@glacial path In Premier pro in titles there's a guide for viewing called " safe margins" trying to be cute ......Make no mistake I love and appreciate the time you share with me.........THANK YOU 🙏🏽
@short mica Yup, I know 😄 But your question is actually pretty interesting. It would be neat to auto-setup some guides in Photoshop
based on percentages or pixel margins
oh well... would you look at that. Of course that's a thing. Thanks internet https://guideguide.me/
WOW looks cool
@pulsar sparrow @grave meteor This looks really cool! I would probably brighten up the lens flares quite a bit. The center should almost always be pure white (otherwise you wouldn't really get a flare). Maybe you can also pick a narrower movie-type font. You can use https://fonts.adobe.com/fonts?browse_mode=default&filters=wd:c to find more of them

this will be my first DCC. i'm out of practice, but i'm looking forward to refreshing my skills. i haven't done much design in years. been mostly a dev.
Welcome @junior island great to have you here! 🙂
@junior island welcome to the community! I would probably make the text a bit bigger. Remember, you want to catch the attention of the viewer and the size of the thumbnail is not that big
Lovely gradient 🙂
@glacial path Thank you for your wonderful feedback! 🙂 I'm actually not sure how I would add a texture to the font. Is it fairly simple? I like the glitch effect too! I should try to make these changes and before the class ends. 😄

Thought I'd do something purple for you @jolly quest since it's one of my favorite colors, too.
This will be my first DCC. i'm out of practice, but i'm looking forward to renew my skills.
I love the colors and texture @cold cedar ! How did you make the text transparent?
Thanks @sturdy flare. Make the fill of the text layer 0% then use layer styles like bevel and emboss, color overlay and stroke.

@glacial path yes I am really need to have many fonts my laptop is old but what about the image?
@glacial path I am really thankful for your help
@glacial path Thanks for the feedback! I will try bringing some of the haze back! 😄

My cover for the upcoming PS DCC 🙂
@neon kestrel welcome to the challenge! This thumbnail is a great start 🙂 I like the clean shapes in combination with the frosty font 👍 . I would probably just rethink the stroke here. I don't think you really need it 🙂
the minimalist trees look super cool
@deep mango always great to see you 😄 - I like the loose font and the snow texture in the foreground! Well done
Thanks @glacial path 🙂

That's awesome @cold cedar , I'd love to try that sometime. Thanks!

Today's challenge. Wasn't able to catch the live stream. I struggled with some of the edges. Definitely open to hearing how I could fix those. Thanks!

PS DCC - Retouching. Before and After
My cover 🙂
@robust bone You did an amazing job on the papers in the background!
@young karma Love the texture!
Omg I had 6 min to do it
Before after
@young karma nice textures.
@young karma nice retouch. I hate how really good wallart get's marred by air conditioners and power lines.
@austere root thanks ☺️
Gave +1 Creative Carma to skunkie
@silver trench Thanks a latte 😅

@young karma well done removing what I assume is an A/C unit and the exposed brick You even got the shadow, nice!
Couldn't work on this yesterday so getting things done today. Hope I did this right!! I've never done any of this before but it's a great way to learn new skills!! Any CC appreciated!!
Day 1: Retouching 💯
So excited to get started with this!!!
@shell chasm I'M LAUGHING SO HARD
oh dear, selfies are not my friend, but sooo glad there is photoshop!! very useful though, my linked-in picture is about 8 years old ... thanks @jolly quest

current-challenge Cover art for my PS DCC - Oct. 2019
Even managed to lose a little bit of the grey. Just a little. 😂
@fathom moon Love it!
@cold cedar ... thank you 🙂

Excited for the next challenges 🙂
magic patch tool 😉
Here is my cover design
DCC 1
Challenge #1 Played around with a few other tools along with the patch tool (also has to black out a not so great word 🤦 ) If anyone has any advice on how to make the table look more realistic without the plate on it, please let me know!!
Okay, so I went a little off brief 🙄
After - in Duotone
- before drone photo (messy deck)
- after. used patch tool to clean up the messy deck. I learned something new!
@young karma I like how calm and pleasant this looks. My only suggestion would be to perhaps center the text or align it left, maybe.
@dusky bramble that's some nightmare fuel right there 😱
@amber falcon Woah! I love the vibrant orange in combination with the white brush font 🙂 . The spacing between the individual characters seems a bit off. Did you modify the kerning?
@stable vigil Well done! The background looks nice and clean and so does the transition between the background and your hair. The brightness level is also very pleasant 🙂
Challenge #1
Hi All - my first day with this challange thing - I have no idea what's going on - where is and what is the challange for today - I belive it's day 1
@arctic scarab Nicely done! Instead of cloning out the unwanted areas, you can simply create a mask and remove the background entirely 🙂 But I would probably go with a less bright tone. White often looks jarring. How about a subtle gradient? You could maybe even use a hint of blue like the blue color on the shirt ^^
@hazy surge You find today's challenge here https://www.behance.net/challenge/photoshop/
Hey @hazy surge -check out the #✋welcome channel and the #📣creative-challenges channel 🙂
Thank you sno.e and Tim Mobest
@hearty wharf What a great picture 😄 I actually don't mind having a hint of color in the background but the more subtle background absolutely works too! Good job on the color enhancements - they add a lovely glow to the shot 🙂
Challenge#1 🙃
@thorn geyser Nailed it! The edits look 100% natural and they are seamless 🙂 You could probably slightly boost the brightness in the shadows but that's about it
@fathom moon The cover design is very unique and creative 😄 I think you could probably swap the green band in the middle for a blue or yellow one. You already have blue, orange, black and yellow as a color. Introducing another one could be a tad too much. I would reduce the color palette to three colors (plus black) 🙂
Challenge #1! Happy October! 😉
@high wharf What a fun text effect 😄 ! Almost reminds me of those enamel pins you can buy. The background is very vibrant and busy which would make small text less legible. You actually managed to get around this issue by adding a white glow around the smaller text. I would probably lose the drop shadow and increase the glow size around the top text
@glacial path I did.... WHOOPS I know now not to do that next time thank you!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to evil
@long void Yes! You're almost there! Notice the color bleeding around the dark edges? This usually happens when you get too close to a dark area in the image. There are two options to mitigate this issue: you can either cut out the subject first and remove everything in the background (including the subject) to then overlay the subject on a second layer; or you can try to stay away from the contrasty pixels (which doesn't work if the background objects are touching the foreground subject)
@keen pendant epic shot! You have totally transformed the selfie and improved the background by a lot! I like the subtle texture in the background! Much better than just a solid color 🙂
Before and after for the #✂challenges-feedback. Can't believe I've been using clone stamp like a sucker when patch exists.
That's very cool sugarbutter!
I really like how you made the car frame on the right blurry - like it's way back in the distance
@brazen patio That curtain is actually pretty difficult to remove because of the hair and noise in the image. The effect looks pretty clean, even though you removed a couple of the strands of hair. Well done 🙂
cover pic for PS DCC Oct 2019 (edit)
@main matrix Yes! Much better 😄 The glow around your hand actually looks pretty cool! (If you don't want that glow, you will have to cut out the hand, place it on a new layer, remove the hand from the old layer and finally blur the background.)
@young karma I'm usually not a big fan of serif fonts but this one totally works! Especially with the petrol color and the bright yellow background 🙂 Can't wait to see more of your work 🙂
Day 1. Mostly used patch tool. After using patch tool to get rid of most of shadow and door, used soft clone brush along face and shirt edges.
The original was far worse. Had to do a bit of Camera Raw work before starting to use patch tool.
@fallow bough Impressive difference! Even just the added brightness does add so much and the removed shadow improved the overall look 🙂 Your skills never cease to impress me, Ken!
Had another crack at it, kept it a bit more in the realm of reality this time! 🤔
@glacial path Thanks. Too bad I got serious about fully learning Ps after retiring. Before i was just using it for simple cleanup of product photos and prepping web images. Most of my CC work was with Premiere to edit training videos.

@glacial path is this better? thank you for your feedback.

Challenge #1
@young karma Nice. Makes me thing of those old monster movies.
@deep mango Very nice, that makes a huge difference. The retouching looks great, very natural look to it. I wonder if you could push the levels adjustments even further to brighten it up, but mask it off with a soft round brush so the top gets more of a boost than the bottom. And even use a multiply layer to darken the bottom a bit to draw more attention to the top. Maybe something like this?
@indigo salmon Nice work with that masking for Challenge #1 Tia! Stray hairs can be really tricky and it looks like you did a really nice job with that. If you want to push it even further perhaps you could play around with levels adjustments to brighten up the face just a touch? Nicely done!
@candid chasm Looks good Meer! Edits are looking really clean and natural. Definitely gives the image a more professional look. Nice job! The only thing I’m noticing is a little bit of fuzziness on the edge of the arm on the left side.
I love the feedbacks, cuz u all see something that I don't 😂😂 thank u @bleak fossil I'll fix it 😊
Gave +1 Creative Carma to SamPetersonArt
@fallow bough Really nice work Ken! The image definitely came a long way since the original. The adjustments look really nice and the removal of the background shadow helps a lot.
Decided to participate in the Daily Creative Challenge to learn Photoshop. This is my first time using Photoshop!
After and Before 😅 my bad!
here's my After image~😋
Hi guys! Coming in hot at 11:52 PM with my cover and first day's challenge 😅
Before
After : softened some lines on the wall, removed some of the hair by the neck, and fixed the green smudge!
@hazy surge Looking good Kenny! I like what you did with the background on the left side, I think it might help to do it on the right too in order to get rid of the vertical lines that seem to crowd the image a bit. Might also help to refine the selection on the arm on the right side a bit. The quick selection tool should have some nice options for that. Nice work!
@main matrix Hah, it’s always great when you find a new tool or technique in Photoshop that’s faster than the method you currently use to do things. I’ve definitely had those moments. Nice work! I like how you dipped the background into black on the left side, I think it might be nice to even do that one the right as well. Currently the light part in the background creates a lot of contrast and might look more uniform just to make it all black. Looks good!
@amber falcon Oooh, creepy. Feels very appropriate for October, hah. Love how you matched the right side’s background to the left side, gives the whole thing a really creepy feel with the enveloping light. A fairly simple edit but very effective for this image!
@willow nebula Really nice work Hilde! Edits look really clean and natural, nicely done!
@hasty coral Great job Sam! Really gives the background a much cleaner feel. I also like the way you darkened down the background to draw more contrast and focus to the face.
@edgy idol Nice edits! I like the subtle object removal and the color/contrast adjustments make a really nice difference! Really helps clean the picture up and make it look more professional, nice work!
@kindred gate Really nice use of the patch tool! That one seems tricky but the background gradient looks really good. I think another simple adjustment that could really help would be to crop the image a bit more so there not so much blank space at the top and even the right side too. Might help focus the attention on the face better. Well done!
@cold cedar Nice adjustments, some really good contrast in there! Nice job on the patch and clone work as well!
@short pagoda Nice work with the patch and clone tool! Yeah, I think edges especially on hair can be tricky. I found this video really helpful. Allows you to really play around with your selection and get some nice refinement on it. https://youtu.be/c2I7X92IVGk
Isolate a detailed subject from its background and create a new composition. Featured artist: Temi Coker. Check out more of his work here: https://www.temico...
Thanks @bleak fossil
Gave +1 Creative Carma to SamPetersonArt
@short mica Nice work removing elements of the background! I think one thing that is tricky about this image is that the tiles are hard to use the patch tool with because the lines create a sense of perspective. So if they’re repeated in a random way it throws off the realistic sense of perspective. This is also the case for repeating the pattern all the way to the top of the image since that gets rid of any natural horizon line which further confuses the perspective of the image. I think some of the edges of the hair and arm could be cleaned up too, it might help to check out the video I posted to JulianClark above. Just some thoughts, always great to see you joining us for these DCCs, nice job!
@austere root Nice work! Those edits look nice and clean. If you wanted to take it even further you could try playing around with a levels adjustment to help the lighting look a little brighter since indoor lighting isn’t always the best. Well done 😄
@pastel spade She is now finally in her natural Elvish habitat. A true masterpiece, hah
@young karma Ooh, great job on this one! The edits look really clean, especially on the wood texture on the left which seems like it could be really tricky. Nice work!
@silver trench Looking good, nice job on the Day 1 challenge! I think it could also look good to try a levels adjustment to brighten up the face a little bit. Keep up the good work on these challenges!
@young karma Hah, that’s really impressive to do that quickly! The background change helps a ton, makes it kind of look like a photography backdrop or something. Very nicely done, the selections and edges look really good.
@young karma Very cool Mina! Really nice job, the object removal looks really solid.
@wide solar Very nice! The selections and edges look really nice and clean, which can be especially tricky when you have objects you’re removing up against edges you want to keep. Really nicely done! If you wanted to push it even further a simple levels adjustment could look nice to brighten up the image/contrast a bit.
@honest gorge Looks good Carla! Nice job with the background!
@dusky bramble It may be October but this is terrifying XD Not sure if Adobe realized the horror the clone stamp could be used for. Nice work, hah.
@stable vigil Very nice work Madi! Background is looking good, and hair selections can be really tricky but it’s looking solid!
@bleak fossil any feedback?

