The hp you lose because of fireball isn't worth the little dmg it gives.

Because you have a stat called defence

-175 hp for only 35 dmg is not a good exchange rate, even more for explorers.

Events such as fountain are dependant on your current max hp, it can save a lot.

The hp is also important because the defence stats means you lose less hp on each strike, the more hp you have the more you survive.

That's why fireball is mainly used for war, because you don't use hp on wars, only dmg

In your case, you have 252 max hp.

When you use 7 fireball it's a -175 hp, so you end up with 30% of your original hp.

Your attack is 78, with fireball 113, around 45% increase.

That's a 70% hp loss for only 45% dmg increase.

You lose 10% hp for a 6,43% dmg increase.

Not a good ratio imo.

Also, your defense of 36 means you won't be able to survive monsters above level 10.

And bosses is sooner than lvl 10.

You could mitigate that with love spell, but then you won't get a +175 hp, which is a huge bonus in Dungeons

Okay here have my summary bc no one can get it straight

The attack you looked at was the damage you would recieve which would be significantly lower than his actual attack. Tjat is because if you dont attack you get a passive defence of 1/4th of your defence. If you choose defend you will recieve the full 43 defence but not the extra 1/4th passive defence.

His actual attack was something like 53 bc of ur passive defence you would recieve 43/4 less damage which is around 10. Soo the damage shown above was 43. Since you chose defend you would recieve 43 less damage. 53-43 is 10 damage, which you recieved. The math lines up so there tou go (:
