@ember comet If a mod has copyrighted material, it is most likely that we won't allow it as a mod, as it is very easy for legal issues to arise from such a thing
We will allow mods that are inspired by copyrighted material, but it must be your own design, models and idea, you won't be able to just copy in Godzilla and call it 'Codzilla' for example

This is why we try not to encourage people making mods of Jurassic Park hybrids or the like, as we most likely can't have them as a mod
(This also applies for skins as well, you cannot simply copy in a copyrighted skin)

there's a lot of differences between the WWD Community Allosaurus skin versus the design seen in Walking With Dinosaurs. the pattern is very different, the marking are different with spots behind the eyes, etc. A grey dino + red crest can't really be copyrighted.

It's moreso if the dino skin is copied 1:1 from a copyrighted source, it could be considered copyright infringement, and I'd argue this only really tends to work with extremely distinct designs. For example, making a white skin might look like an Indominus from Jurassic Park, but it's not distinct enough for a flat white dinosaur to actually be copyrightable,

whereas something like Blue the Velociraptor could be copyrighted because there's a particular blue stripe, white outlines, stripes, etc. that can be clearly identifiable.

Hi, I had a crazy idea I wanted to do a variant on an albino. Albinos aren't always pinkish white. They can have red spots (instead of black). And I went on the idea later, of an albino, Koi type. The name of the skin "piece of meat" goes very well I think 🙂 . It's really not a style I usually do. But then, I said to myself let's go for it 🙂

@half cloak I recommend Ibis definitely if you want to make skins because Autodesk doesn't have a clipping feature (allows you to clip a layer onto the one underneath so you can only draw over that layer)

What do you guys think if I make a Void Allosaurus?
Male: Full on jet-black body with a light belly, and a distinct bright magenta coloration on the ridges on top of his eye. I'll maybe add some small blue coloration around its eyes. Tail will have the same magenta stripes but faded.

Female: Lighter dark grey body, a white underbelly with some white speckles between it and the top half. Faded pink coloration on the ridges, and some light brown coloration around its eyes.