Day 1 challenge, using the patch tool
Since I have been following these challenges for some months now I think it is time to challenge myself to the max 😉 So I made a selfie in which the top of my hair was missing and I had glare in my glasses. I tried to fix that, I still feel there is something off, maybe some feedback will help me see it. Thanks in advance!
@magic hedge Your hair is so beautiful 😍 Great job!
@fast moth Great job, the picture itself is beautiful, but you made it 💯 💯 !

@glacial path as always, thank you so much for feedback - i've now added some colour 😉

is anybody else deeply in love with fresco? i can't think of much else at the moment ... i thought i could do an oil colour blob and put it on a wall for my project title ...
@tulip fern WOW so you basically built the top of your head with the tools? I’m very impressed!
@hearty wharf LOL Well done! A very fun approach to the challenge!! The butterflies look like they were meant to be there!
@broken gorge NICE! It really looks like you just took a picture of yourself against a wooden wall!
@craggy jackal nice work! I think I like yours better than mine!!
aaaahw, thanks so much @jolly quest - they were totally missing in my life ...

@pulsar sparrow great entry! I think you could improve it even more if you straightened up that white line on the back wall and used the Patch tool on “normal” setting to blur the edges of where that man was standing! Keep up the good work!
@hearty wharf HAHA well now you can give yourself as many as you want!!
@young karma AWESOME! I’m especially impressed with how you cleaned up that shadow around the edge of the face!!
@jolly quest Thank you very much for your feedback and I hope You can give me a feedback always don't forget 😊 me

Here is my challenge 2 entry for today! Can't wait to see yours!
@bleak fossil I thought of that after uploading. Sometimes I'm to literal when following instructions. In other words. I only used the patch tool on that image.
There's a LOT going on behind me. Tried to simplify. Getting caught up. Day 2 coming right away after this.
Challenge 2: I might throw in a saturated background and go full "Warhol." 😃
Challenge 2: If anyone has any suggestions on how to get rid of some of the fuzziness In the yellow any help is appreciated 🙂
Challenge 2: if i wanted to change the gray stripes on the cans, how would i go about doing that with similar ease?
😋
I don't know why, but i can't see my picture here 😦 but if i touch See original, it opens in the browser...
thas just happening to me or nobody can see it?
@candid chasm I can't see it either >.< did you save the image as a jpeg or something else?
Navy dress is the original, I tried using the color dropper (-) to get the hues around her hair, but didn't have much success. Anyone have tips on how to prevent hair from looking wonky?
@dense spade Try making a copy of the original image and put the layer under the one you're recoloring and then erase the parts that have colors in the hair. Or you could make a mask for the image on top so then it only shows the hair from the layer below it
I think that my image was too long and discord doesn't show it cuz of that... But well... i cut them so everybody can see it.
Some fun with lipstick colours. The Orgibnal is of course red, and then the 3 Halloween'is colors
Catching up with the challenges 🙂

Challenge #2: Replacing Color. I took a t-shirt I made for myself and replaced the color to show 3 different color options. I love these challenges! Before original
then after...
And an another one. Just because it's so much fun 🙂
Thanks @jolly quest 🙂 Yes I did use the Patch Tool! Especially reducing the glare on the glasses worked very well. For building the hair it took also a lot of layers and masks, some stamping and I could not do it without the "Selective color adjustment layer".

challenge 1 Retouching
Challenge 2 Color Replace
This is my latest project from fresco
Not really the challenge but works
Challenge 2: Color Replace
Challenge #1: I know I am a day behind, but here it is 🙂
Day 2
Color replacement using my retouched image from yesterday. Replacing the color on a white wall gives a rather splotchy effect. I had some trouble with color changes haloing around the subject. Found changing the color of the glasses with the replace color adjustment, because there wasn't enough value and color contrast. For the glasses I used a hue adjustment with a mask.
Challenge #2
Challenge #2 - Color Replace
Like this layout better. Also replaced the puke yellow one with burnt orange.
Day 2 Fish anyone? Changing colors.
Day 1 Patch Tool
@edgy idol you took out the orange but I love the orange
@nova swan I do too, that’s why I left some orange 🍊
Day 2 - Replace color in a product photo.
Original colors are the blues. I found these lovely watercolor clothing on AdobeStock. This one is 180880897, but there are many others. I use them to make puppets for Adobe Character Animator. I thought this one would be appropriate for the season. Colors changed with color replace tool. I made the background with 4 layers (different blend modes) of Adobe Paper Texture Pro plug-in.
My day 02 entry!
Decided to play a bit more...
Day 2 - I ended up with a crazy file size after using the crop tool to extend the image several times 😆
My cover image for this challenge.
I like the effect on the image @tulip fern 😄
@glacial path thanks for your help, tim - i didn't mean to elbow my way into the review ... sorry for the complication! do you think there might be a fresco channel at some point? on the other hand i'd like to integrate fresco, capture and photoshop into my actual workflow in the future, so it won't be isolated ...

@sterile bane thank you for reviewing and feedback, kathleen - so far i've only been playing and trying out brushes, it's great to see your stream today and see how other people do it!
Challenge 2 - This was much harder than I had anticipated, but then probably would've been better if I tried changing more solid areas. I'm happy with it I guess.
Thank you @coral stone . I have been playing around with the Filter Gallery again: half-tone, graphic pen and waterpaper

Day 2
Challenge 1 - Retouch - Voodoo Val edit
@thorn geyser Yep, file size is "oooh wee that big" after coloring, masking, duplicating .😂
Challenge 2 color replace (original is red/pink one in the center)😀
Challenge #2 recolor and original
Color replacement 🙂
#✂challenges-feedback challenge no.2 - colour replacement - I had some issues with artefacts on the tie, so I threw on a desaturation adjustment layer, and painted over the ties. Issue solved 🙂
Challenge 2 - I first tried doing a pair of black shoes and realized it's quite difficult doing black with color replace; I'm assuming with black, there might be a better way? So, I will post both the flowers and the shoes I did. 😀
Challenge 2 - classic car
@young karma wow! Loved the blue one 😍
@winged shadow very creative. I like the way you inverted the colors 😉
@keen granite I think all the colors look great except tan. The tan color looks fake because it's heavy. I suggest reducing saturation to soften the tan color and adjust until it looks more realistic.

