i try to go for the vss as my end game rifle this is why i haven’t noticed
hell it's more of a challenge to stay suppressed purely due to the eco

you’d have to run a pistol and a shield
spend all the money on good pistol ammo and suppressor management

it's a real caliber
but you can’t afford to run it until you basically found a rifle that’ll do the job
that's why the kedr is the eco king, was kind of forced to run it with subsonic indefinitely due to just not enough money to afford the bullets for anything else

if you play it on normal difficulty relatively unlikely. If you combine it with Weighed Random Enemy Spawns (which is how i personnaly play it) its extremely unlikely

I usse other mods so I try to keep conflicts low yk, wish me luck boys I'm going in
Stalker is set up so that in most cases, any conflicts will overwrite the stalker mod behavior. most notably anything that changes item's prices, durability or weight, or anything to do with enemy stats is what will be incompatible with stlaker mod
honestly it's a coinflip, random is random, welcome to stalker
the odds are more likely for a as val squad which idk if that's better or worse
today or eh tonight i was trying to first time mod into the radius i step upon a stalker overhaul .. there was description with everything can be spawned everywhere ... but who the f.. thinks its good idea to spawn 7 armored mimics with mp5 in first location when ui go for second mission ? i dont remember that in stalker when u go out from rookie village there was monolith spawn on ATP xD
Yeah, the first time I ever played, it was fairly reasonable. I didn't even see my first slider until fifteen to twenty hours into my playthrough. Meanwhile, on my most recent run, I ran out of ammo twice just trying to clear out Pervomay.
Slider the first time i went to bolotky was.. fun
I never realised how much I rely on fixed enemy spawns to keep me safe
Until I got to bolotky and strolled without fear right into an ambush on the road 😬
With an unsuppressed sks, one shot meant the whole map came to fight
hey, wasn't sure if this was meant to be a feature of the overhaul or not - but I've been noticing that when my backpack reaches ~25-30kg, I suddenly become very slow.. as if I was weighing 50kg. Any way to fix it, as it can get tedious / break immersion imo
The text also becomes orange at 30kg, which I find odd since IRL you'd 'easily' be able to carry 30kg on your back, without it affecting much of your speed (ingame, I literally walk like a snail at 30kg)
these are all the mods I'm using by the way, incase it's needed
I know stalker overhauls the weight and stamina system in it's own way, basically you're much faster when light weight and much slower when heavy, so yeah that checks out

stalker generally 2x's the players movement multipliers (it does more than just that but for simple terms, stalker speed)
reckon I can use the stamina mod on nexus to change it, or would that conflict with stalker overhaul?
Stamina mod will remove a whole bunch of features of the mod. It wont crash but a bunch of seemingly random things will be reverted to vanilla

It does not. Or, at the very least, mine doesn't.

by default it only changes the helmet model, with a patch to opt out
there are no currently public and functional mods which do such, some are in dev but it's one of the biggest bitches to do thus, not done often
It does change the mimic sounds into some weird russian talk which i hate

I could be wrong, but I think it's just Monolith lines.
they fit in S.T.A.L.K.E.R... the name of the mod, and what the mod attempts to recreate in vr, using a very similar game as an open canvas
that's why the patches are there for those who prefer more, or less ITR, in their "STALKER in vr" experience
Brought an M14 and Deagle into Factory. Pretty sure I killed everything in and around the Intrusion warehouse building just cause the entire map heard the first couple shots and came to the party. Only enemies I found left on the map were mainly the snipers in the towers.
I get that those guns are loud, but sometimes I think the mod kinda overdoes it.
There are difficulty options for a reason. Turning down enemy perception a bit makes it less extreme
i would agree on that as the btr is able hone in on you at very long ranges compared to the base game
and i mean VERY LONG RANGES
I pretty much shat myself when it fired upon me when i was in the safehouse overlooking the village and the same could be said about the bridge to the green house near the vanno entrance
although i didn't fire any guns or turn on any lights to get to btr's attention
when those events happened
if you don't have a suppressor, assume the entire map is after your ass, and knows where you are at all times, yes the btr can see through and shoot through walls, cry
even then some suppressed weapons are loud anyways alerting an entire point of interest, including the BTR
mf these are the 2nd and 3rd loudest guns in the game right behind the sawn off shotguns, and they are substantially louder by a LOT

The BTR isnt drawn by sounds. Its not set up to hear. Its view is based on its light which is very far reaching and frequently scanning in multiple directions. Pretty sure lights dont draw its attention either, not like normal enemies at least.
I know lights absolutely effect most enemies, specially at night, otherwise I'd have all my lights on all the time full blast, without fear of just getting 1 shot aimbotted by a fkn WHERE kind of sniper
It does seem like not as big an issue now but i remember when enemies could see lights thru walls. I think in some cases, they still can. They dont aggro on you, but they will still be alerted.

I think only on highly decreased perception the hearing and awareness of enemies is closer to vanilla
weighed enemies seems to overwrite stalkers behavior of this tho
iirc decreased is pretty much vanilla normal
probably in a long while given the state of the mod, ontop of no official mod support is planned for itr2 for until after EA, and even then it'll be with very very different tools and methods and not many things at all are going to be drag and drop (if any)
enjoy itr2 for what it is now, as it feels much closer to what the 1.0 build wanted to be way back when
I will attempt a ITR2 Stalker mod when the time comes
but equally, theres less work to do on it already because it seems like every gun of the same caliber does mostly the same damage
all 9x18 guns do the same damage, as far as I can tell
so that's already one of the major changes done
aside from guns all i could think of is the economy and loot pool progression and it'd already be back to similar expectations, but EA and many changes planned so yeah better to just wait for the tools for more robust mod versions
Hi I'm trying to do a STALKER overhaul playthrough before I do ITR 2. I am running the most current version, and have SO 1.08 installed, along with the mist, the patch for the mist, and weighed enemy respawns. It looks like the stalker mod works, but only around half of the store prices are increased heavily. There are random attachments that have the normal price, along with some other items being very cheap still. Is this how the mod is? I also only noticed the normal shadow mimics in pervomay, but that could be due to the weighed respawns mod seeing as how I haven't done more than the first mission yet. Gotta say I am loving that revolver tho!
as far as I'm aware everything seems normal, the reason why you only noticed normal shadow mimics is indeed cause of the weighed respawns but also cause enemy spawns change after every tide (it is completely random, some days are harder than others) - You can check the settings if you want the shop prices changed
I'm playing with STALKER Overhaul and WER as well, not using mist though but I'm sure that won't be causing any issues
I was watching gameplay on YouTube and noticed there weren't security levels for him, yet I still had them. Aren't they supposed to be disabled? And a lot of the basic survival equipment was pretty cheap and for him it was a lot more expensive. Is there a chart of what the prices should be?
Sounds like theres an iteminfos conflict somewhere. Can you screenshot your paks folder?

I tried un installing everything except for STALKER, and it had the same effect. So I've added the others back in. The only change now, is that I've switched the weighted spawns mod from the main file 2.0 to the 2.6 version I saw on the mod page.
I'm not far into my first game, so if I need to do a fresh install or new game it wouldn't be an issue. Thanks again for the help guys I appreciate it!
As far as i know you shouldn’t need a fresh save for the shop to work. Your installation does look correct as far as I can tell
Hmmm odd, it just seems like certain items are very expensive but then others aren't
For example some of the starter pistols are still pretty cheap along with a lot of the ammunition, but then the attachments are 20k+
But a tokarev is 450 and I still have security levels for some reason, that's why it makes me feel like something got messed up
Yeah there definitely shouldn’t be security level. Have you tried testing on a fresh save?

with the sand storm overhaul i ran up to crane in factory and climbed it to hopefully take out a majority of the enemies

I've swapped to nightmare difficulty on my stream play through, and i can already sense I'm gonna have a terrible time lol does anyone have any tips at all
Just how bad is it 
I played a little bit on another save, one police mimic took 7 shots from a TT FMJ to kill at range
2 headshots
and then there were about 300 fragments and spawn, so maybe ill adjust the difficulty myself
How hard would you define reduce difficulty from regular normal
At the moment i have it on normal but with increased enemy health and damage, increased enemies was just torture for me lol

I'm trying to get this mod to work (first time attempting to mod ITR) and I'm fairly sure the pak is in the right place? The 1.08 version didn't work, and neither does this supposedly updated version I found through the youtube video 🤔 I'm also starting a new game but security levels and such are still there. Anyone got any ideas why it doesn't work?
You may want to get the to date version which is on mod nexus
That's more than likely the problem as it looks like the version you showed is an outdated version of the mod
As the current version of itr 1 is 2.7
also where are the actual game paks
that folder looks entirely empty which is worrying since thats where the game is meant to be
Those aren't needed in some cases but they do help out much more when modding to just leave them alone

Yeah just go to my games folder in documents and the saves should be there
I can't provide the exact route as I'm not on a pc atm
here's the route to access the save files for backing up \Documents\My Games\IntoTheRadius\v2.0\saves
took me a bit to get to my pc
also depending on how many save profiles you made there may be a lot of save files in that folder
it'll be like 2 hours before it's reinstalled, will check if the folder is there or not this time around and let you know

ok, reinstalling the game seems to have added Paks and other folders I never had before lol. I'll try again after sorting out dinner with the mods, thanks for the help guys 😄

This mod is genuinely awesome, really adds so much more replayability
Who knew that clearing factory with a 1x optic DVL could be so fun
If you're open to suggestions I feel like the fancier shotguns could use a little something to give them a niche. I took the pump into Pervomay and felt less confident than I would with a GSH. With how loud and clumsy they are, there's not much to justify using them, which is a shame as they're really fun.
Could be a skill issue though
i'm pretty sure thats how shotguns are meant to be in stalker mod

btw being loud in stalker mod isn't a great idea as it could get you killed by entities real quick
Yeah, I realised which is why i felt they're not really worth using other than maybe good ammo prices and low maintenance cost
I had fun with a max spawn settings playthrough. It was an absolute nightmare, but very engaging.
funny thing is thats not the highest spawn rates for stalker mod
theres a mod out there that triples the spawn rates of the stalker mod spawn rates

Only in the spreadsheat. Nothing in game says anything about it. I cant even find any mentions of heavy barrel in games files 😄
Hey, I'm planning on making a patch for new custom items mods (Like chuck or r3mains) that would balance new items they add to match the spirit of STALKER mod (Cartrige based damage, velocity, shot loudness, etc).
May I ask what was the reasoning behind making the 7.62x39 FMJ and AP rounds have damage modifier of 1.10 instead of 1.00 like the rest of the ammunition? Why not just balance the damage in weaponinfos file for this caliber?
Probably just easier to tweak it in the ammo table than adjust all the 7.62 weapons
hey so question here? whenever i try start a new game, i dont spawn with a weapon when i am at the hub for the first time and the old revolver isnt spawning in the red box, is there a way to fix this? or is some mod conflicting with stalker overhaul?
