The gunsmith stats are incorrect. Hbra3 with a range listed as "48" still has longer range compared to m4 (range 58) and hvk (range 51). I used weapon comparsion system and the different is noticeable. Hbra3 doesn't need barrels for range. The only downside is that the damage drops more down despite having longer range.