Challenge #2
How cute! @magic hedge 😍
@coral stone Thanks😀
My cover art 🙂
Challenge 1 using the patch tool. This is my first time using the patch tool. It was hard using the white space and getting a good hair line. Just more practice needed. 🙂
challenge #2 - lifting the black was tough. my 8 year old also got in on the fun 😬
Took me a little longer to edit this one so I only did one color replacement. But still a great tip!
For Challenge 2 I use Color Replace tool to change the colors of this pictures, Color Replace hooola!!!
Far left is original. I liked the artifact shining thru on the pink and purple versions, so I didn't correct. Which version do you like best?
Thanks @coral stone for the tip re: adding a dup later underneath to erase any unwanted color changes! That came in handy with the plants under his feet.
Gave +1 Creative Carma to Valdair Leonardo
@loud gull Fire!!
This was a hard challenge for me to do. I finally was able to find a photo in which I could change the color! Since I spent so much time on the previous attempts, I could only do one color change. The photo on the left is the original photo.
DCC #2 Because it's October.
Challenge 2~Color Replace Feature applied to Sterling Silver pendant with Sapphire. Hebrew Pendant~Shalom/Peace and photo: by Bobbie Blakely
@fathom moon Nice job, the color changes are looking good! Maybe the purple ones on the very left could be desaturated just a touch to stick to that more subdued pastel color palette the rest of them have? Just a thought, nicely done!
@short pagoda Looks good! This would definitely be a useful technique for mocking up different t-shirt designs. Nice work!
@fallen nest Nice work! It might help to tone down the saturation or brightness on the left side of the background as it’s currently drawing a lot of focus. It also might help to boost up brightness in your portrait with a levels adjustment just a bit. Try to shift that focus away from the background into the portrait. I think the blur does a nice job of that too, nicely done!
@hearty wharf Very nice! The peppers look good! It’s great how quick and easy changes like that can be in Photoshop.
@cold cedar Nicely done Valentine! The color changes on the dresses all look really convincing and natural in their color shift. Nice work!
@tacit condor Well done! Very clean masking, the color shifts look very natural!
@fast moth Looking good! It’s great how Photoshop can be used to see different color variations of an object in a really quick way. I wonder if toning down the saturation on the rims might make it look more natural? Nice job!
@young karma Ooh, very cool. Would be cool to see a blue flower like that. If you wanted to edit these any further I think a levels adjustment might be a nice touch too in order to brighten them up a bit. Also, great work with the masking on the dresses, very professional looking edits. Nicely done!
@young karma Nice job! I’ve definitely gotten some use from Photoshop before of mocking up different color objects to see which looks best. Cool to see you applying this to your own work!
@short mica No problem! The masking on this looks much better, great job, especially on the hair. Very nicely done!
@nova heath Really great job! Very clean work with the object removal, impressive. The removal of the pavement paint and telephone poles in the background definitely give the image a cleaner more focused look. I think this looks great, but a tiny nitpick for pushing it even further might be to get a bit of that cast shadow directly below the shoe on the very right. On the original you can see a bit of a cast shadow below the foot on the white paint, might help to get a little bit of that on the edited black pavement. I think you could even fade off the cast shadow behind him a bit since we don’t see much of that in the original image. Again, a very minor nitpick, but something to think about. Very nicely done!
@young karma Ahh, very cool idea. I really like the cohesive pastel color palette too, the whole image works together very nicely. Perhaps if the text on the right side had a little more contrast somehow? Some of the lighter colored text is a bit hard to read at a glance. Looks great!
@candid chasm Really nice clean color shifts. Nice job on the masking, and the saturation levels work nicely to keep it believable looking. Great work.
@dim zealot Looking good! Nice job on the masking. The color changes are looking solid!
@weak wave Great work on this, I really like the color shift you added! The green monochromatic color scheme gives the images a really cool look the original doesn’t have. My only suggestion would be to refine the selection on the shirt a touch. I believe there is a photoshop selection option where you can “expand” the selection by a certain number of pixels. Perhaps that would help to cover up the red entirely if you expanded the selection by a pixel or so. Really nice work!
@arctic scarab Looking good! The color shift looks really nice and clean, really cool to see different color options like that for the car. Very cool!
Not perfect yet but I'm pretty happy with it 🙂 The image on the left is the original!
@lofty saddle Nice work on these challenges, they’re looking solid! The color changes are looking great and the object removal is looking good as well! My only suggestion is that the hair selection on the left side of the selfie looks a bit blurry in areas. Hair selections can be really tricky but perhaps a bit of refinement with this technique would help: https://youtu.be/c2I7X92IVGk
@snow vortex Very cool! The blue color change looks great. My only thought is it might be a good idea to try applying a warming photo filter to the blue Jeep so that it fits in with the warm lighting and environment of the desert. Currently the blue looks too cool (and a little dark) and unaffected by the area it’s in. Might also be neat to try and duplicate that cast shadow in the original image to fit it into the scene better. Maybe something like this? Nice job!
Thanks @bleak fossil.

Daily Challenge 2,
Started with yellow flowers. I left the harsh mask line so you could see the difference.
Day 2 challenge, using the replace colour technique
Used Color Replace. Nice tool 😄 I usually used Hue/Saturation and masks. But with this the process is much faster 😄
What do you think abou this color change + using animation?

@bleak fossil thank u for u feedback 🙂

@umbral quest great work! I think you could even improve it further if you turned the lightness/saturation down slightly on the green one! That would make the shadows on that toy look even more believable!
@long void nice! Love how you have added all the new versions into one piece here! I think you could make this even better if you use the “Add to” color dropper on some of these like the pink one and make sure you get all of that color sampled! Well done!
@bleak fossil Thank you, you are right it give it a lot of life to the image!

hello all - i've put my chillies onto a bag i found in adobe dimension!
Hello every one! This is my work for the second challenge, I decided to use my old iPhone. (The Gold is the original)
All the extra clumps where distracting me, since I have a few min before the next challenge I decided to get rid of them. Love the patch tool. it's amazing
@frank flower Nice work Shae! You might have even more success if you apply that little layer duplication trick I did in the stream and erase around her shoulders and chest a little bit to tone down that colored glare. You could also try the "Subtract" dropper tool and see if clicking the color of her skin around the shoulders and chest helps!
@kind walrus Great retouch submission!
@broken gorge Another great entry Great subject to use for a product variation!
@nova heath Looking great! Those color variations are very clean! Nice work!
@hearty wharf Way to go using Adobe Dimension! loving the pastels and variations here! I think you could improve it further if you altered the contrast of the peppers on the middle two bags. I notice some of the dark shadows become lost in those color changes. Keep up the great work!
Day 1 finally
Here is my challenge entry for day 3! Can't wait to see what you folks create today!
I think I will add more drop shadow and outer glow to some of the pasta elements!

