet. I live at a halfway house and a lot more men have moved in the past few days, so i will get caught up soon. Just letting you know.

Lovely day in Skagway! This was from my 6 month contract with Princes Cruises and Skagway was absolutely gorgeous! it was fun to make a cool summer day into something a little warmer
Challenge Day 2: Farm in Winter, Lettuce in Summer. No Lightroom, I managed in Photoshop, the effects aren't quite as crisp. The farm theme reminded me of a summer visit to my grandparents in the country in 2015...feels like a lifetime ago these days, but fun going through old photos from the trip.
OG Lettuce shot. The original burgundy and bright green are gorgeous.
Entry for Challenge 2!
@sterile bane Thanks! I was pretty happy just to take that photo on the way to work!

This is my challenge two original photo. I found this farm photo on unsplash and I thought it would look perfect with my logo.
@sterile bane Thanks! For Day 2, I went with the green sky because I was trying to give the image a look of coming from an world alien to our own. 👽

And this is what I did to it. I wanted it to look like the sun was just rising and make it look more warm and inviting
Challenge1 I really went out 😎 with the crops mountains and the happy sun 🌞
@sterile bane Thank you! I worked through a few different palettes but I'm glad the 'final' one pushes that idea! That was the aim 🙂 [other options had yellows, purples and blues]
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @sterile bane
@mighty relic Nice, these effects really transformed the image! Makes the setting look completely different and gives it a nice mood and lighting. Nice work 👍
@restive mountain Awesome, glad to have you join us! These challenges are great because the techniques often build on each other really well. These graphics are reading really well on the photo background!
@stuck pulsar Hah, welcome in! I like the style of this one. Almost gives me a slight 90s vibe. Nice use of paper texture too! Gives it a sort of cut out feel.
@lavish solar This is looking really nice Karla! I like the consistent soft contrast of the tones and colors. Gives it a really calming feel while still reading very clearly. Welcome in to the challenges!
@arctic rover Looking good Jude! This is just personal preference, but the black and red almost looks a bit spooky, I feel like another color from the photo (maybe the green from the melon?) might be more fitting for that upbeat farm/outdoor feel. Nice work 😄
@polar heath Great contrast between these two designs for challenge 2! Big fan of the warm sunny one, looks good! The cooler image is really nice too, though I almost get a sort of creepy vibe from it, I think it might be due to the lighting and muted colors. If you’re going for that winter feel cooling it down even further could possibly help, maybe a cooling photo filter or something. Nice work on these!
@placid topaz Really love that text design with the flowers and texture! I feel like maybe the light area behind the text could be brightened a bit? The whole center area looks like it could use a bit of a levels adjustment to boost up the contrast overall and make it pop a bit more. Just a thought, really nice design!
@vernal ice Very nice, so this is your own photo? Always cool to see people incorporating their own photos into these challenges! I like the color contrast in this, but I think the lettuce lost a bit of it’s contrast in the adjustment. I think boosting the darks could help a bit. Even darkening down the background area, or a vignette, or something to allow that light text to contrast a bit more against the background. Just a few ideas. Great work 😄
@lost tangle Great photo, I really like the added warmth on this one! It's a simple change but changes the mood of the image a good amount. Looks good!
@restive wyvern Nice design, I like the style of the text! Currently the whole design almost looks like it’s completely denatured, I wonder if it might look nice to put a cooling photo filter over the background to give it a blue tint, it might allow that white text at the bottom contrast a bit more clearly if there’s a bit more of a color contrast. Thought that just depends on the look you’re going for. Nice job!
@sullen hollow Challenge 2 Looks good Ashi, the color shift adds some nice warmth and still looks nice and natural!
@alpine nexus I like the adjusted colors! The cooler tones of the ground do seem to give it a more calm feel, and the pink in the clouds looks nice. The red text seems a bit intense but I get that it matches your logo... I wonder if white text with a red stroke could look nice but give it a more relaxed feeling overall? It might also help to make the text a bit bigger and separate it into more than one line to be a bit stronger of a message. Nice work!
@raven condor Hah, you went all out for sure, the masking of these objects is looking really solid! It does get a little busy with all the different elements, but one thing to keep in mind for the future is shooting for a visual hierarchy. Where you essentially have a primary read (aka focal point) that is typically the biggest and has the most contrast, and then a secondary and tertiary read which each have less contrast than the last to give the eye a definitive place to go in terms of what it looks at first. Just a good design principle to think about. Nice job!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @bleak fossil
