Hopefully not, but if you do that means deferred cubemaps are flawed like vanilla, slightly offset. Someone will have to make a script to reproject them to correct for that, or just wait for mojang to fix it

Could you try flying up in the sky, make fov 90 and take a screenshot with camera command, as if you were making a cubemap. This will tell us whether cubemap perspective is right or not

This seam shouldn't be visible when looking directly forward with 90 fov, it should match with the lower part of the screen while the seam on top would match with the top screen border

bugs like this are a prime example of why it should stay in preview until its perfectly cooked and ready to go. (dont take this as im knocking or hating on the devs cuz im not. this is the game dev cycle stuff unintentionally breaks really badly especially with heavily incomplete and beta software)

also like SSS just works for all the parts of texture even if mer has half as full opaque and half is 80% transparent it doesn't matter the whole texture has SSS
right is SSS with 1 emissive and left is SSS but no Emissive
They need to fix ACES emissive textures because reinhard luma excels at that
It's like it's glowing from the inside
The downside of using SSS instead of emissive is that other light sources will also shine through the block
yeah it just made me realized that when i used 0 emissive with sss on frog lights

I think we just needed a better GI technique, so that light source blocks can be illuminated by surrounding bounced light, including its own.

There's a section here titled volumetric fog
after some testing, i found an issue which resulted in my night sky being darker than intended, i have now corrected this and honestly looks fairly good after some tweaks
(please note the issue was in my pack and not a game issue)
also added a very small MIE scattering value to the moon to give it a little extra punch