WOW, Amazing @silver trench!
My day 3 entry. The Content-Aware Fill tool is the only tool I used in this one. I was tempted to use the clone stamp tool, patch tool and the healing tool and maybe more, but I managed to avoid them 😉

Challenge 3 below uses Content Aware Fill to spread out items and add Text.
Original
Original
Edited: I had to work a little more cuz all those seeds were taking all the attention haha... Anyways... im still finding new thing to fix... xD
I am new and lost. This is the DCC Challenge #2. The blue dress is the original. The black looks believable but the pink and green look fake. I am guessing there are nuances to the Color Replace feature I need to learn. I see everyone else's samples and they look excellent.
@blissful badge I love the concept of ur composition... But a little tip, from my perspective, I'd make the shadow of both object to the same side. 🙂
@candid chasm I was thinking the exact same thing. Thanks!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to Meer
Maybe this makes it a little better with the shadows.
Challenge #3: Content Aware Fill ...I started playing around with the first image and realized I missed the point of the lesson, Content Aware! 🤦🏼 So I scrapped that and found another image to play with. I'm not really happy with any of my submissions for this DCC series yet.... but I've already spent too much time on this today. Maybe I will take some new photos of something else to play with later on this week. 🤷🏼
Challenge 3: Content Aware Fill
Here is my Challenge 1 before and after.
Here is my Challenge 2 before and after

late day 1 before and after
@rich yoke I think you are being too hard on yourself. the pink and green don't look fake to me. Now my memory pictures those look fake.
@pmac thank you for your words of encouragement. I'm sitting here experimenting on other images and I'm sinking into an abyss of discouragement. I saw your images, by the way-- those are among all the good ones! On bright side I suppose, we all have to start somewhere.

I ended up searching for quite a long time before I found this appropriate (original on left) image on AdobeStock. As you can see, I've removed all the nuts and honey. The milkmaid is from a 1911 postcard from the logo archives of www.wisconsinhistory.org. She is in a Fram from PixelSquid. I used Trajan Pro for the text, although I did modify the motto from "Wisconsin, Come Cut Our Cheese" Surprisingly, California produces more milk now the Wisconsin does, but the midwest state is still famous for cheese -- and cheeseheads.
Late upload for day one. Before and after selfie cleanup. Used patch brush tool to fill background and remove blemishes. General clean up and background replacement.
Day 2 Color Change Challenge
@fathom moon the text looks great and I like how all shadows are pointing in the same direction 🙂 I would probably darken them slightly to anchor them to the table
@young karma wow, that's a tricky shot to edit because of all the small twigs here
@young karma have you used the select and mask workspace to refine the selection?
if not, this could be a good way to improve the selection
PsDCC4 Content Aware Fill. Look forward to suggestions, recommendations, comments.
@glacial path yeah after taking forever to find a photo that would work this was the best one I could come up with. I just duplicated the layer and erased the best I could. I definitely would have done that if I was up to the task but that would've been a lot work. Those type of trees are hard to work around.
@cold cedar the content aware edits look almost seamless. I would probably up the contrast to add some punch to the blacks and whites in the lower right area. And maybe you can have another look at the type on the left 🙂 The layout seems uneven. I also wouldn't use too many fonts or capitalization styles
This is what I applied Content-aware fill on
This is the final image for Day 3's challenge 🙂
@cobalt lantern Good job on the background 😄 The dark teal nicely complements the warm skin tones 🙂 I also like the overall soft lighting on your face. If possible, I would just increase the headroom a bit and crop the right part of the image slightly 👍
@honest gorge Eating pizza now as I look through Discord.😁
@glacial path Thanks. Laughing because I tried to lower the brightness in the lower right. I think the fonts are all the same family. The Small Caps does look weird now. I'll take another shot at it.

@cold cedar feel free to tag me if you post an updated version! I'd love to see it 😄
@cold cedar Pizza is life hahaha, I confess that while editing I felt like eating 😋
Evening all, here's my Day 3 entry for the content aware fill challenge. Before and After.
Challenge 3!🍂 🎃
@wet thistle wow! you really have to look for the details to spot the added cups (the slightly off perspective is a clue 😉 ).
you could flip the cup horizontally to fix it 🙂
@amber falcon Oooh I love the narrow font! Your edits are seamless and I am impressed how you managed to remove the giant board in the middle. Great job! 😄
Hi @glacial path Here's version 2 with your recommendations. Let me know what you think.
@young karma Nicely done! The result is very clean and I love the little detail where the text actually is underneath the pumpkins 🙂 Just make sure to actually follow through with the effect down here 😉
And this is the result - had to correct with the clone stamp, because the content aware fill didn't seem to be aware enough of the content, hm, if you know what I mean ...
challenge 1: used the touch up technique to clean up/even out and then topped off with some camera raw from kladi
@deep mango Wow, that's one way to completely transform an image 😄 I would just watch out for the text on the left. the color is very similar to the sprinkles in the background. maybe you can remove the ones that are touching the text 🙂
@willow nebula Yeah, sometimes the content aware tools have a mind of their own 😄 The color contrast looks awesome, maybe a bit oversaturated, but still good. The only thing which is bothering me, is the odd pixely look of the "JAM" text in the middle
did you do any scaling or is this just the look of the font?
@glacial path Hm, yes, you are right, I probably overstrechted the JAM. Well, not probably, definitively. I used Acier Bat, and if you just type and are able not to touch it anymore or to stop in time, it's quite a nice font. Thanks for the comment!
Gave +1 Creative Carma to evil
@formal sage love the cleaned up version but I wouldn't go quite that cold with the color temperature 🙂 Try to find a neutral point where the background looks white and the skin tones look natural ^^
@forest aspen The only thing I would change is to cool down the color temperature of the postcard and the frame. It seems a bit too warm compared to the background 🙂 You can use the photofilter or the camera raw filter to adjust the tones
@fast moth what a great idea! I think you're 90% there! just try to soften this edge here
and add a shadow to the pasted sushi cubes 🙂
I'm a bit behind! Here's my DAY 1: Retouch original photo
and here's the finished work
It's beautiful @plain sable ! I love the rocky background, it fits well with the image
Didnt want my bg to be a dyslexic smear like myself. Lol. My “goal” with the tone was to have that classic B&W feel while getting the effect that changing the temp on a color photo does. So like a “modern” way to get a distinction of retro devices. If there is any methods to get that please let me know @glacial path