@bleak fossil Thanks
Painting by my friend Sonnie Hildreth.
Challenge #2 Completed!! Haha I didn't do the best on this one I will do better on #3 challenge!
@bleak fossil Thanks Sam! I wasn’t 100% on that background, either. I’ll try those changes in the morning and repost.
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @bleak fossil
@young karma I love the colors on the new one!
this is my daily creative challenge for yesterday 😀
Hi everyone! I'm a bit late, this is the challenge #1:
CoronaVirus has been on the mind today. Hope all are safe.
Here's my interpretation. Challenge #2 Complete!
@sterile bane I should have just done it with my own logo. This is indeed more beautiful!
Original on San Juan Island
This was my first time using Lightroom. I am more used to editing in camera raw editor in Photoshop. I was pleased to see that there were similar tools I was familiar with such as the adjustment brush, vinnettes, and radial adjustments. If you click "open original" the colors show a bit better
Hi, this is my Challenge #1
Ver 2 Challenge 2
Challenge #2 Before and after:) I think I like the 'Over-the-top' colours🙃
Day 2 challenge making Spring look like Autumn (sort of!)
And the original photo for comparison
Challenge#2 2nd
@uneven flume I like how you've really spookied it up! And thanks for mentioning the colours look better "open original" I was confused why mine looked really different when I uploaded it!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @uneven flume
Day-02
Day 2
I don't know what happened, but the original color is orange and not greenish
@honest gorge I see it as orange
@honest gorge it’s not a vibrant orange but I would say it’s an orange/ yellow before I would say it’s green
@bleak fossil Thanks for the suggestions!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @bleak fossil
@rich carbon that crazy for me is green hahaha not only on the pc, but on the cell phone 🤪
Creative Challenge #2 I feel like the difference from the original photo was more drastic on my screen. Here it doesn't look like I did much.
@honest gorge hmm that’s odd
@rich carbon But when I click open the original is the right color
@honest gorge consider me stumped
@rich carbon I thought it was weird, but okay, it happens 🙃
@tropic haven yeah there is one for the computer
Good Afternoon everyone this is my 2nd challenge 😄
@dreamy tangle I like the edits you made. It makes it seem like the sun is really beaming. Like a bright and sunny day. The only thing I would suggest is changing the color of your logo because you can't really see it at first. I would change it to a darker color. And if you wanted the effect of the logo not looking like it is taking over the photo, you could always lower the opacity of it to make it look a little see-through while still being able to see it
@alpine nexus thank you very much and thanks for the suggest you are right!! 😄
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @alpine nexus
Day 2: color challenge
Thank you @hallow linden I am so happy
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @hallow linden
@honest gorge actually the same thing happened to me as well , well a similar situation my day 1 challenge looked really dark pink in my phone rather than what's right on the computer
@sterile bane Thanks for your feedback, how is this?
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @sterile bane
Here is day 2. Looking forward to watching and doing the next challenge
@young karma How curious, sometimes the colors are a little different even due to the color calibration of our monitor in relation to our cell phone, but in our case it was very different. 🙃
@north galleon I really love this one! I love how you made the moon, font, and star look almost like metallic. And that is a cool font. Great job!
@light nebula I like what you did with this one. I like how your background almost matches your stroke color. Great job!
@honest gorge colour looks good to me ... glowing!! hope you are well
@honest gorge so I was curious to see what you were talking about so I grabbed my phone and looked at your photo and your right! It has a green tint to it! But when I click on it then it changes to orange
This is my day 2 entry.
@shut trout great effort on your winter/summer picture! looks amazing
Actually when it happened in my case @alpine nexus I thought I had accidentally used CMYK colours instead of the standard RGB but turns out that wasn't the case
(Sry @hearty wharf I got confused on who I was replying to haha*)
Hi @hearty wharf I'm fine and you? 😉
Hello. My name is Aminat. I am new here. I look forward to sharing my work with you guys. Thank you
@alpine nexus Hahaha how crazy 🙃
I wanted it to look a little funky, so I added in some noise and went way blue. This was fun! Photo by Allison Archer on Unsplash
@honest gorge all good - thanks! sneaking some time off for photoshopping ... 😁
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @honest gorge
Here is my entry for challenge 2. I tried to do all 4 seasons. funny how the same image can change completely to evoke different times of years!
@dry marsh That looks amazing! Great job 👏
@wraith tartan Thank you very much! I never use Lightroom so I was amazed by how much difference I could make!