#✂challenges-feedback daily challenge no.3 I made up all the info on the spot with today's lesson as a source of inspiration. My content aware fill tool does not have the new panel that you can paint on, so I had to do it the old fashioned way and used a few hacks to trick the software. 🙂
These are the source images I used.
I made a few slight adjustments, this is the one that I will most likely upload to my Discord project. Now I can sleep 🙂 #✂challenges-feedback
Running behind, did not do challenge 1 as working on a pro bono Logo for my friends autistic sons Social Group. Decided they would want the Logo on T- shirts eventually so have rendered one, and used Challenge 2 towards showing how it would work on T-shirts for the kids. Now to go back and render a few more for them.
@honest badger Oh my goooodness, that puppy is too adorable. Really nice job on the color changing for Challenge 2, great work on the masking! The background object removal for Challenge 1 looks great as well. The only thing I see is that the edge on the paw on the right side of the image could use a little refinement with the dark fuzzy area. Sometimes hair/fur selections can be tricky, but I’ve had some good results refining edges with this technique: https://youtu.be/c2I7X92IVGk
@hasty coral Really nice work! Yeah, it’s always great to find a new tool or technique to makes things more efficient. The patch tool is great. Really nice work on these, the masking looks really nice and clean. The color variations are great too!
@kind walrus Looking good! Nice work on the color variations. Really nice job on the object removal too! It’s funny how such a simple change can make an image look so different. My only suggestion is that the selection around the left side of the face looks a bit rough. I think the key is just refining the selection beforehand to make sure it’s clean. I’ve had some good luck with the refine edge brush with the selection tool, perhaps this video might help: https://youtu.be/c2I7X92IVGk
@broken gorge Looking good! The color changes look really natural and convincing, well done! I like the stacked mockup you have too, nice touch. My only suggestion with the layered/stacked image is that it seems like the back of the phone (that you can see on the bottom one) isn’t showing on the rest of the phone. So rather than there being a darker gap between them while appearing in the same perspective it seems like there’s just light between then which looks a little odd. It’s kind of a nitpick, but just an observation I thought I’d point out. Nicely done!
@hearty wharf Very cool Tan! It’s always great to see mockups like this. I like it! I wonder if the peppers could use a bit of a levels adjustment to brighten them up and/or add a little more contrast. I like how they’re darker because they’re on the shadow side of the bag, but I feel like maybe they could still use a little boost, though it’s a bit hard to say without seeing it. Either way it’s looking solid!
@mighty quest The replace color challenge is looking really nice! Nice job on the masking around the front of the shirt/fur of the dog. That can be really tricky. Looking good!
@nova heath Solid job on the color changing challenge Ryder! Really nice job on the masking, looks very clean.
@long void Very nice work! Really love the Idea for the collage of spinners along with the color changes. Looks like it could be an advertisement. The only thing I notice is a little bit of roughness with some dark blotches around the bottom right spinner, the middle bottom pink and green one as well. I think a little refinement on those could really make this look super clean. Very nicely done!
@deep needle Very cool! It’s always really fun and cool to do this challenge with cars and see the different looks you can get. I really like the green one myself. Nice job with this, masking looks really good and the color changes look really convincing!
@blissful badge Awesome job, really love the greyscale background to make the cars pop. Cool colors too, really liking that blue one. Really nice and clean masking work also, well done!
@young karma Ooh, very cool. I don’t think I’ve seen any boat images yet. Really nice job on the masking and variations of colors! This might be a nitpick but the purple one at the bottom right looks a touch too saturated to me. Looks slightly unnatural in how vibrant it is. Maybe toning the saturation down just the tiniest bit could help? Either way, great work!
@silver trench Very nicely done! Great job removing the man and very nice job on the hose. You got the cast shadow down and the horse in shadow to look like it’s backlit just like the original image, very nice! Matching the lighting and shadow in that way really helps sell it. If I had to look for anything to suggest it might be to match the horse shadow to the man’s shadow a little bit more. I think the man’s shadow looks ever so slightly lighter than the horses. But that’s just a very small difference if you wanted to tweak it any further, great work!
@young karma Looking good! Really nice job, it’s great to see how you combined the 3 different images together. I think this looks great, but if I had to think of any small suggestions it might be nice to have the text a bit smaller as to not be so close to the knife and fork. Currently it seems a little crowded as the eye doesn’t really have a place to rest. Getting rid of the onions down below, or making the text a touch smaller as to not be so close to the knife and fork might help with that. A little. Other than that getting a little occlusion shadow right near the edge of the knife like in the original photo might help set it in place even more. Of course these are both very minor nitpicks since the image is looking really solid. Nicely done!
@tulip fern Ooh, nicely done. Lines like that barbed wire can be really tricky to remove, good work! Once you know how to use all the different tools it can really give you a lot of great options for different images, but sometimes you really only need one or two. The edits are looking really solid, good job!
@blazing quail This looks great! The font choice fits in nicely with the style and colors in the rest of the image, and I really like how you incorporated the cookies and objects over the text. Really nice job on the masking and cast shadows with those as well. Very nice touch!
@fallow bough Oh man, Ken, you nailed that! Loving that burn wood effect. The filled in wood is looking super clean as well, very nice job. Wooden boards can be a tough one, but that looks great. Impressive work!
@unreal crescent Very cool Chris! The red effect definitely gives it an interesting feel. I wonder if giving the figure a slight blur might gives it a bit more of a ghostly look. The hard edges make it look a little more like a statue or stone. Nice work!
@young karma Niice work. That looks really natural and seamless. It’s also cool to see how a single change can have such a big impact on an image. It really helps focus the attention much better without that distracting shape. Looks great!
@nova swan Nice job! The color shifts are looking good. The masking work and color choices look really clean and convincing.
Here is my challenge for day 3
@opaque fulcrum Looking good! I really like the color choices you picked, they look really convincing by not being too overly saturated or anything. Very nicely done. I do notice a little roughness in the middle image around the right shoulder strap and collar area around the chest. It looks like maybe some of the blue wasn’t covered over? Just a small nitpick. Really nice clean masking work as well!
@dense spade Ooh, Great job, very cool look to it. I like the text choice as well! I like how you moved the bowl of butter over to the left side. My only suggestion would be to try adding in a very soft cast shadow to it using a multiply layer like you see in the original image. Maybe something like this?
@jovial moss Really nice job! That’s looking really solid. Very cool to be able to take an image like that and make it look more like a planned head shot. If you wanted to push it even further I think it could help to separate his face from the background a bit since they’re so close to the same value and color. Maybe something with a slightly darker and cooler color background. It might also help to clean up the dark area around his hair on the right side. Maybe something like this? Just an idea. Really nice job separating out the portrait!
@bleak fossil Than you so much! I did another one that was a little more tricky. I added it to behance but not here. It was a Halloween joker costume. 👻 Super funsies.