@honest gorge Thank you

@bleak fossil thanks for all the helpful and encouraging reviews to all of us
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @bleak fossil
What do you think I have warmed it up.
Here is my entry for challenge 2. I tried to do all 4 seasons. funny how the same image can change completely to evoke different times of years!
@dry marsh I love them all the the winter one particularly is really good. The only thing I would do is maybe get a texture on the water to cut down on the reflection, a frozen pond wouldn't reflect that clearly, but other than that its the best one I have seen that makes it look like there is actual snow everywhere, kudos!
@heady stirrup thanks for the comments and thanks for the tip on the pond, I will give it a try afterward!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @heady stirrup
Challenge 2 - The before and after...had to scale the before one right down to show the edited version but you get the idea...all these challenges are new to me, so lots to practice with...first time in lightroom too..i enjoyed it. This photo was taken in the winter and so I wanted to warm the photo up. It could still be winter with added warmth or i can see it as autumn early evening but i also think it has an old time feel as if it has a lot of history and stories to tell which i love. I kept the big sky as for me it captures atmosphere and energy...
Challenge#2
My original image to work with for Day 2 Color Challenge
My edited image to represent autumn for the Day 2 Color Challenge
hello all - i've finally found some time for playing with the challenge ...
Challenge 2
Really enjoy this all this but would love for the instructors to slow down.
@bronze night I have to rewatch the videos several times with lots of pausing lol
whats good
Me too and I understand but for those of us learning it's a challenge already.
@long olive
@bronze night Agreed lol. It's a challenge on top of the current challenge but one heck of a learning experience. The learning curve has been more like a sharp spike
Here is my challenge entry for today
Here is my result for Challenge day 2.
The photo shot by me in Vienna - Austria in winter (end of January).
Edited so as to have an autumn feeling tone.
Edited in Lightroom with light, colors, brushes, gradient tool.
Thanks for this challenge and hope you like it!!!
And here is the Original one (shot on Winter)
Challenge 2 Hope peeps enjoy my first ever effort ... Thanks for the great tutorials so far! Voodoo 😀
Odds are most of you won't know about the link between the plane and title 🙂
@sonic bobcat to me it looks more autumnal with the reds and oranges, and no leaves on the trees. lovely though!
@sonic bobcat to me it looks more autumnal with the reds and oranges, and no leaves on the trees. lovely though!
@dry marsh And yessss, you are absolutely right! I wanted to write autumn and not spring. These are the results when you write in a hurry :D.
Thanks for checking that and of course thanks for your comment. I edited my post so as to write "autumn" instead of spring!
Day 3 Challenge: I played around with Filters > Color Halftone, then Pixelate, and finally Pointilize.
Created in Photoshop, took about 5 mins.
@idle girder Well done, this looks great!
Gabriel here! Submission for today would love feed back with the question below!
Would love some help on how to blend the edge of the water and the waterfall
Day 1: This is my first daily challenge. 🙂 I'm going to catch up and do yesterday's and today's as well.
Challenge #3
very good
@uncut grove @hollow needle Great job! Well done both of you 🙂
Day 3 Challenge
Day 3 Challenge
Challenge #3
My photoshop crashed mutliple time today man im angry
This is my original image for challenge 3 playing with filters. I took this photo at Disney Animal Kingdom last year.
This is my piece. I used swirl effects and other layer filters to give it an almost Nirvana quality. Would love to have some advice on where to go from here, but my hubby says I should put this on a wine glass or something.😄
Pixel Sorting Effect
Here is my Challenge 1 entry.
.
.
A bit late as I've just joined a challenge(New to it).
My entry for today's challenge! ☺️
DCC - day 3 pixel sorting challenge
Challenge 2
Here's my Nightmare Fuel Face just in case anyone want's it for..... science?
gonna pin it so no one ever forgets
I'm the fairest in all the land
Here's my Nightmare Fuel Face just in case anyone want's it for..... science?
@jolly quest Can confirm this is 💯 science
Here is my entry today its my Underwaterfall, yes, underwaterfall.
Finally, here is my challenge 1 submission.
Needs more work but i guess this would do for now..
Challenge 3 : I was listening to that song and I thought maybe make something trippy combining the things I learned from the other challenges, it was fun 🙂
That's some magic potion for us all ! Little try on my own clicked picture.. 😋
I tried some different elements: photo background converted with filters to a "drawn" effect; watering can and sprout vectors; and I added some small holes to the water spill (not sure if I like that effect, though). Lots of masks in this one! CC always welcome.