Here's my DAY 3 submission, how do you all like it?
@left island ah, just saw the updated version! Love the details with the bee 🙂
@edgy idol Wow! Love the idea and the compositing you did 🙂 The masks all look super clean 👍. I think you could tweak the lighting of the moon and the flower to better match the context. For example, you can warm up the moon to simulate the reflected sunlight from the orange petals
and maybe even darken the flower slightly since the moon would be blocking the light
@glacial path oo that definitely helps the moon look better, I was adding shadows to things to try and help, but just wasn’t getting it right, I really like the warmth reflected back onto the moon
@edgy idol sometimes it also helps just to add a curves adjustment layer (with a clipping mask so it only applies to the moon). Then you can play around and increase or decrease the exposure - even for the individual channels. The good ol' "I know what I want, when I see it"
@granite carbon WOW! The blue color really goes well with the pink and red tones in the sky and on the fish! They provide a contrasting color to balance the palette 🙂 - the selection of the bridge is very clean. Good job 🙂
I would only add the shadow of the fish - currently, the fish doesn't have one 😉
@granite carbon if you loosely trace the sunrays (the green lines), you can guess where the shadow should be (black lines)
@young karma Yes, nicely done! I like the dramatic sky, the dead tree and the moody colors 🙂 To elevate your design to the next level, you should tweak the lighting a bit. For example, you can add a shadow to the tree on the right
A city also probably wouldn't leave a shadow in the sky 😉
@young karma Good color matching! The shadow on the arm seems a bit dark for the bright background (or the background is too bright for the rather dark shadows on the arm 😉 ). I love the purple glow around the gemstone! Also good job on the scene extension 🙂
@young karma maybe you can add some warm light on the girls left arm to really place her into the scene. A subtle shadow below her feet could also help
just noticed the bright shoes 😉
@vast vine Awesome job! The colors look very natural and I like how vibrant they are 🙂
@sturdy flare haha, the cats almost look like they're glowing 😄 I would probably darken the green and red a bit to make them look more natural. Also watch out for the dark edges here
@young karma Spooky 😄 I think you could darken the skulls a bit, so they don't distract from the main subject. If possible, try to separate the dragon from the background. 🙂 And last but not least, you could probably overlay a green-ish color wash on the subject layer so it matches the background lighting 👍
@thorn geyser This looks fantastic! You've nailed the retro aesthetics - you should totally add one of those VHS glitch effects 😄
It's a bit late but my entry for Day 4 is finally ready 🙂
@forest aspen This is awesome 😄 You did a great job with the color matching and the lighting 👍 . I would just remove the glow here - but that's it
@plain sable Wow, what a difference 😄 You should totally play with the light of the moon and the cat 🙂 - you could simulate the moonlight like this
and maybe even add a glow around the moon similar to the glow of the cat
Thank you for the advice @glacial path ! Is it possible to put a mask on layer styles? That way I can erase the dark edges that you mentioned. Or is there another way to shadow the cats without shadowing the whole layer with a layer style?
Gave +1 Creative Carma to evil
@plain sable you can also play with the light that would hit the road 🙂
@sturdy flare you can duplicate the layer and disable the effects on the lower layer. then, reduce the fill slider (next to Opacity) of the upper layer
now you have two layers. one with the cats and one with the layer effects
now you can apply a mask to the upper layer
@glacial path Thnx for the tips, and you're totally right, stupid that I didn't see it for myself... 🙄
Oh I understand, I always forget about the fill slider,😂 thanks a lot @glacial path !!

I have added a shadow thanks to the suggestion by @glacial path

Day 4
Here's my DAY 4! I could have added to this collage forever, it was super fun😁
I'm sure that i will work more on it... But for today this is all that i can do 🙂 I hope u all like it
Here's the redo. I learned so much about layers, with this project.
Hi there. I'm following VooDoo Val. Here is my Challenge #3 - Content Aware Fill. This was challenging.
Here is my Day 4 Challenge Compositing
@loud gull you should correct colour and you can apply lookup table after that.
wow great image @loud gull
@dusky willow Nice work on Challenge 3! It’s impressive how well content aware fill can do on complex/subtle textures like the spider web. Looking good, I like the font choice too!
@unreal crescent Hah, very cool! I love the purple landscape. It’s always funny how I start seeing Halloween decorations everywhere as soon as October hits, definitely a fun season. It could be interesting to see what the candy corn looks like more in shadow. Currently the direction of the cast shadows seem to indicate them being backlit, so it might work better if they’re darkened down to appear in shadow from our view. Nice work on this!
@trail field Ooh, you got some really cool textures and overlays going on in this one, nice job! I like how you have some variety in the contrast/opacity of the birds to give it a bit of a visual hierarchy. But I wonder if trying to get a little variety in the size of the birds might strengthen that even more. Might help the eye move around the page in a more controlled way. Really cool image!
thank you @bleak fossil

@craggy jackal Nice work Cindy! I like the simple color scheme for your blueberry festival image. Very nice calm feeling to the whole thing. I wonder if darkening down the text to increase the contrast might give it a little more punch? But that’s a super minor suggestion. It also could be cool to try blurring the blueberries not in the bowl ever so slightly to mimic the out of focus look the original image has. Might give the image some nice depth. I like the subtle background texture too, adds some nice interest!
@tacit condor This looks great! I really love the colors you chose for the text. Gives it a really nice bright feel and the darker color for the smaller text hives it a nice balance. Nice job on the content aware fill too, looks good!
@bitter ginkgo Always awesome to see people using their own images! Very impressive job with the masking. The background to the original image looks super busy with a lot of dark background areas against the dark areas of the demon guy, very nice job cutting that out. Nice work with the background blur too, gives the figure a really strong focus. It’s such a minor thing, and I’m not even sure how it would look without trying it, but I wonder if blurring the demon and masking it with a soft round brush so he’s entirely in focus but there’s only a little sense of blur on his further back pieces like the top left and right spikes, and maybe the end of the big horn piece on the very left might help add even more convincing depth. Just a thought... hah, very nicely done!
@kindred kernel Ooh, awesome job Gerard. Love the look of those red leaves, very nicely done. I wonder if getting a little more shadow on the dirt path to match the original lighting of the photo a bit as well as the nearby trees might help make the whole thing fit together a bit more. Nice composite!
@hearty wharf The adjustment on the chilis looks good! Still has that nice paper look to me. Really nice job on the bread image too, always really cool to see people use their own images, and the edits look great. It’s a subtle suggestion, but I think making “bread” the same color as the “Bake more” text and brightening the blue/green text in the top right just a touch might help. Just an idea, nice job with the content aware fill!
@young karma These are looking good! Nice job on the dress changes, always cool to see how a simple color change can make such a big difference. Really nice job on the masking too, looks really clean!
@past carbon Well done! Challenge 2 and 3 are looking great. Really love the dramatic impact the different colors has on the Challenge 2 image, very nice job on the masking as well! Really liking Challenge 3, I think the first image has a great balance with the text on the right without the objects behind it. Great job with the content aware fill on the wooden boards, that can be a tough one. Looks good!
@novel dust Great job, this is looking really nice! If I had to make any suggestion it would maybe be to increase the size of the product (the dog and box) to make it a stronger focal point, and maybe strengthen/darken the shadow where the box meets the table to match the original image of the shadow of where the wooden tray meets the table. Might make it fit a bit more. Well done!
@long void Very cool! Great use of the content aware fill/clone stamp too, looks really good! I think it might help balance the image out to move the title text up a bit and make it bigger? Currently there’s a lot of empty space at the top which makes the whole thing a bit bottom heavy. Just a small adjustment might balance it out a bit more. Really great texture on this!
@Jim Borgo#2667 The Halloween image is looking good! Nice work. I think perhaps the text and bat below it could all be moved a bit down and towards the right? Currently it’s a b it crowded above the text and theirs a lot of visual weight on the left side. Might help balance the image a bit. Nice work with the content aware fill!
@high mesa Ooh, very cool, really nice work with the content aware fill on the donuts. Currently there’s a lot of consistent brightness everywhere in the image, I wonder if toning one area down slightly might help balance it. Perhaps trying it without the sprinkles, or maybe toning down the brightness adjustment of the donuts? I feel like a few of the elements are fighting for attention. Just a thought, I like the ad, very festive looking!
@glacial path Thanks! I have added a VHS effect now 😄

@modern tundra Really nice choice on the item removal. It makes a great place for the text, and the items on the bottom point nicely towards the focal point of the dish. Really nice font choice too! The only thing I think that could be fixed would be to get the crack between the boards back, which I know can be tricky. But even so, the way the texture was replaced still looks quite natural. Nice work!
@cold cedar I like it! Cool style to the whole thing, and of course I’m digging the Halloween theme. I think something that could be improved would be to strengthened would be the overall composition or value read. Currently it’s two horizontal reads with the buildings and text, then the witch in the top left. Maybe boosting the value where you want the eye to go or even adding another visual element to lead the eye in an interesting way? Even getting more perspective in the ground lines could help make it more dynamic. Maybe something like this? Really nice work on these challenges!
@fallow bough Very cool Ken! Definitely a cool surreal feel to this one! I really like the reflection on the hand as well. A few suggestions I think could push this even further if you’d like: It might be a cool effect to blur the reflection in the water to sell the effect a bit more, and maybe even add a bit of a warm glow on the hand to help sell the lighting. Perhaps a little warmth on the left side to balance out the strong warm color on the right as well Maybe something like this? Nicely done!
@glacial path thank you, also, I already put a subtle shadow underneath her, but even then I thought it could be a little more subtle haha.

How do you decrypt a blurred out screen shot
Here is my Day #4 Challenge. I had a lot of fun messing with the grid. I am curious what people think. Thank you
The description of my composition is on Behance.
I like it a lot @scenic anchor , very creative! The texture in the grid is that an aereal image?
Day 4.
This is the original, first effort
This is the 2nd after Sam's guidance. Toned down the brightness, eased off the sprinkles etc...such a better image
@bleak fossil - thanks for your input Sam, the image, text and brand breathes so much more, it allows the eye to relax into the image; the first was too harsh, busy and just wrong really! Thanks again

Challenge #4 I used the Scan Lines pattern which Jesus Ramirez thaught us in September. I thought I had it still in my patterns, but it disappeared....can someone tell me how I can save the patterns in such a way that they will not disappear in Photoshop? I used also the space background of @jolly quest.
@fickle relic that's super cool! I like the texture you applied to the background, and great job on the details, especially the reflection of the astronaut's helmet!
@past carbon very nice concept using abstract architecture and texture 🙂
@coral stone glad you like it. i actually didn't apply any texture on the background, It was already there but i enhanced it. Thx for your comment

Thank you @tulip fern The grid was 3 of the cream colored images that I manipulated/transformed with perspective, distort and warp and then applied color dodge blending mode. When I applied the color dodge to the first manipulated grid I was so excited with the happy accident that I played with it the rest of the night. When I stopped at 1:30 I thought; Where did you come from? lol I had a lot of fun.
Thanks for sharing @scenic anchor , sounds a lot like my adventure 😂 When I described my project on Behance I indeed started with mentioning that the results are from experimenting. And yes it is great fun!
Thank you @tulip fern I love learning and connecting with extremely talented people like you. I appreciate the feedback. It is an incredible adventure.

love the texture on your grid @scenic anchor
Thanks @bleak fossil. I will see what else I can do with it. I like the glow you added; I had one but took it out. It didn't look that good.

Not really finding the sweet spot on this but let me know if it reads better @bleak fossil
Challenge 4: Compositing
Challenge #4 Composting...😀
... my Challenge #4 - Composing
Combine and edit images to create a surreal landscape
Images used
@bleak fossil Thanks for the feedback. I wasn't happy with the reflection so was going to try a displacement filter using the water. Your blur suggestion was much easier and far more realistic looking. Added an orange glow to a few spots and increased the size of the glow behind the globe.

Added a teal-orange LUT and darkened to change the mood a bit.

Challenge #4. I'm following "trying to follow" VooDoo Val. This last challenge was challenging and fun. Attempted to follow Surreal-Retro theme. I'm posting as I keep changing it. I think it's a bit dark. 🙃