Day 3 - Filters. Old MacDonald had a cup of coffee. E I E I O
image I used for the "coffee"
Goats!!!
Sticking with my more desert related theme I used the technique to make a stylized wind storm. I imagine it something like an in game event.
Here is my challenge #3
Super creative @compact pecan!
Challenge #3
challenge #1!
Challenge #3
Does anyone know what the font is called that Voodoo val used on Challenge 1? @jolly quest
Challenge 1
Challenge #3 Completed! 😄 Was fun
Day 2 challenge; Lots of choices, not sure which is better. First one is original before coloration. What do you guys think?
I cropped a lot off the pano to get this fall barn.
I used a fall preset and then manipulation the separate colors in ACR
I made this desaturated and broody
I added an actual field of radishes, but I'm not sure the angle is right . . .
Day 3: wind filter to make water - hopefully I can continue the theme through the whole challenge
Had some more photos from the same trip, to try to keep in theme figured we could have a flood challenge! I do lots of headshot retouching as part of my day job, so this is a fun totally different challenge. Awesome one, Val! Never would have thought of this.
DCC 200402 Here is my watering project. Im a city guy born and bred, so I went to watering my little house plant!!!
watering those tomatoes ...
OOOPs I uploaded the wrong file. This is the final version.
Challenge 1 😀
PS DCC #3: Today I fully embraced the Farming RPG theme of this set of challenges. I wanted to make something that felt like an activity in one of those games.
PSDCC #3 Filters
@young karma nice edits! 4 seasons 🙂
@chrome current looks awesome! esp. the snow right under the animal. The shadows on the mountains (where the snow is) feel a little grey - I wonder if a levels adjustment might help?
@light nebula Nice balance of logo and secondary text!
@young karma woah, these edits REALLY seem like different seasons. nice job bringing out the oranges!
@wraith tartan awesome! super funky and i really enjoy the second color palette.
@rose salmon Ooh that RED is awesome! Love the composition and the placement of the BG image
@sturdy vault looks nice! the green of the logo and the green of the tractor mix together a bit. Perhaps if the text green was a little darker?
@echo bridge cool illustration! I think part of the issue where the waterfall meets the water is the water direction. what if you add some more of those vertical line down further into the horizontal water?
@hollow needle - super cool - what kind of image did you use for the water?
@blazing quail ha! is that cow about to be sucked up via tracter beam? the effect is a little hard to see, but i like the idea 😆
@rich carbon I'm interested to know how you made this image! Is it composited?
@rapid silo darnit! i'm sorry to hear that.
@void hornet what a cool effect! I think you should make a whole series :)
@unkempt field that coffee looks surprisingly realistic 😮
@sterile bane I just copied the layer and masked out the trees and the pond water. I then rotated the images 90degrees applied the wind filter to the tree layer. Finally I rotated it back and boom there it is.
@uncut cliff welcome to the challenge! can't wait to see what else you make
@plush meadow cute! I like the organic shapes in this design. I think the text could be placed in a different way that better takes advantage of the entire space
@young karma that's a super cool effect! glad to see you combining different workflows that you've learned :D
@hard helm sweet! it's great to see your own photo
@bright sage visualizing the wind! love that.
@arctic rover cool! that texture is nice. what if you try rotating the pattern so that the lines are going vertically instead of horizontally? it might also be helpful to overlap the pattern a bit over the lip of the kettle?
@rich carbon boom! nice.
@young karma cool custom logo! I think the smoke is a little too detailed compared to the rest of the design. love the lettering
@eternal mica cool composite! i think your second version is really strong
i just try to make funny photo
@raven condor Hah, you went all out for sure, the masking of these objects is looking really solid! It does get a little busy with all the different elements, but one thing to keep in mind for the future is shooting for a visual hierarchy. Where you essentially have a primary read (aka focal point) that is typically the biggest and has the most contrast, and then a secondary and tertiary read which each have less contrast than the last to give the eye a definitive place to go in terms of what it looks at first. @bleak fossil Thank you
Here is my Challenge 2
just joined the challenge, here's my 1st submission for the 1st one
taking barn from summer to winter. Not much into the typset thing so this is as far as I got. LOVE LIGHTROOM
I'm just a beginner but having fun!
@sterile bane thank you! I am the one in my family that likes close ups, especially of flowers; thus, I have many others to use. I think I might try some other ones out this weekend - nothing else to do, right? 🙃

Photoshop Daily Challenge, Day 3. Pixel sorting. Must have been something I ate ...
Beginner-Had some issues, realized my version of Photoshop is not up to date, don't have all the incredible features shown today
Finally got around to day 3's challenge. Might be my favorite so far. Loved being able to incorporate two photos I took while in Europe last fall. J'adore!

Challenge 3 - I defiantly need more practice with this. So many flaws. Neat idea though.
Watering can challenge
Challenge 2
Second attempt
Original photo gotten from Unsplash
I went for a more subtle feel. Had to edit the original photo to make it fit better.
Forgot to apply a few adjustments and blended the water a bit better.
Thanks @sterile bane. Expert feedback is a great boost 🙂
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @sterile bane
@sterile bane your feedback is really motivating. I try to work again on the text.
I’m loving everyone’s challenge entries!

DISCO Lemur is ready to disco 🕺
Did anyone experience a problem I had with Blur>stylize>wind? It seemed like after I applied the effect about 5 times, I couldnt get the image to blur anymore even though I kept selecting the effect.

Day 3 challenge: filters
Challenge 3
here's mine for filters. Conflicting class today so I won't make the live again. I'll catch the replay
@spiral apex this picture reminds me of the original Ghostbusters movie! I love the way you brought two worlds together with the filters. I almost want the filter to be a litter darker, but in retrospect I think that may take away from the marvel that is occurring. Great job!
HEllo all
This is my entry for creatve challange
@jolly quest
this is the orignal image
Hello, here is my entry for the 3rd challenge. I tried to add the northern lights above my mum's pond (northern light effect made using filter on a completely random photo). I wish I had had more time to refine the selections I used for the masks ( and stop that weird halo above the trees).
Applied the pixel effect to the engine flares and the streaks of the gunfire. Thoughts, anyone?
@dry marsh That's a great idea! Really creative!
hello all - i've added my 'game layout' to the watering challenge!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to @pliant geyser

This is how to water your crops on Asteroid Eden
This is my photo for Challenge day 3.
The photo was shot by me with my drone and this is my town.
I tried to make a river that caused by a flood.
I used Photoshop with layers, wind filter, many masking and some other filters too.
The river is a new layer made from water which i cut from another photo of me and i put wind filter.
Hope you like my try :-).
And this is the original one.
@sonic bobcat Thanks a lot. I am so happy.
@void hornet Thanks for your like, originally I wanted to add the iron man above the earth but not sure how to reflect the galaxy light in his body, so just simplified the image to not mess it up
Here is the font Braton Composer that I have used in the challenges! https://www.1001fonts.com/braton-composer-font.html
